Please, please, please do a bit of research to find out how extremely critical it is for those front brake pistons to be spotless in order for them to function safely. The paint "overspray" that is on them could very possibly cause them to not work properly or completely seize up. Please take this as constructive criticism. @CJ Media You'll need to replace the brake piston and seals due to the overspray. Don't sand the piston down due to the mm precision of the seal. You can always push the piston back then maskintape over them for the next time.

You need to use vinyl fine line tape to mask to calipers. Fine line tape let’s you mask around different shapes and angles. Once you apply the fine line where you want then use 3/4 inch tape to finish masking. Ensure you use denatured alcohol to clean the surface anything stronger will cause solvent pop or lifting of the paint. Most of those paints have a TDS and will tell the proper flash times between coats.
Dude, please don’t take this the wrong way but if I were you I’d be enrolling in some superbike riding school, there are plenty over here in uk so I assume the states should have plenty too! It would help you out massively, plus it would make a decent video, give you some much needed fast riding coaching and be a good day out for you and a few friends. Just a thought 👌

I'm an avid follower of the channel, but I got to say that you just ruined your calipers. The overspray will compromise the piston glide over the seals, not mentioning the seals are now ruined too from the paint. Will also contaminate the brake fluid that touches the paint on the pistons, resulting in compromised braking. Also painting the mounting surfaces where the bolts attach to the forks will throw off torque specs and the now added thickness of the mating surfaces has ever so slightly shifted the caliper position. Expect to fully rebuild and overhaul your very expensive calipers. Not one for stopping creativity, but brakes are one thing you do not want to be messing with tolerances. Rest of the bike looks great, but please do you due diligence with sensitive components. Especially with what is essentially an engine and a seat that can go 200+mph. Keep up the hard work CJ. Stay safe out there.

Nice!! 2 things.. 1: next time use masking tape that has a gel that gets activated when wet/paint.. this will give u crisp lines.. filling in the casting marks/dimples.. so that line will be super super sharp... Dont know if they sell "frogtape" or "kip ultra sharp" in your area.. 2: next time.. please take out the pistons of the calipers.. now u risk damaging the seals because uneven surface against the seals.. u dont want to risk them
if you paint these calipers the cheap way, do it with very light coats of color, this way you have to put on a lot more coats, but this way the paint wont start to run meaning it wont go under the tape so the edges look a lot better

Is the paint on the caliper heat resistance? Because calipers are real hot when on hard braking. You can try using paint remover to turn them back to oem. Love your vids😍😍

Great try on the calipers they look great for a distance, if you don’t push your boundaries you will never learn new things. Next time I am sure you will do a job you’re more happy with. The gloves would be perfect for my son when he is on the back of my r6 or my wife’s cbr650r and match the rest of his gear but we’re in Canada. You should come up here sometime and check out some of the amazing roads we have.

stock color on the caliper just have continuity on the shoe of the fork. it is good the way it is. nice gloves. It is nice to pair with my HJC Rpha 11 carbon bleer in red color :)
Another great video as usual but i’d throw some new pistons in those calipers for safety or something that can remove the paint that isn’t sanding. Also gloves would go to my girlfriend as we just picked her up her first bike last weekend.

A few have mentioned the brake pistons. You need to get the paint off of them or your pistons will stick or leak.
