    I've been using the 6713QP for about 6 years (?) now on a recommendation from my drum shop pro. I purchased it because I normally play smaller clubs with smaller stages. This was a great solution. I have my floor tom on a rim mount, my ride and one crash with a few other Gibraltar custom pieces to make it all happen. I love it. It is a VERY solid stand.

    If you think about it. That quad mount could be used very well with a double bass set up with two kick drums...Kinda like a Danny Carry set up.

    Does Gibraltar sell JUST the tripod base / legs, that can accommodate the 1" down tubes? I've never seen JUST the base... I would LOVE the option to buy JUST that....... thanks guys!

    Love the videos! I have a rather rhetorical question, but I have to ask anyways...I have been looking to invest in a tom mount for my mounted tom so I can make a lil' more space on my bass drum; unfortunately, my Ludwig set's tom-toms are mounted using tubes. What would be a good solution?

    I am looking at the lighter rotating Gibraltar and the newer invention no tip heavy Pearl GYRO S-1030. I think its going to come down to how far out the arms will stretch since my MPC drum machine is a classic. I was hoping for some Cyber Monday sales but no where to be found. If you know of a better stand to look at please let me know.

    Is the top of the 6713QP available as a stand-alone item? I'd love to have it as an option for a GS-VMS in a 2-up, 2-down setup...two crashes with the high toms, no additional extension bars or stands needed.

    Not sure this will get read, but worth a shot. What about mounting floor toms on one of those stands? Is that an option?

    • @GibraltarHardware
      @GibraltarHardware 7 років тому

      sunnibird you can mount a floor tom to the 6713SP as long as you position the legs to counter balance the weight. To mount two floor toms to a stand, I would use the 9813DP. This is similar to the 6713DP, but has a much heavier base which will give you more stability.

    Do you have hardware to mount cymbal stands/arms into bass drum tom mount? Because my toms are on a stand between two bass drums and I have two tom mounts I'd like to use. Thanks!

    The Gibraltar 6713DP came with the two ball to put the toms or came seperatly? and if came separatly, what it the name of the balls? i want to buy it for amazon, but i dont if came with that or not

    • @GibraltarHardware
      @GibraltarHardware 10 років тому

      The 6713DP does not come with the ball L-arms. Each drum brand requires a different size L-arm, and we leave that up to you as to what size you need. The sizes we offer are 12.7mm (SC-LBL), 10.5mm (SC-LBM), and 9.5mm (SC-LBS)

    Would I be able to use the ball joint out of a Yamaha tom mount in these tom stands??? I just don’t really like the look and cost of Yamaha tom stands and they wouldn’t match my all-Gibraltar setup on my Yamaha kit.

    • @GibraltarHardware
      @GibraltarHardware 6 років тому

      JP I don’t believe the actual Yamaha ball arm will fit. Our ball arm has a 1.5” diameter, which is a little larger than Yamaha

    How do I know the size of the ball L arm I need to get? I have a ddrum hybrid kit. Also do I habve to strictly get the L ball arm?

    • @GibraltarHardware
      @GibraltarHardware 6 років тому +1

      I believe DDRUM uses 10.5mm. This is the same size arm TAMA uses. The other size is 12.7mm, which is the same size as DW and Gretsch.
      SC-LBM 10.5mm
      SC-LBL 12.7mm
      If you are going to use the 6713SP or 6713DP stands, you will have to use a ball L arm. These stands will not work with anything else. We also offer another tom stand (9713PM) that has clamps instead of ball in socket, where you can attach a single tom arm to it. I hope this helps.

    What if I want to mount my Yamaha toms to the 6713SP?

    • @GibraltarHardware
      @GibraltarHardware 10 років тому

      Yamaha is a little different, in that it cannot use an L-arm. We do not have any hex arms where the tom post is not bent into an L. If you have a Yamaha tom post with ball joint outside of the arm casing, as long as the ball has a 1-1/2” diameter, you can use that with the 6713SP. Other than that, you would need to use a suspension mount other than Yamaha’s version in order to work with this stand.
