What happend with Hidden Law was terrible and I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often over there. You cant cover a worn out walking path with grass clippings and expect horses who are decelerating from 36mps to not misstep, that needs to be fixed. A freak accident is what took place here in the states with Dancing Brave at Santa Anita or with Dayjur at Belmont.
There is often astro turf or sand paths. Really we have no clue it could injuring many horses as they run past. Not lile they can actually say here fuck this shit surface
@@Dwayndibb thats the down side of racing on turf. It doesn't always grow back evenly. Here in the states we race primarily on Dirt but that presents a whole nother set of issues
totally agree - you only have to walk over those paths yourselves to feel the difference - and are they flat, regularly inspected before and between races? have closed my eyes watching some races where horses turn corners going over paths or during the National, its never comfortable viewing seeing some horses balk at the temp change of surface
The path killed hidden law, i hope they fix it for next year, maybe move the finish line down the straight so they are slower when they meet the path
Maybe they could build a bridge over the track for cars
yep, absolutely needs to be looked at fully across all courses where horses cross paths or it'll happen again. had to switch the telly off after hoiles said it, felt sick. the vid editor was quick to act.
I like the show and what they have to say, but that ticking and buzz noise is ridiculous.
There are to many people deciding on racing fixtures who have no knowledge of horses or racing. Price Waterhouse Cooper deceiding on Marquee fixtures is the latest.
Can you remember the initiative by BHA to offer a prize for the horse than won the most races? As if anyone with a good horse would want to over race a horse. That scheme was thought up by a person in BHA who had never sat on horse.
PWC? my god wtf do they know about it other than counting their hill of beans jack
August rodin was favoured to win the 2,000 guineas last year, it flopped. So did city of troy, this year. August rodin went on to win the Derby, maybe back City of troy to do the same
LIGHTNING DID STRIKE TWICE. City of Troy proved to be no "WOODEN HORSE".
Hidden Law suffered a broken leg
We're not stupid...we do know how you do it. Nothing to do with the weight.
Aiden obrien has one job that is to get the horse to the Gr1 in reasonable shape, and ah be jaysus he couldn't do it
Don't say that, you will have clueless Lewis whinging.
Aidans issue is that He has the need to hype up his horses. It's like He takes it upon himself to be his own PR team. For all of his greatness He hasn't learn to let the horse do the talking. I'm an American I don't live in the UK or Ireland but I follow European racing close enough to know I never see Gosden,Fabre,Stoute or Applebee on TV hyping up horses.
@@sionrouge1697he is a front man for the Coolmore Stud organisation. Their business model is the use of successful racehorses to create successful stallions. Hence the PR Jobbie. U ever heard of a European stallion called Gallieo? The most successful European of all time? He was owned by Coolmore 😊 but the last of his prodigy come out this year so they urgently need to find a replacement. They own justify, their great stallion hope. And guess who the sire of City of Troy is....
Having a not so great crop is possible, this year could be it. Competition is hot on his heels.
@@JoeDoylePhotographer stop it. What competition? He runs leopardstown and Irish Flat racing. It's not like here in the states where a Kentucky Derby winner can come from small owners. European racing is a plutocracy Bet the top 3 richest owners
Premier racing has turned out to be a complete disaster. What else would you expect from the BHA.
What do you expect without a centralised marketing plan?
City of Troy wins Ryan Moore no his stuff
I just hope he knows more than you? Because obviously you don't know very much.
@@nightowl7459 Bet you delete yr comment now, get some sleep numnut
Over -watering,do you as supposed journalists and pundits really think that the course management care about punters because if you do you’ve been living under a rock for the past fifteen years!!
City Of Troy didn't raise a gallop... all he has to do is just be willing to run and we know who's winning that race
Are you not concerned that all the 3 year olds with similar pedigrees have done the exact same thing?
Says a professional then....
@jdigne1879 Same thing? All of Aidan's Justify juveniles have done nothing but improve... most 2 year olds placed first time out and won or narrowly denied subsequently... the other 3 year old just won in Chester
No point in having the clock. You never enforce it and you have wafflers on each week.
Does dave get paid for every word he spouts....give someone else a chance
Yes 💯 He doesn't come up for air.
At least you are giving us your great racing wisdom for free, where would we be without it 🤔
Incredible how any one in the world of racing would want this clown Yates.
@@nightowl7459 dave as been newsboy for at least 15 years probably more but in all that time has never finished with a plus in the naps table...and he gets gigs as the pundit....i get it you are a fan of dave
@@paulrichards6894 A fan? That the first bit of information I've actually heard about "Dave" but you are obviously very well informed about him, my point is, we never see the likes of you putting in any real input, but you do seem very quick to criticize anyone else who does.
It is nothing to do with the clock, and you are right they do talk nonsense. It iz zo zimple u wud cry to no d truth
Lol 😆 Good old Dave Yates back😅😅😅😅What a waste of space he is.
The racing channels will have to find their funding from a more honest, clean source than big bookmakers who are funded by their dodgy, insidious online 'casinos' and FOBT's. Time to earn an honest crust - 'going forward' - to quote your stupid cliche.
That presenter was totally unaware he's struggling talking about jockeys who have taken their own life. Maybe think next time or show some self awareness.
