- This introductory video explains the unique qualities and benefits of housing cooperatives, showcasing how they provide an inclusive, community-oriented way of living. Housing cooperatives are jointly-owned, democratically-controlled enterprises, open to a diverse range of people. Members either rent or purchase shares in the coop, gaining exclusive use of a unit while collectively owning and managing common spaces and operational costs. Coops are independently owned non-profits focused on affordability, community, and shared decision-making. Cooperative housing varies in size, structure, and ownership models globally but consistently fosters a strong sense of community.
I am wondering if this co-op apartment is tradable or being able to rent out to others who are not shareholders
Housing co-ops have different rules around sub-letting and handing units over to others and family members.
This is the answer to freeing ourselves from our parasitic landlords ✊🏽
Not for me, it isn’t… I need seclusion, privacy, and a large yard, that nobody else can use
to hell with this… We should be making home ownership more affordable instead of this BS
@@truthbetold4350 : What about the bloody, millions who will never be able to afford a home. Christ, people can't even, rent, properly, anymore. What the hell, do you expect that category of people to do. Bloody housing is a BASIC, HUMAN, RIGHT. Time for bloody, greedy, people and governments to STOP, seeking to PROFIT OFF OF IT!!!! That is the SOLE, reason for all the misery in the world today, regarding this matter.
You have the bloody, mentality that in order to get what YOU, want you will RENT, to others, and USE THEM, to secure YOUR DREAM!! THAT, is at the CORE, of the current, housing problems, as is. That IS, a bloody, PARASITIC, property owner, as mentioned in the comment above.
COOP Housing is the VERY THING, governments should be investing in more, right across the board.
Property Owners, Brother. Quit saying Landlord, please.
