    I started my bricklaying course yesterday and during quarantine I’ve watched these vids and thought it was so easy I kinda got the hand of it but it harder than I thought

      It's how you handle to tool and set the mortar on the bricks or blocks I imagine. Interviewing with a company that does bricks and blocks tomorrow...

    Is there any reason why you flip the brick from the bottom to the top or top to bottom?(im new and trying to learn)

      The face of the brick with the ridges on is the back of the brick that's intended to be unseen, the other faces are flat and smooth which is the side people will see.

      You could be a brick layer, a person that works on pipes, know how to use a tractor, or basically a construction it’s not that bad and you get payed some money for it

    Why do you flip the bricks twice? I understand that there is a front and a back to the brick, but the top and bottom of those bricks look the same to me what else are you looking for?

    Maybe this is a stupid question, but why do you occasionally rotate the brick’s exposed face before you butter? Can this type of brick be upside down?

      At some points you can see they have grooves on one side so yeah i guess it would be upside down

    Hey Stu, are you spinning them to ensure the texture isn’t upside down?
    We have bricks in Canada that have textures that have an up and down.

    How much you pay in england for the gloves?
    I tried all kinds of gloves but maxiflex are by far the best in my opinion
    I work construction in Romania and in summer at 35-40°C my hands dont sweat and dont stink, it's impressive how good they are

    Just out of interest Stu did you have any mishaps on this scaffold with your ankle?
    You only have 2 boards from bricks and their is a nice cavity waiting to roll your ankle at any time.
    Lovely bricklaying fluidity, its such a shame the housebuilders in the UK are opting for the budget end of bricks to build homes out of (my opinion, perhaps not fact).
    Really enjoying these short sharp POV videos of you laying, keep them coming where possible, thumbs up.

      Many textures on bricks have an up and down to them, I think he’s most likely looking at them and then spinning if need be.

    Why not use Dow styrofoam in the cavity for more R value? I know it costs more but the higher R value will require less energy to run the home.

    Learn a trade. In KCMO union carpenters make 40.37 an hour with full benefits that dont get taken out of your check. So technically like 62 an hour. I make 80k a year building acoustic ceilings with 0 student loans lol
