I heard that ASO has decided to go vintage this year and bringing back 7-11 team. Bobke has grown the beard for the cold stages in the mountains. Bob, please no bike throws and no posting while on the Murray.
Team Sky's defence, which requires 1500 pages, is probably very complicated and carries a myriad legal ramifications. The UCI is having to tread very carefully, hence the delay.
Another public relations non-sense from ASO. It's a way of looking morally correct, while at the same time generating controversy, which of course increases viewership. That way, when Froome ends up riding the TDF, ASO can claim they did their best to clean the sport. I'm calling it BS.
I was looking for news at what happened at yesterday's tour - as a cord cutter, I haven't been keeping up. Now I see it doesn't start until next week. And this was the first thing that came up when I did a search.
Chris Froome is a superb athlete.......all you doubters 'eat humble pie' .....get over it !! If he had have been on a French team, none of this would have happened.
It's all about the $$$. Question ... Would you be in favor of allowing a certain amount of EPO use for all team members riding the international circuit? Big AL
Bob, always enjoy your comments but as a Sky/Froome fan I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the UCI dismissal of Froome's Salbutamol case.
Wish you safe travels and looking forward to hearing your commentary during the tour. Appreciate the update and shame on the UCI for dragging its feet on this.
Bob could you explain why Contador wasn't banned from Tour during his alleged and ultimately ban. I believe it was in 2010 but not sure please correct me if I'm wrong. A fan of yours.
Don't think they could have reasonably made the case that Contador's participation would damage their reputation, quite the opposite really, their reputation would have been damaged by banning him
What a load of crap, jumping the gun. I have given up on what Christopher Froome has to do for people to recognise him as a true champion. Every time he achieve something impressive he’s accused of doping. If it’s another rider it’s a totally different story. Quintana or Bardet won’t win the tour. It’s either Froome, or Doumoulin
What is frustrating about this case is that we don't know what is being considered. We should wait for the facts. The ASO is more concerned with appearances, see the Sagan case last year. They are betting the baby on Froome having knowingly cheated. Given the hundred, or so tests Froome has passed since the last Tour except this one test, I would think he is not a cheater. The most embarrassing story so far is how ASO and some pros have acted before the facts are known! Another strange idea is that Froomes wins since the Vuelta could be in jeopardy. If he was to be banned for life I could see it, but taking away legit wins is nuts. So I see no good reason to keep him from racing pending the result.
Snowman speaks So, I don't want to hear proven. His doping test says it all. I don't care who what when where or how that test produced this result. If it was a legitimate test, then he is out in my opinion.
Hey Bob! Wait up man, grabbing my sack and bike to go with you! Agghh I wish this more than ever. Now back to reality,; Thank you so much for up date and safe flight, glad your going to be our hands and feet at TDF, God bless you! Bon Voyage!
Isn't the Tour more exciting without him? Last few years is like, "Eh, Chris is going to win it". I never understand how one person can be more powerful than everyone else in the peloton either. My ignorance of sports, I'm sure.
I am shocked! After the blind eye in Italy, I had no hope for accountability. Now, I see a glimmer? I really like Froome's humble demeanour as he's crushing the field, but if he's doping, he needs to stop. Or be stopped.
This is very suspicious, cleared the week before TDF, and after TDF said he can't race.. Took way way too long, and big questions now that magically cleared. Cheers Bobke- safe travels.
Wow. It’s a good call, his case has gone on too long. There will still be plenty of other dangers & distractions, ie: the motorbikes, road conditions, brick roads & of course the fans, for everyone to watchout for & discuss.
He was a mediocre cyclist with health problems before joining SKY I would like to know how the miracle happened "miraculous water of Lourdes or doping"
Terrible decision. Now to everyone that doesn't watch cycling they will just see "top rider not able to ride due to drug test". It's just bringing back the drug headline into cycling.
Well the facts are now finally out, glad for cycling that Froome has been cleared based on the facts. Shame the whole affair had been leaked in the first place, incorrectly, fuelling all the haters and doubters out there and damaging the sport unnecessarily.
Im gonna laugh if Team Sky somehow pulls it out anyways lol at first i agreed with him having should have sat races out but the way they've handled or failed to handle his salbutamol case in even a decent time frame at this point after all this time just feels like them catering to a certain group not actually trying to move the case forward even if the majority thinks he cheated should have been handled in a much better fashion after he's raced multiple grand tours feels more like a way to appease ppl than a real solution
People are not found guilty on the grounds that "most people think he's guilty" The facts are out now. Shame all the incorrect rumours had been leaked in the first place.
Wesley Manning agreed man i just cant stand how obviously anti Froome and sky Bob has gotten these days its been more about him saying can't wait for Froome to have a positive sample instead of the neutral stance he should have actually kept and even feigned to do so on occasions about it he wanted Froome out so bad smh
It should have never went this long without a decision in fact is should have been made before the Giro! Like many other people have commented guilty or not it brings up that taboo word drugs in cycling and right at the start of the TDF!
Bobke, Couldn't help but think this is merely hype from the organizers to generate viewership and more buzz around the Tour. Just seven days before the race, why now?
Sanity has prevailed, we can all watch the TDF without the angst. Plus Froome would be crucified by the spectators on the climbs, and it could get ugly.
Because Froome uses drugs, and too much of it..is that too difficult? It's completely absurd salbutamol is allowed. But he used even twice that dose. Sky must have payed lots of money.
Are you saying anyone with asthma should not be allowed to compete in sports ? He was never twice the limit - why believe the lies when you could know the facts ?
It WAS twice(18th stage Vuelta). Later they downplayed it because of measurement faults. UCI didn't report it ...for months! and did nothing. Given the fact that every other excess salbutamol use has led to an immediate ban, 9 months to two years: It's Armstrong-like cover-up all over again. Yes people with asthma are allowed to compete; just not use drugs. With this rule riders without asthma cannot win anymore without it. 17% of riders in the 2008 olympics had asthma, what, These asthma sufferers were winning a third of all medals. What a joke!! Look, Froome seems like an allright guy to me but the entire cover-up is a joke, everyone knows Sky payed. Whatever. I'm not going to watch the tour de france anyway
So much drama. Prudent, and Prudhomme. Is Prudhomme putting a dent in prudence? Or is the collective jury of jurisprudence, resonating now? Just curious.
ASO and Team sky have too much power....he had the double the allowed values of salbutamol and he gets no sentence? Cycling is not worth watching as a pro sport - just a bunch of Junkies on bikes. Lance was never taken in doping control.
I don't hate Froome at all, in fact, he seems like an allright guy to me. But the entire story is a cover-up, it's a joke, everyone knows Sky payed. It was twice the allowed dosage(2000ng/ml, 18th stage Vuelta). Later they downplayed it because of "measurement faults". UCI didn't report it ...for months!!!! and then did nothing. Given the fact that every other excess salbutamol use has led to an immediate ban, 9 months to two years: It's an Armstrong-like cover-up all over again. The 1000ng/ml rule is absurd. in the end only asthmatics can win . 17% of riders in the 2008 olympics had asthma, and these asthma sufferers were winning a third of all medals. What a joke!! cheers
If your gonna dope you better pay up the ladder so you are assured of a negative result. The governing bodies are a joke. Remember this positive result was leaked. You have no business knowing about it!
I heard that ASO has decided to go vintage this year and bringing back 7-11 team. Bobke has grown the beard for the cold stages in the mountains. Bob, please no bike throws and no posting while on the Murray.
I think it’s a good call. The tour does not need the distraction. Shame on the UCI for not settling this case in a timely manner
A
so he should be punished because a governing body cannot do its job? we should not even know about this period....
I am pretty sure that it also team skys fault...
Team Sky's defence, which requires 1500 pages, is probably very complicated and carries a myriad legal ramifications. The UCI is having to tread very carefully, hence the delay.
All settled - at last
Thanks for the update and commentary on this, Bob. Crazy this has dragged on for so long. Just follow the rules, cycling.
The French will now do anything to get a home win.
I don't know why Bobke TV suddenly began appearing in my feed but it really is complete garbage
I hope everyone who was happy about this is eating their words. The man is innocent and can now try to defend his title. Come on Froome!!!
Another public relations non-sense from ASO. It's a way of looking morally correct, while at the same time generating controversy, which of course increases viewership. That way, when Froome ends up riding the TDF, ASO can claim they did their best to clean the sport. I'm calling it BS.
Did I call it or what? Froome has been cleared.
Absolutely not true
Sorry he has been cleared and rightly so
I was looking for news at what happened at yesterday's tour - as a cord cutter, I haven't been keeping up. Now I see it doesn't start until next week. And this was the first thing that came up when I did a search.
Bon Voyage Bob. I hope we can an inside look behind the scenes from your updates. As in years past.
Bon voyage. Thanks for the update.
Chris Froome is a superb athlete.......all you doubters 'eat humble pie' .....get over it !! If he had have been on a French team, none of this would have happened.
As Gomer Plye would say "surprise surprise surprise "
It's all about the $$$. Question ... Would you be in favor of allowing a certain amount of EPO use for all team members riding the international circuit? Big AL
The UCI just closed the case on him, he is clear and free to race !
It’s the proper thing to do. It’s best for Froome- his safety is in question.
The sport is larger than any one team/rider.
Banned? What news are you watching?
Just checked online and the case has been dropped. He's clear to go
ua-cam.com/video/ViTj3VbTYKI/v-deo.html
Bob could you explain why Contador wasn't banned from Tour during his alleged and ultimately ban. I believe it was in 2010 but not sure please correct me if I'm wrong. A fan of yours.
Don't think they could have reasonably made the case that Contador's participation would damage their reputation, quite the opposite really, their reputation would have been damaged by banning him
revolucionador because Contador is likeable while froomey is a douchebag.
not only that though, froome is not trusted by anyone within cycling at the moment. A very different situation from Contador at the time
Contadope was one of the biggest dopers of all time you morons. LMFAO
Not so any longer Bob. They dropped the case and Froome is clear to ride the tour.
Nothing like waiting until the last moment. Disgusting all the way around.
Whether it stands or not we shall see , but the ASO had to do this, this is basic cover your ass techniques 101.
UCI just dropped the case against Froome...... Nairo, destroys stage route maps ;)
If he was to be banned for life I could see it, but taking away legit wins is nuts. So I see no good reason to keep him from racing pending the result.
And now cleared!
Nairo won’t know which way to go if he can’t follow Froomey😉
snafujag100 he'll follow Gerant.
#genius
He'll go all the way, and would be the favorite to win. I can't wait to watch it go down.
snafujag100
As long as Nairo can't win a time trial.
Not much hope in winning the tour!
snafujag100 you're right. He's a gawdamm wheel sucker
You’d want to be taking this video down Pal he’s been cleared of all wrong doing and rightly so !!! He’s the greatest cyclist of all time !
UCI closed proceedings today. UCI worked closely with WADA. He gets to race.
Sad this issue is still unresolved!
Ya can't wait. Froome is just one rider. Without him, a worthy rider will still stand on the top podium.
not proven guilty...wake up
Snowman speaks So, I don't want to hear proven. His doping test says it all. I don't care who what when where or how that test produced this result. If it was a legitimate test, then he is out in my opinion.

Riders should have the right to a speedy trial...
I am shocked!
After the blind eye in Italy, I had no hope for accountability.
Now, I see a glimmer?
I really like Froome's humble demeanour as he's crushing the field, but if he's doping, he needs to stop. Or be stopped.
not proven should race
You the man Bob
What a difference a day makes.
This is very suspicious, cleared the week before TDF, and after TDF said he can't race.. Took way way too long, and big questions now that magically cleared. Cheers Bobke- safe travels.
Bravo to Prudome and ASO for having the balls to take a stance. BTW.... Nice yoshimura cap Bobke!
Wow.
It’s a good call, his case has gone on too long.
There will still be plenty of other dangers & distractions, ie: the motorbikes, road conditions, brick roads & of course the fans, for everyone to watchout for & discuss.
Well,it looks like UCI have actually cleared CF of any wrong doing...
It is probably for the best, The fans would have a field day with him.
I’ll watch now!!
please dont
Snowman speaks how come?
Taints this year's TDF, profoundly; as many have already said, Froome's status for 2018 should have been resolved a long, long time ago.
Who is Yoshimura anyway?
Japanese company that makes motorcycle performance and roadracing components, complete bikes, and sponsors racing teams..
He was a mediocre cyclist with health problems before joining SKY I would like to know how the miracle happened "miraculous water of Lourdes or doping"
I glad to see that people can still do the right thing. Restores the credibility of the sport.
Terrible decision. Now to everyone that doesn't watch cycling they will just see "top rider not able to ride due to drug test". It's just bringing back the drug headline into cycling.
What? This decision is bringing back that headline? I thought Froome did it by producing an adverse finding.
Hardest working man in show biz. Travel safe!!
ASO are just mad the FRENCH can't win their own race. BTW, FROOME CLEARED TODAY.
Haha the news are coming too fast, having a hard time keep up Bobke?
Well the facts are now finally out, glad for cycling that Froome has been cleared based on the facts. Shame the whole affair had been leaked in the first place, incorrectly, fuelling all the haters and doubters out there and damaging the sport unnecessarily.
They did the right thing!

You made this video about 11 hours too early
Bobke, Couldn't help but think this is merely hype from the organizers to generate viewership and more buzz around the Tour. Just seven days before the race, why now?
How about the idea of allowing any drug to be used but they all have to be disclosed by the rider.
WHAT????????
as of 3 hrs ago UCI and WADA cleared Froome What disfunction!!!!!
to hell with the mob. he's cleared to ride !
Did you remember to pack your "Beard-Be-Gone"?
Sanity has prevailed, we can all watch the TDF without the angst. Plus Froome would be crucified by the spectators on the climbs, and it could get ugly.
They should ban the whole freaking team.
Why ? because they are too good ?
Because Froome uses drugs, and too much of it..is that too difficult? It's completely absurd salbutamol is allowed. But he used even twice that dose. Sky must have payed lots of money.

Whatever. I'm not going to watch the tour de france anyway
losability your statements are not factually accurate. For one, a majority of the Adverse Findings are resolved with no actions taken.
Ah, Froome is not banned. Take down this old video!!
ASO might have been watching you, Bobke.
BE CAREFUL, AN IMBALANCED DRUG-USER IS EN ROUTE!
Doesn't that whole team have TUEs?
Good in one way but very poor in the fact this wasn't sorted out long ago.
All that planning and training by SKY and the riders. Shame on UCI....
Bernard Hinault got his wish.
Froome should be allowed to race, i'm sure if he was French he would be racing!!!!!!!
If that so, i wont watch TDF anymore, im gonna ban tdf on my tv..period.
Amazing story!
Am i seeing things Bob? Or is that a Froome clone?
aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnd. you're wrong.
So much drama. Prudent, and Prudhomme. Is Prudhomme putting a dent in prudence? Or is the collective jury of jurisprudence, resonating now? Just curious.
Thankfully he’s not banned anymore! :D

still let valverde in though
Nice hat Bobke!
many thanks :-)

Froomy, froom dog your kidding me..........like watching paint dry
UCI= Useless Cycling Infrastructure! Any questions
I’ll take his place for £100k
Hahahaha you joke
He will. He won't ride. This garbage Sky team he should ride he's innocent
Of course. Dopers should be benched.
Did nothing wrong. Facts win over rumours ;)
That's what we said about lance.
It's completely absurd salbutamol is allowed. But he used even twice that dose. Sky must have payed lots of money.
He was not twice the limit - that was a lie. Fact.
I don't hate Froome at all, in fact, he seems like an allright guy to me. But the entire story is a cover-up, it's a joke, everyone knows Sky payed.

cheers
Rut roh reorgde.
Just goes to show the best can also be a cheat but really don't know why he needed them because he already had noss on his bike for the hills lol
Update your page and delete this video it is untrue his case was dropped by UCI. #uninformed
Fake news guys.....
If he's allowed to ride, I hope they drug test him after every single race.
harrylook, They always have tested him after every stage you moron!
If your gonna dope you better pay up the ladder so you are assured of a negative result. The governing bodies are a joke. Remember this positive result was leaked. You have no business knowing about it!
Harrylook Climb back under the rock..
It's completely absurd salbutamol is allowed. But he used even twice that dose. Sky must have payed lots of money.
Harrylook Another idiot who’s jumped on the hate Froome bandwagon.
Nice cap!
Daaaaaaaaymn!
