We didn't have internet, smartphones, tablets but we were much happier than nowadays kids. We used to record the last hits from the radio on cassettes. My hands were trembling when I had a new CD album with my favorite band. Those emotions are all gone. Internet killed the very essence of music.
It killed the essence of your music experience, but lets be honest, thanks to the internet this hits can be listened forever (and believe me that nowadays raves and parties still put many of this and can select from sooo many years of hits!). Nowadays it is easier to get access to good music, to learn to compose music and find your style and so on... Internet is not the problem on itself... imo is the social media and all the legal addictive algorithms to get people addicted to those apps and makes us dumb. Luckly I think nowadays it is commonly known that social media is objectively shit... I hope one day it gets out of trend and we all people wake up and realise that REAL LIFE IS OUT THERE, not in an Instagram post.

I was a teen in the early 90's and I loved this music but my parents thought it was crap. Now I have teens of my own and I think their music is crap. A never ending circle
Both are crap, that's the thrust. Simply these songs remind us our young time, our teen age. It's only nostalgy, exactly the same way your parents likes tv show from the '60, or their 1st car, even if everybody could tell them it was really a shit on 4 wheels, because we would compare with modern cars... So, what is objectively good ? I guess what every generation can listen and truly like, is "good" : Classical music, soul music (let your teens listen Aretha Franklin, just to see...) and, you know, everything which still survived untill us. Because there is no band in this "dance compilation" who's still active today. All of them are fallen in far memories.
I guess you can call me a pre teen and honestly new music isnt that good, especially rap and hip hop, older rap and hip hop was ok and i listen to it a little but overall not too good,i think il just stick to rock, country&western and some of this stuff
And honestly now rhat you mention hoe its a circle notice how every generation shits on the next generation like as in right now where older dudes are saying kids have technology and have easy lives, and at the same time they mention how thier dad shat on thier generation for the same thing, like honestly isnt making life easier the point?
I guess every age and genre has its good and bad songs.. Not all of these songs are "crap" or bad quality..Some are genius and iconic like Prodigy or Faithless. Of course our memories are strongly connected, but if you are a music lover you can recognise the differences and appreciate the new as much as the old.
Back to the 90s when eurodance took over the world!!! I remember Alfa radio station in Mexico City only playing eurodance nonstop. Good times to be young ❤

@@ehsiehs368 Nah youre wrong fella, Kraftwurk are one of the oldest electronic groups, but techno was founded in Detroit and Chicago for house music.
Trance originated in Germany...

90s and early 2000s music seems like a time where music around the world was simple and balanced. It wasnt as boring as its previous decades, and not overelaborate in the decades that followed.
Im an European born in ‘94 and grew up with these songs and still listen to them. These are gold. How can someone not vibe with to these rhythms 😌 i feel sorry for those who didnt get to grow up with Barbie Girl or im Blue 😂

Thank you for reminding on how great the 1990s was for all of us alive in Ghana.
Who remembers sitting in their bedroom for hours on end doing a mixtape of all their best tracks from different CD's that you borrowed from friends. Recording one track and you had to press stop at precisely the right time, pull the cassette out and then wind it back a little bit, then start the next track.
Nothing worse than when your Walkman chewed up your cassette😭

@@petrojuli I remember, it used to get to 98% / 99% in a matter of minutes, then seem to take about half an hour to complete 🤣😂.

My friends and I would sit by the radio with a blank tape ready to go on Friday nights waiting for the weekly top 10 hits😂
@@victoriamarx3267 I didn't even know I received your comment, but I can remember back in 99, sitting there on New Year's Eve waiting for the Millennium and when the proper music started I hit record, it was about 11 o'clock, radio station was Key 103. Still got the cassette to this day. The track played bang on midnight:
Binary Finary 1999 remix by Ferry Corsten.
Whenever I hear 1990s songs I feel like I am missing some thing in my life ....
I feel the same
Omg same
Youre missing your youth, I feel the same way, missing a funner simpler time. I also understand that funner isn't a real word
It's look like missing my childhood times and past life before my Birth 😢😢😭😭 and now its like i want it back that time in my life For Forever cause that time was very Heavenly and paradise.. Missing 😢😢😭😭
I know exactly what you mean. Wanna chip in for a time machine?!
@@jplanqua2742 Love him or hate him he's spitting straight facts.
It was so good to live in the 90's being a child/teen listening to these songs. So many good memories. I wish I could spend some time in 1995 again , when I was 11 and loved to dance to many of these songs. Thank you for uploading this great playlist. 👏😍💞
