Yeah everybody can sing but it takes a really long time to have it ... there's a filipina artist who really love to sing but unfortunately music doesn't love her but she still keep doing it but no improvements at all ... that's why I dis.agree with u cause if you're really born to it that's wer u belong ...
Ohhh one thing I am a Filipino and I can sing too not just can sing I can sing so well but I didn't take any practices or vocal lesson it's just in my brain that comes out to my mouth and it just happend ... give me some song that I didn't know I can memorize it less than an hour ... cause if you're really a singer u have to be born to it ...
“What you’re actually seeing, is your potential being reflected to you, by someone else” woooooowwww how AMAZING IS THAT!!! These videos are revolutionary!!!
You have no idea how much this helped me! i think i want to pursue a professional singing career but i dont have the amazing voice like all of the popular artists. but now i am going to ask my mom to let me take singing classes so maybe one day i will be as good as they are. i really love singing i sing every day all the time. i think this is what i want to do and it would make me so happy to call singing my career. i didnt think it was possible, but now i have hope! sorry for rambling about myself but i just needed to let you know how much you helped me! thank you soooooooooooooo much! :,D
Really Late Update (whoops!): lessons didn't work out, but I still practice on my own! Since this comment I have been practicing and practicing, and can definitely see an improvement in my voice, so much so that it's kind of shocking. Practice and consistency really are the keys to success. There's been moments I felt like giving up, but I've been pushing through. I've now recorded two demos of my songs, and have been writing and working on more music (and improving). I think over the past years I have really gotten to know my voice and myself as an artist!
amberpearly I do think that some people tend to be born with some kind of talent that comes naturally to them. Others have to work much harder. Music to me just comes naturally. I can write a melody, put lyrics to a song (I’m not nearly as good with lyrics or my vocals) play all the instruments, and have it all recorded within 3 to 5 hours, and it sounds pretty good. But if you ask if I can draw, or paint anything, or much else, I’m terrible at it. Even my handwriting is terrible.-)
I feel like i can sing but my voice is horrible i cant hold a melody or a note or whatever. I feel like if I take training seriously I will sing properly
I cannot believe it.Watching every video,EVERY SINGLE F@@ VIDEO of yours, brings me tears, and I can never help them. All that you say resonate so profoundly within me.It's almost frighetening the size of your influence to me.God bless you Madeleine.Love from Greece.
Yeah its correct.. Because at first years ago i was not able to sing even simple notes.. But now Iam improving day by day because of practices and my love towards music... Its enjoyable... No matter how much hard you work and gets tired but the happiness of the result is worthy
This is so comforting to hear. I love singing so much! I practise every day. I'm not claiming to be good at it yet but I'm beginning to think it's possible. I get stuck in old memories of teachers telling me I was no good when I was very young. They would have been right at the time.I just wished people could be kind enough to add the word, "yet. " To say you're not good yet. Thank you for your videos. I will watch them all! I would also like to ask you how to correct tone and how to strengthen the chest voice. I feel like I'm getting better at belting but that talky singing range sounds weaker the more I belt. How do you improve that part of your voice? I just sound kind of flat and nasely and I really don't like the sound of my chest voice. I'm a New Zealander so maybe it has to do with my accent but it just sounds really bad to me. I'd love your help! Thank you again for your videos!
Hey Madeleine, hope to find u in good Health n Spirits. My experience in Singing started around 3-4 yrs of age. I never became a professional although I wish I could have made more of an effort to pursue that possibility. As life happens an we put our dreams to the side, I find myself with more time now. I can work on my vocal chords and still enjoy that love that I have for Music. I'm happy to say I have found the vocal coach that I always needed. I don't consider myself a 'Singer' by any stretch but I do believe I can carry a tune. Now in my Senior yrs, I'm excited to work with what I have. Thank you, for making yourself available to us, I so appreciate you. 🙏😊
Janie Garces I’ve been thinking about putting a band together for a senior place I live in. I don’t like singing, Janie. I can play any song I hear the first or second time I hear it. But it’s such a hassle when there are no shows and things like that. I’m thinking about doing the most popular songs on the radio that have been played the last 50 years. But I’m not that good trying to do all this myself and play every instrument, and remembering where I’m at in the song as I used to be. If someone else was singing, there wouldn’t be a problem. Anyway, you could sing at senior places. There are lots of lonely people out there that have nobody. Just the ability of being able to carry a tune is fantastic, in my opinion.
I'm so happy that I found this channel! A few months ago I started to think about studying Music, but what always frightens me is my voice. Yet it is very thin and I don't really know how to become better and more confident. I went to a few lessons, but I don't feel like it helped me. I'm really scared, because the test for entering these studies seems to be so hard and I feel like I haven't enough time left. At least your videos give me some hope, because you explain and encourage so awsome! Thank you
Thank you for such a positive and encouraging message! You have really encouraged me to start learning singing seriously. When I become a good singer, I will have YOU to thank for it! 🙏🏼😊
This makes me sad. I can sing very well naturally. Since I was a kid I was called a "prodigy". I love singing, but I'm to shy. I can't even sing in front of my family. I would give my talent away in a heartbeat if it was possible. Because I'm wasting it.

I know your comment is ancient, but that's actually why a lot of performers use costumes and props or puppets. (Gimmicks) It creates a psychological barrier for them by helping them redirect the audience's attention away from themselves and on to something else like a stage character or a prop.
I get that.. same with me... I'm too uncomfortable with expressing my emotions... my family has been very intimidating emotionally and all i know is I'm just too shy because of it n can't share my emotions or feel understood by anyone or have friends.. i do love my family but they're not emotionally loving towards me.. i just don't like how they are. And their thick vibration is really annoying. I feel better alone. And that's the whole problem.
Thanks so much Madeleine Harvey. I love to sing all the time. I love to sing by myself and to my friends, but my friends and family always tell me to stop trying stop singing you suck. At that moment when im singing i start to believe them. That i will never be good enough, i have given up so many times. Maybe i will never make it being a sing but at least i know that i have a chance. I cant afford singing lessons so thats why i sing by myself. I just one day want my family and friends to admire my singing. To say i have a chance or somethings. Thank you agian
+barrelbuddy It can be really difficult when the people surrounding you don't necessarily support your singing. At the end of the day...why do you love to sing? (I bet the answer has nothing to do with anyone else.) Sure, we need feedback in order to grow...But while you are exploring your voice, give yourself permission to accept what qualities present themselves to you through your voice. If you feel that others might not "like" the sound...well then keep it to yourself while you are nurturing your voice. Build that self love that comes from truly accepting yourself and what ONLY you can offer. Once you do, you will no longer NEED their acceptance or approval. You can simply shine! But please don't deprive yourself of what makes you happy...regardless if someone else finds it "unworthy." No one else can tell you WHO YOU ARE. Keep singing! Keep shining!
You really helped me out a bunch. I am a girl and my voice is lower than most girls in my class and my dream is to sing like Ariana grande and adele (I'm 19) and to show my mom and dad I can sing. Hello friend! Voice is a lot like being an athlete. Just like dance is the art of movement of the body, singing is the art of moving vibrations with air. There are infinite ways that you can move your voice. The biggest aspect of creating a signature sound is to incorporate drama into your voice. There are two big components of drama. Exaggeration and elongation. Exaggerating your shapes of vowels or your face is an excellent way to find access to more tone as well as volume. And elongation with lengthening your vowels and emphasizing the urgency within the sound. Notice how your voice changes by saying the line "I love you." you can say that line like you are softly telling someone for the FIRST time...You might not be sure how they feel. Or, you can say that line as if someone you love is walking out the door never to be seen again. They both have drama..they both have urgency. But you can play with the qualities within both. I hope this has helped!! Thank you again for your question. I can't wait to hear you sing!
+Maëva Gosselin Well, if your friend can talk, she can sing! But some people have horrible fears of singing in front of people. So, if you'd like to help your friend, just have her make some crazy sounds with you. Like a baby cry, or slow motion talking, or bird squawking...the list goes on and on. If she can make those sounds ok, then have her talk or read in a silly voice. This is really good for the voice, and for that playful spirit as well!
@@MadeleineHarveyVoice that is not true. Some people are tone deaf. I can hear anything in the world and instantly play it on guitar. Always could. My friend always wanted to play. But hes tone deaf. I can play a A and he could spend the next week trying to find the note and would have no idea. They all sound the same to him. Not everyonr can be a musician. A guitar player. A singer etc. Just like not everyone can play football or be a mathematician. If everyone was thr same the world would suck. Its kind of fucked up to get peoples hopes of for revenue off youtube...
thank you i subed when Melieya my class mate done a solo everyone goes to her and im left with a talent of art......im not going to say music is better than art there both great!
I like the idea of trying to sing and make music but I don’t have a good voice at all and so I wondered if I needed to be born a good singer or if it’s something you learn
I used to be able to sing plug in baby by muse without struggle And then puberty hit and I can't sing at all.... It annoys me so much Can you still have your old vocal range back after puberty?
Believe me or not , in the late 1960's i have started a rock band i couldn't sing at all , but practice made me perfect The world got to know us as Led Zeppelin. It's all about the sweat and the effort you put it , you go all in. I've spent every penny because i was dedicated and knew i could sing. Believe in yourself and you'll achieve wonders. Yours always, Robert Plant.
Yliana Syed I have advice for you to be a singer. Try out for a band as a lead singer. Don’t stay with the first band very long if they aren’t that good. Judge for yourself if they are very good or not. I’ll answer any questions you want to ask me. I’m 62, and have been playing music since I was 4 years old.
if you can talk, you can sing, but probably not very well. Yes you need talent, and no the great singers never doubted they would be good enough, as they were superb singers right of the bat.No they never needed reassurance, or special nurturing. They were just brilliant right off the bat, as most great performers are.this is talent. If you dont have it, you will not ever become great.
I used to sing a lot and I wrote my own songs (even had a little local contract) but I feel like I lost my spark. I LOVE music and I love to sing but I can't shake a feeling that I've lost at talent or ability I had. That I sound terrible which makes me feel I should stop. Any advice?
This vid really touched a part of my soul. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I've loved singing as long as I can remember. I finally got the guts to start taking voice lessons and I'm starting today! I'm incredibly excited to start this actual journey and this video helped me so much.
Thanks for watching! I offer one-on-one voice lessons through Skype, video vocal evaluations, and a downloadable audio program call Total Voice Method. Feel free to visit my website for my info: www.madeleineharvey.com I can't wait to hear you sing! :)

Hi, my dream is to sing.. not even to famous - just to sing. The problem is - i have a vocal coach i meet her once a week for 4 years now and she is one of the best coaches in my country i pay 100$ for a 60 minutes lesson every week and im working over two hours everyday on exercises and still - i can't really sing, the improvment i did in those 4 years is so small.. do you think i can't sing?
"If you can talk, you can sing" It gets me everytime

You could probably learn how to sing from watching UA-cam videos.
I’m not sure about that.
So inspirational and calming all at once, this is brilliant. I could listen to you all day. Thank you.
Thank you so much!!
What a positive video. And calm voice to listen to. Very nice.
I wish you were the supportive voice in the back of my head lol

Short answer yes anyone can sing
Thank you for this. You are a blessing.
Thank you for clearing my doubts. I really love singing but I have horrible control and I can't see my potential cause I'm not singing my heart out, it's embarrassing for my neighbor. I tried accepting that I can't sing because I don't have the talent but I just can't accept it.😢
I recently finished puberty. Before I had a really good voice and now I feel like my voice really sucks.
so inspiring! u got one new sub nowww

I like the idea of trying to sing and make music but I don’t have a good voice at all and so I wondered if I needed to be born a good singer or if it’s something you learn
Whitney Houston probably didn't struggle like me. Wake me up if I become Mariah Carey cuz im cryin
thankyou so much! really motivated me! :)
Thanks you are great ❤️❤️
I’ve been able to sing my whole life and no one ever said I was bad ?

I used to be able to sing plug in baby by muse without struggle

Can you still have your old vocal range back after puberty?

You mean your voice cracks? If it does, the answer is yes.
I was born with a singing talent. I love to sing and will love to be a singer. do you have advice for getting started to be a public singer?
Believe me or not , in the late 1960's i have started a rock band
i couldn't sing at all , but practice made me perfect
The world got to know us as Led Zeppelin.
It's all about the sweat and the effort you put it , you go all in.
I've spent every penny because i was dedicated and knew i could sing.
Believe in yourself and you'll achieve wonders.
Yours always,
Robert Plant.

I have advice for you to be a singer. Try out for a band as a lead singer.
Don’t stay with the first band very long if they aren’t that good. Judge
for yourself if they are very good or not. I’ll answer any questions you
want to ask me. I’m 62, and have been playing music since I was 4
years old.
if you can talk, you can sing, but probably not very well. Yes you need talent, and no the great singers never doubted they would be good enough, as they were superb singers right of the bat.No they never needed reassurance, or special nurturing. They were just brilliant right off the bat, as most great performers are.this is talent. If you dont have it, you will not ever become great.
i give up i wasnt born with a good voice sure i can sing but not good
I used to sing a lot and I wrote my own songs (even had a little local contract) but I feel like I lost my spark.

I sing bad
Hi, my dream is to sing.. not even to famous - just to sing. The problem is - i have a vocal coach i meet her once a week for 4 years now and she is one of the best coaches in my country i pay 100$ for a 60 minutes lesson every week and im working over two hours everyday on exercises and still - i can't really sing, the improvment i did in those 4 years is so small.. do you think i can't sing?
She is just telling this because she wants to teach and make money. If you aren't born with the Singing magic, it is impossible to "learn". I
Oh yeah sure, if everybody can learn how to sing, give them lessons for free.
Stop talking a load of Rubbish.
