Great video! Have had the 137 Fusion 5 since july. Love it, but changed fins from 48 to 42 in november and love it even more now😁

Hi Ben, at the moment I have a decision problem between fusion 5 and carved imperator 6 both 139 length. imperator for 660 and fusion 5 for 825.
I love Freeriding big air and oldshool, what would be your choice? 😅 have some advice for me? thanks and cheers from germany

The 42mm fins have less grip than the 48mm fins and are more playfull to ride. The 48mm fina go better upwind…

Ich fahre das Fusion 5 und ich liebe es! Bin gerade dabei, Board offs zu üben mit Board Spin, warum sieht es bei Dir so leicht aus?😅 Aber auch dafür ist das Board super, sehr griffig und handlich mit den eingebauten Channels.
Sag gerne Bescheid, wenn Du mal wieder in Norddeutschland bist, dann mache Ich paar Shots von Dir.

Hi Ben, thinking to get one of these but can't decide on the right size: 139 or 137? Is it noticable difference? I have 82 kg and riding usualy xr 12sqm and 9 sqm on stronger conditions. Thanks

Hey, there is a difference but I think both would work for you. I you prefer it slightly more playfull take the 137…
I prefer the 139 with 85kg

How does it compare to the choice 4 ?
I’m thinking about getting a small board for when riding super powered up for big air, would you recommend another choice or a fusion ?
I woule recommend the Fusion as you already have a choice and aswell as you need it for strong winds and bigairs. To me that’s what the Fusion 5 is made for…
@@BenBeholzVlogs have you tried with the new handle that flattens the rocker ? If so does it actually make a difference ?
@@vikingh3008 I have it on two of my Carved Imperator 7s. It doesn't do much for my LW board as it's low rocker already. But on the 137 it really makes an appreciable difference. It becomes an upwind rocket.

@@vikingh3008 So yes, it makes a difference. Just like having two different boards with different rockers. Upwind, efficiency and edging are improved with a lower rocker. You also get the downside of harder landings and not as good in heavy chop. The great thing is you can just switch it on/off and not go change boards. I love it. (and I originally thought it was a gimmick)
I'm stoked to try it on the Fusion 5 as this is supposed to have a little more rocker than my Imp 7. Where I kite the wind is very on/off so it's nice to have any extra efficiency you can get.
137 or 139 in lenght is better for the kite you do ?
I prefer 139 but it depends a little to you size and weight…
Ben I need some help choosing a size. I weigh 82Kg and ride C-kites in lighter winds. 11m in 14-17 kts and a 9m above 16kts. What size would you get? My dealer only has a 137 and a 141. I wanted the 139 but not available. Do you think the 141 would be too big? Your thoughts much appreciated.

dank dir 😊🙌 Am Lago Maggiore war ich noch nie kiten. Am Comersee kannst du vom Ufer aus starten in: Gera Lario, Colico, Dongo, Cremia, Dervio und Valmadrera (morgen Wind).

That's because for $50 I can get north fins but they are longer in length and the core fins are $100.

I have zwo of this…. In 141x42 and LW 154x46. Both with 48mm fins …. feels easier to me to go up wind …. and I am not a pro rider. I only will have fun and enjoy the day.

I absolutely agree to your board setup. The big one is a lightwind beast. What‘s your weight ?
@@BenBeholzVlogs wheigt is too much. I ride the smaller board on the German & Denmarks coasts. The LW is for my local home spot - lake „Steinhuder Meer“. Here you have almost low base wind of around 15 knots with often double strong gusts- 15 knots + until to 25-30 knots of gusts. It‘s easier to me to have a funny day with a smaler kite and bigger board. If you will kite on Steinhuder Meer, you have to learn handle extrem gusty wind in less space on the water (too much kiter for the small lake).
Welche Größe bei 82kg würdest du empfehlen und warum?
Ich würde dir 139 empfehlen. Ich wiege 86kg und fahre 139. Falls du lieber klein fährst geht auch 137.

War nur Mal so Interesse halber. Hab das Board als 137er. Hab mich jedoch geärgert das ich es nicht probegefahren bin. Hab damit nun 10 Sessions und mir kommt es zu klein vor. Ich geb dem Board aber noch eine paar Sessions denn die 10 waren nicht mit guten Bedingungen.

Einfach toll anzuschauen. Das Video hätte auch 2 Stunden lang sein können. War aber noch nie bei Offshore Wind draußen.

that's butter smooth water.... so lucky my local spots are never this smooth. what's the least amount of wind you kite in ?
Mine aren’t as well 😌 It was about 14 kts and I was on my 15m Gts. I was slightely underpowered…
