If anyone needs help to S-rank this then read this. After some playing around with some charms, I found out that the time in which you beat this doesn’t matter as long as you fill all other requirements and also bring a heart charm. If you you don’t get hit and keep the heart charm so you end the battle with 4 hp, the time won’t matter and you will get an S-Rank. For some reason the extra health point will make up for the time. If you are struggling with any boss fights and take a heart charm you can also get hit until you are left with 3 hp and still get an S-Rank if the time and everything checks out. Plz like so others can see. I wish someone had told me this before I wasted loads of time trying to S-Rank this game.
Uhm yeah, time does in fact matter, I used twin heart charm, got hit once, so had 4 HP left, and got everything else. Only thing was time. So yeah I got A+. Don't listen to them, they don't know what the hell they're talking about
Dang... a year ago I was illiterate. Alright so I’m back to explain what I was trying to say a year ago. Basically what I meant was, if you use a charm that grants you extra hp, and that extra hit point(s) is taken away because you get hit by something, you will still get an s-rank as long as you fulfill every other requirement. Keep your health at 3hp and fill every other requirement and you’ll get the sweet long-desired s-rank. This is what carried me through most of the late game s-ranks because a flawless run is inconceivable for my skill level. That extra hit always came in clutch.
Andrew Bichon. What I meant about the time was that as long as you play the game somewhat well, time won’t matter because you have a lot of extra time to finish off the boss. Just spam bombs and it’s an easy win.

oh man... i did it in two minutes with so much fear that she would hit and lose my S rank ; your attacks are so fast and precise to do a lot of damage plus the damage of the whetstone amazing really amazing!!
Previous WR wasn't that well optimized, so I got this time kinda fast, actually. I'm pretty sure someone will beat my time pretty soon, though. There's a lot of room for improvement.
I know this comment is a year apart but they're not cheating they whetstone charm deals x2 damage (I think) to the boss and along with that you can parry them.
