  • The Vectiv Sky is a carbon plate trail shoe that’s designed to offer a lightweight ride, a balanced level of cushioning and a good amount of stability.
The midsole foam incorporates a 4 mm Pebax insert at the forefoot to improve rebound, and there’s a rocker that incorporates a forked design in the heel and forefoot to offer support on technical terrain.
The upper is built to be light and breathable and has a sock-style design for a lock-down fit, and the outsole is covered with a Surface CTRL rubber for grip and includes 3.5mm lugs.
Tom has taken the shoe out for a first run across the down to get some early impressions.

I picked up a pair since I love TNF Vectiv Flights, the Sky however, totally different shoe. Less stack, much more ground feel. There are some nice improvements, laces and materials. I loved them on my first 10 mile run. Then I took them on a run with over 2k of vert and 18 miles and the collar destroyed my ankles. There seems to be a firm unforgiving cord like material on the collar and it rubbed hard on my ankle bone on the downhills. I picked up some insoles to give my heel a lift, hoping to reduce the contact, but it only improved it marginally. I will likely relegate these shoes to short fast and flat training sessions.

Great review, honest and informative. looking for a fast comfortable shoe for 50km on single trails which would you suggest Peregrine or Xodus ultra 2 ? Thanks

No, wider than the Flights by a smidge.
