I know this class series is a bit older now, but i wanted to drop a massive thank you just the same. Im stepping up my network game at work which also gappens to be a new company for me too. Ive been able to follow along and also realized how much i already knew, but was able to get fully comfy. On my way to becoming an SME in no time!! Thank you my good sir x a thousand!
I am completely new to wireshark, i am beginning in a trainee position and only have basic understanding from speedclasses on network.(and natural knowledge from growing up with old PC and home networks i needed to learn to repair on my own many times) This is helping me alot even though i dont understand all of the information yet. Anything that is confusing leads me on a google adventure and i learn even more. Thanks for the videos.
I just found you on UA-cam and I have to tell you that in this one video you have made me a subscriber! I love the level of detail with which you explain things, you provide the "why", and started the whole thing off by showing us how to make this layout "ours"! Many thanks, and I'm definitely sticking with you and looking forward to all else I can learn from you. Thank you again!!
I installed WireShark on my droid & PC a few years ago, poked around in it a bit on a bunch of occasions but always found it to be - as Yoú perfectly put it "a bit daunting"... Amazing tutorial! I am new to cybersecurity and this tutorial is monumentally informative!!! I am glad to have these tutorials at my disposal and for free no-less. Thank you.
Sir, The first important thing is the terminology used in the Wireshark and it will be a great help if you define any terminology you use. After all, this is the beginning of class.
That’s really nice of you Chris. Thanks a lot for your kindness to share knowledge with us. This is gonna be very helpful video series for sure. Thanks again
thanks for this wonderful content Chris.. you are a master of wireshark and on how to teach it I think I've learned more from this short video than most tutorials I've watched following along with these is a breeze.. this is indeed a true masterclass
Broo i start to learn i saw you with bomball and im a fan you teach so perfect for my adhd. When i was young i coulndt understand the freaking networking etc. But now i restart my learning and i found networkchuck,David Bombal and you and i am so greatfull to your work thanks mate.
Great job. I learned a lot, you come across as patient and kind sensei. My only critique is that the audio is slightly out of sink. A slight blemish on an otherwise perfect tutorial
Great lesson! I just downloaded Wireshark a few minutes before this video and felt comfortable following on. I look forward to seeing what the rest of the class has in store.
Hey Chris, really great information here. I've got Kali running on my 2nd monitor & am following along as you do things while taking notes... Took me about 30 min to get through this video but I'm already feeling more confident with Wireshark already. Consider me subbed, and I'm going to be watching the rest of this series shortly. Thank you for these lessons!
Thanks so much for your instructive information. I noticed on this video that the sound is not in sync with the video. I had this problem with my video recording and found handbrake software a great tool to correct that by adjusting the frame rate to a constant 30 frames per second. When handbrake configured the video to constant frame rate, the voice and video were synced.
I'm so glad, I found your channel through David Bombal's video. I really appreciate your efforts in creating this content. Your content and delivery is amazing. Looking forward to learn a lot from your videos. Thank you so much!
Just started playing with WS, found u channel via a search.. good presentation, will watch more. Been having issues with network disconnects & reconnect (Laptop Win10 Wifi)... want to figure out where the problem/cause is. Hello from Venezuela Mr. Chris and thank you so much for your work and your will to teach. From my point of view teaching the protocols that rules the network communications, using Wireshark as the tool to do it, is an amazing idea, once you get the hold of wireshark, it becomes the proper tool for explaining the protocols. Please, in the future, can you consider doing a video or a series of videos about the subject of IpSec. Its a most useful and commercially usable tool. Cheers! Ygal Mizrahi.
Thanks for watching and for the comment Ygal. I'll definitely consider a series on IPsec. I think I have a few others I need to knock out as well. Thanks!

Very helpful video. Wireshark is such a powerful tool, but the UI is not very intuitive. Especially the tip with creating filters by right-click is very handy. I was always googling how to filter this or that in Wireshark and it was frustrating to find the correct answer...

Hi Chris I just subscribed to your channel and I am excited to learn as much as I can from your videos. Thanks for posting your content I find it interesting and entertaining. I have a question that I would like to ask. Do you answer questions about networks and how to use Wireshark to safeguard them? If so may I ask you some questions? Thanks Chris!
