I guess I'm just getting to old, NBC here CBS there, Fox over there, this show on this app, that show on that app, save 2 dollars here but you loose this show or that app???.......I think it was easier back in the day when I was the one who had to get up and change the channel or adjust the rabbit ears...yea I was the youngest.
We get it. Hey I (John) had to do the same thing and I was the oldest child. 🙂 That said, it really isn't THAT difficult. Much of it comes down to what you want to watch. If what you watch is only on a few networks, it's usually fairly straightforward. 🙂And, unfortunately or not, things are going to continue to go this way for the time being with streaming, in our opinion.
Thank you so much. You make the world of streaming for those of us who are older and electronically challenged so much easier. You have saved me hours and high anxiety trying to figure all this out. Shout out to my son who showed me UA-cam and how to comment. Have a nice day.
Paramount for the win. Peacock just doesn't have enough content, I only use it to catch up on the Chicago shows. ($20 Year Deal). Paramount has great content. Hulu was a bit lacking and I only watched Handmaid.
Agreed, Hulu is lacking...in our opinion. They have a couple decent shows, but beyond that they don't really have the depth that someone like Paramount+ has.
I have cinema HD but it's not very good anymore, I'm thinking about buying a streaming service. I know Netflix doesn't have much, I don't watch sports just movies and tv shows but have no idea which streaming service is better?
For those sports minded Ive noticed there are several IU mens and womens BBall games on Peacock. So that also includes the teams they play which are also in the Big Ten.
Hard to pick, like Peacock for airing NBC shows the next day they also has Peacock originals like Friend of the Family and Poker Face that I got hooked on, but Paramount also has good shows like 1883 and others movies
Yea, it really came down to those two on the content side. We think Paramount+ is better, for us at least, but Peacock does have a respectable amount too.
No, they're not the same as what you'd see on normal TV. While Paramount+ is among the worst for ad breaks on streaming services, they're roughly half, at best, of what you'd see on traditional cable/TV.
Thanks so much for your opinions. I’m crawling out from under my rock, watching UA-cam and me TV for too long. I’m ready to splurge. You mentioned Hulu’s associated with Disney and that was a dealbreaker. I’m going with y’all’s pick - Paramount. Thanks again.
I compared all the streaming services and decided on Peacock. 20 bucks for the year was the reason i chose it. Not really a movie buff or watch much tv in general so i think peacock will be more than enough for me. The snl channel is pretty cool
My choice goes to Paramount + with both hulu & peacock both last. I just unsubscribed from peacock even after snagging the blackfriday deal. Even one dollar a month was not good enough to make me stay with them. The content for me was really lacking. My wife enjoyed mostly law & order but that started to fade after only a few months. Hulu gave me only issues with streaming which customer service kept insisting it was on my end. So after all that I got in on the Walmart + deal and have been getting Parmount included. I only wished that included showtime but it does not. So I to give the thumbs up to Parmount +. Thanks for the great video
We don't mind the content on Peacock, but it does lag behind Paramount+, in our opinion. That's a shame with Hulu, but not surprising as we've had issues with them, and know many others do as well.
@@FrugalRules Paramount is so used to licensing content I don’t think they thought about it at the time. They have thought about it since, though. I think next year Yellowstone streaming will revert to them, and they will begin to include full libraries for classic television series’.
I love Trek, and they seem to have woke to rotating the shows so there is always something fresh to watch like how Picard started the week after Criminal Minds ended. Also Seal Team and Challenge All stars are great too.
I have Hulu and I'm running a 7-Day trial on the Paramount+. Overall, I still prefer Hulu as well. Especially bc they have Sons of Anarchy & The Mayans.. we binge watch it every once in a while. Lol!
I find myself watching Paramount Plus and Apple TV the most. Apple TV has very well done original content Eg Ted Lasso, Foundation, Silo and Paramount has Star Trek.
Agreed on Apple TV. They don't have a ton, but much of it is very well done. If you've not watched Shrinking, it's also very well done. Harrison Ford is in it, and doing some comedy - it's gold!
Paramount+ but Peacock is a close second. Paramount is a little better with the on demand content but I like Peacocks coverage of golf which is a biggie for me.
I am on a trail of Fubo Tv and I am in Indianapolis market but my local channels are LA. Is this because of my VPN. Because on my computer it is my local channels and there is no VPN on it
There is a specific investor, who’s name escapes me at the moment, who is trying to pressure Disney into selling ESPN. But, Bob Iger is firmly opposed to the notion of selling ESPN.
Yea, that's Dan Loeb. He has been the one trying to push for them selling ESPN. Last we read, some time last week, he has apparently backed off on that push to sell.
@@nickperkins8477 We'd agree with you. While we'd love to see ESPN as a standalone, we have zero confidence the parent company wouldn't supremely mess it up some how.
@@FrugalRules I believe Mr. Iger came to Disney from ESPN. So, in addition to monetary considerations, Iger probably has something of a personal motivation to keep ESPN in-house.
ok, my head is gonna explode! i thought Paramount+ was just a channel that i watched Yellowstone on. didnt know it too is a streaming service. i do need CBS live for SWAT, firecountry and bluebloods. where can i consult the spirits with my cyrstal ball. xfinity is way over priced, but i could find everything with a voice remote. any chance i can find that anywhere. im aware the Roku does basics, on their channels/aoos? i gotta go lay down.
Prepare for it to explode some more... 🙂 it seems as you're confusing the Paramount network with Paramount+. The former is a channel that Yellowstone is on. The latter is a streaming service that houses much of the CBS and Paramount-related content.
That's a fair point. We've enjoyed Only Murders in the Building, and know they have a couple other popular ones. We would like to see them amp up some of their other content though.
Peacock has to be the bottom tier because of the glitches in their app that they won't fix. Doesn't matter how good your content is if your user experience is trash.
Depends on if got kids and want Nickelodeon current shows along with nickelodeon nostalgic and nickelodeon content with the words, Paramount+ original or if want excess to showtime content then paramount+. If want fox abc and CW content past and present day content with few original titles HULU for you. MAX is for if big on DC content and Warner bros films. Netflix mostly original content and nostalgic content prime same as Netflix no difference britbox for those big on masterpiece theater fans. Disney plus is if into nostalgia and star wars Disney films and Star Wars and national geographic television unless like Discovery Channel then paramount plus.
They kind of all suck. I stick to HBO, Apple, and Crunchyroll for content. HBO and Apple have far and away the best quality content without being inundated with crap. Apple has great Apple shows and HBO gets movies like Dune and The Batman…plus some great quality westerns and older Hitchcock shows. Netflix now releases nothing but crap and the same with the others you mentioned. I demand better with my wallet.

HBO Max, with Disney+ a strong second.
