If I understand your question correctly, you should be able to watch the episodes starting from any one you like without prior knowledge of the series/playthrough or any of the characters referenced (after all even I don’t even know some of them LOL). There are some inside jokes, but I usually repeat them enough where someone new to the series could hopefully pick up what those are/mean and follow along too.
