- Jeep Wrangler TJ clutches aren't too bad to install. The throwout bearing in my dad's 2006 TJ went out so we are replacing the whole kit. Unfortunately, I didn't get every step because they finished it up while I had to go to work.
These parts are for a 2005 - 2006 Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0 6-cylinder and 6-speed manual transmission. They will not fit the older 5 speed TJs.

What a great detailed video!!! Thank you for taking the time to film it.
I like your way of doing it bro. That trick of tilting it down is the way I learned it years ago. From a junkyard man R.I.P. Earl. For a Transmission Jack we I use a 4x4 sitting across the doors and a come along through the shifter opening in the floor. Sounds funny till you try it it allows you to move it around easier than a jack.
Thanks for this video. Great info.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good morning and Happy almost Thanksgiving! Great video! Have a great day y'all!
Good morning and Happy almost Thanksgiving to you! Thanks, glad you like the video! Have a great day! ✌😀
Your videos are the easiest to follow I have found. I hope you do more TJ stuff. I noticed what looks like magnets on the oil pan. I am guessing that is to pull metal particles to the bottom. Would you confirm that and have you checked to see if it works? Thanks.
Have you ever done a video on all the YJ sensors and switches, hookups and locations?
I have individual videos of each sensor. But, not as one video I haven't. But that is a very good idea that I will get started asap. Thanks for a great idea!
good day... congratulations for your videos... I ask you... which clutch manufacturer do you recommend for a cgs370 of my 2005 TJ 6 L engine...?
Make sure you got a good come along.
I got my pilot bearing out with a large bolt, hammer, and a Hawaiian roll
Thats an awesome trick!!
good stuff man, gonna go invent some new cus words now
Glad you liked it! Frustration make ya do weird things 😂
I have a problem with a transfer case going into low four-wheel-drive is it an easy fix
I have no way of knowing that. It could be the bushings for the linkage. Maybe you need to change fluid in the transfer case or it could be something else. Most of the time it is the plastic bushings for the shifter linkage.
Intimidating
There is a lot to it. If you aren't comfortable doing it, take it to a trustworthy mechanic.
Just remplaced my clutch assembly. Everything is back in and wont go into gear. Any idea?
Sounds like you need to bleed the clutch system.
How many hours did it take you?
I didn't keep track of time so I have no idea.
Just pull the engine. Easier than all that IMHO.
Naa .. it's not bad at all. I've done several YJs, TJs and many other cars/trucks.
