Andy, have you tried "back leading" when feeder fishing on sections frequented by boaters and canoeists? I often use this method on the lower Wensum and Yare when there are hire boats about. Cast out, slightly tighten to the feeder and then clip an additional small ledger weight on to the line at the rod tip and then let the ledger run down the line. Tighten up to it and with the line resting on the bottom it is out of the way of oars, paddles and most props...… it is a brilliant method on sections well used by boats as the stirred up bottom and feeder bait being spread about a bit can bring on the fish very quickly which you would normally miss when hauling out, letting them by and re casting.
Nice video andy the chelmer was a real nice looking river those trout put up a good scrap stunning rudd too mate a truley lovely species cheers tight lines
Another great video Andy particularly the Chelmer. I always find non commercials more interesting because you never know what you might catch . Fish on mate.
also maybe you should try fishing the river ouse in norfolk i know a guy who caught a 36 pound pike out of there i went myself but didnt have any luck but my friend caught a huge perch
@@TheBudgetAngler it’s been around for a good 10yrs plus...I fish for trout but have had some decent sized Rudd (reckon biggest would have been well over 1lb)
The Chelmer brought back some good memories of fishing it as a teenager with my late Dad.We had some good results but generally it was hard. Nice Rainbow and good Rudd a pretty fish when large. Hope that you got my address ok. If not let me know and I will send again Stay safe and thanks
