Going 1st person only would be a terrible idea from Ubisoft. Character customisation and being able to see that customisation when I play the game is one of the selling points for me. I like the idea of being able to switch to 1st person when sniping or going for that precise head shot but the majority of the game I spend in 3rd person. The game will most likely end up getting lost on the endless list of other fps games out there just now and it’s getting boring. GR is one of the only ‘realistic’ 3rd person tactical shooters out there in amongst a plethora of mystical magical hocus pocus nonsense of games. Please save our game Ubisoft and listen to your dedicated fans!
@@BulletCatcherGaming not only the cosmetic side is important ; but the tactical aspect of reading the surroundings & using situational awareness is a huge part of " MY " gameplay experience !!
The agility and the situational awareness of the environment of a 3rd Person Perspective is way much better than Fps. Kinda feel stupidly awkward if You do a Stealth Base insert on FPS.
I’m 54 years old played thousands of games all my life and found wildlands late it practically changed my life 300 hours in and 200 in breakpoint I got really into the franchise and really am looking forward to the next game but now Ubisoft has shot itself in the foot with first person Typical I loved wolfenstein all of them and the metro games now wildlands is by far my favourite of all time. Ubisoft please listen to the players I’m one of many PLEASE I need THIRD PERSON 😢 I loved the weapons wheel the alarms the banter the bases loved unidad being relentless let’s be honest beautiful game to me it’s a masterpiece 😊
Great video. I completely agree, it needs to at least have the option for 3rd person. Like so many others, if it doesn't have 3rd person, I am not interested.
Guess who's back, back again TELL SOME GR FRIENDS ❤ The next GR needs both 1st AND 3rd based on the leaks and the news that it wil be 1st person, but 3rd should be the primary and first being a secondary switch for some CQC action. Ik me personally, if I'm going into a tight spot, the ability to switch on the fly would be glorious, as I prefer 1st person for tight spots sometimes. This comment was made during the first minute of the video, I am watching and listening now to the rest while I work , glad to see a new vid from you!
Ubisoft claimed that the reason they chose first-person perspective for their Avatar game was because they believed it was more immersive. 😬 playing as a Navi, climbing through the trees, and stealthing bases would have been so much better in 3rd person.
Cosmetics are the main appeal to ghost recon, and if you can't see your character, then there is no point in buying gear for them. They are going to need to do a lot of 3rd person animations like rainbow 6 vegas did for 1st person to work.
3rd person makes for a better squad based game imo and if the game is only in 1st I want to see what they plan on doing with AI teammates being that the franchise has basically abandoned great squad based controls.
The only really important question should be "is it a great game that successfully redefines the franchise?" I'd argue that the most important reason for 3rd person view is to serve a squad-based game where you need to understand where everyone is without constantly spinning around. I'll hope for its inclusion but I'm more concerned about it not living up to the size and spirit of Bolivia. Finally, a Ubisoft game that didn't feel like a theme park of implausibly tiny biomes.
This is also my worry. With it being an FPS, is this there way of outright removed squad commands and instead just allowing us to have squad mates that do there own thing. 😢 I pray this is not true.
Same here. 3rd person is one of the main reasons I even play Ghost Recon. If it's first person only, I won't be buying it. There are plenty of first person shooters I could be playing if I liked that.
What if this is just a tactic for ubisoft to say "we listened to fan feedback" but really they had both options developed already but chose to keep that info back. It makes no sense for GR to become just another FPS game. Third person and squad mates is what makes GR, well GR.
@@BulletCatcherGaming that’s what I’m talking bout !!! & I’m all here for it !! I don’t wanna schedule anything for ya & the rest of the GR legion, but I think it’s time for a deep dive tactable with ASQD; Gmoney & even GIT & others !! Just like you did in the past !! Vent our thoughts once & for all !! Keep it up 👍🏾 I’m here Andy !!
I love 1st person shooters. However, I like 3rd as well. Ghost recon should be 3rd person if theres no choice. I remember when Wildlands was released. I got the free version and loved it. Bought the full game. Great breakdown and assessment of why it should be 3rd person.
Thank you appreciate the comment. I love fps games too but after wildlands i was hooked on third and it became my perspective of choice. If the game had both the appeal would be so much broader.
If UBI reverting GR to a Linear Gameplay it would work just Shoot em up like Rainbow 6 or just another CODuty ... I'm a Big Tom Clancy Fan I read all His Novels and being a Gamer as well I like all the Game under the "Brand". Particular Love the Splinter Cell Series, when Future Soldiers came out it wow'd Me. Then Wildlands a bit Skeptical at "open world stuff" but it works! Now BreakPoint with a Splinter Cell type added into the Game, BreakPoint became the way it should be. No 3rd Person option? Ill stick with BreakPoint and Wildlands.
Awesome video brother! I think you couldn’t have made a better video regarding 1st & 3rd person discussion on a new Ghost Recon title. Your perspective remained reasonable and agreeably neutral. I couldn’t have agreed with you any more throughout everything you talked about. Good stuff man, happy to see you post this today!
@@BulletCatcherGaming lol…oh I know. By “neutral” I just meant you understand and appreciate multiple perspectives and opinions that you may or may not always personally agree with.
Im in the ‘no TPS = not buying’ camp. There r too many FPS games out there. What set latest GR games apart from other shooters were the graphics and the detail of the world. Wether its FPS + TPS thats fine but they will lose so many players if they cut TPS out of the game.
I only started GRB because it has 3rd person. Ive been really looking forward to the new Project Over but if its only 1st person i definitely will not play or buy it. Ubisoft sucks for this.
I have a feeling that the reason why it wasn't announced at Ubisoft Forward is because they saw the feedback and are now scrambling to change it to 3rd person. I don't think they have it in them to do something good for everyone and have both options.
I think the obvious option is to support both. Gamers love options. After playing some of the Far Cry series, I have to say I did enjoy the FPS action. However, I'd miss TPS in Ghost Recon so I can see my avatar in action with my customizations on. Otherwise, all those customizations are worthless. Only other people will see them and you'd only see them in the menu.
I got into these last two games just in the last couple years and was so excited for the next one but now not so much because of the switch to FPS only.
Having no third person would be catastrophic for me and even worse added on top if it never had the weapons wheel and ai team mates Absolutely loved wildlands ❤
It's funny how Ubisoft can say, "The feedback you've given for Ghost Recon Breakpoint has been instrumental and will help shape the future of the franchise." and pull the plug on dev for Frontlines after its negative reception, which happened to be locked into first person aswel, yet the next mainline GR game could potentially be locked to first person. 😅 Im not sure what goes through the minds of the newer Ubisoft devs or higher-ups. It's the obvious choice that the next GR game should have both perspectives as an option, and content creators have been saying this for a couple of years now 🤷🏻♂️ I'll always keep my expectations low after BP and Frontlines, but stay open-minded. Also, it's bloody good to have you back! 👍 and very well said. Additionally, i noticed Henderson mentioned that the next GR game is set in "located in a southeast country" but we have all assumed it to be in parts of Mongolia or Kazakhstan which are central asia because of "Naiman war". 🤔 i tweeted out to Tom and he said he'd take a look back at his notes. So we could possibly be looking at an entirely different location.
Hey Bullet catcher 👋 whens the next GR video coming? Not seeing anyone talking about Hendersons claim that it will be set in a Southeast country. 🤔 people are still expecting Mongolia/Kazakhstan, but I'd guess Myanmar, Vietnam, or the Philippines. 👍
it should be first person - like tarkov and modern warfare 3 - good gunplay - maybe the ability for loading up mags animations complete and included, mag check, weapon inspect and more. Injuries on point and sound being second to none. It should be on foot strictly in my opinion, with vehicle, helli or boat exifls available. Perhaps first person with aspects of third person - like when looking through ur backpack the camera switches to third person as ur character takes it off his back to look inside. Healing injuries can be in third person as well, and when getting on the heli or the boat for extractions from a third person perspective or when checking for injuries. Everything else should be first person. Maybe when prone and entering concealment like in break point when u cover up with mud - then the cam switches to third person. When falling down hill and rolling cam switches to third person - In my opinion if done correctly itl work - first person with aspects of third person. When carrying bodies or dragging bodies it can also switch to third person - but it should be an immersive first person experience. Equipment should not only be cosmetic, but actually have function as in tarkov or dayz. A more realistic experience over all. U should not be able to parachute off a ledge if u dont have the parachute on ur back. Or deploy one from 50 meters high LOL Third person shooters are for kids in my opinion, its more child like and if any online multiplay is included, people will, just peak corners in third behind cover - it never works out well if its realism u are trying to bring to the player. Just imagine if tarkov was to go third person - how much of that thrill would be gone, no more tension, no more scare jumps - its a bad idea for ghost recon to keep things in third person if they are trying to bring a more realistic intense jump scare shooter to the player. If anything it should be first person with aspects of third when some player actions are performed - example knifing an enemy down or choking them out with the cam switching to third person for those actions. Having both options never works out well in my opinion - wild lands and break point have a very poor first person perspective - the weapons look 2d at most - its laughable. Look at the new call of duty gun play mechanics or the new arena break out sound emersion and gun play ! The new Lost Fragment trailer as well has epic sound and visuals all done in first person - this is what we need for the next ghost recon title, if they are going for that hardcore realistic touch.
Totally agree with you, however I don't feel its fair to blame the coders as i saw a video by one that worked on breakpoint, they didn't want to release the game as the world was meant to be populated along with many other things it was greedy management that forced its premature release when the game wasn't working or ready ,i hope and wish that they do listen because if it is only fps I honestly believe it will kill ghost recon
Go off BCG - we need to let Ubi know on every platform possible. The real G's want 3rd person. I believe in Ubi, Outlaws is gonna slap too. It is likely that with so much lead time ahead of the game, they threw the 1st person thing out to gauge reaction and they will adjust like they did with Frontlines. Cheers my man.
Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption 2 are - I think - the best examples of games that offer both 1st and 3rd person. It is a lot of work to do but would be worth it for Ghost Recon in my opinion.
I don’t do social media but I’m sure many people do. I’m just wondering is there any chance this video will or could be seen by Ubisoft to actually listen to the players. I tried contacting Ubisoft no luck. I can’t wait for project over I’m excited but I feel no one will listen about third person. I’m now doing a third run through on wildlands ❤
A mission based one with more buildings would be cool or generally smaller maps that still give you tactical options would be great, breakpoint feels empty and pointless at times
So I heard that the Ubisoft suits had a meeting and were considering having 2500 gloves, watches and rings cosmetics up for grab in the store post release! 😆….. Serious though. Love the games and I also enjoy FPS but you are right. 3PP should definitely stay. I wouldn’t mind seeing a little bit of survival either if they implemented it correctly. Nice video anyway. Keep being loud so the dum dums stay on the right track and give us all what we want!
Let me start off by saying their is no tactical milsim first person shooter game available on console. Insurgency sandstorm is the closest we've gotten but its a multiplayer only shooter with no story mode and at best is still considered "arcadey". All of those titles are relegated to the PC community. That being said. Their is a sizable CONSOLE community that is rooting for an fps ghost recon that isn't bothered by a 3rd person mode or lack of it. That community is the realistic tactical milsim community. That being said I believe that 70% of the ghost recon community do not want a "realistic tactical milsim" game, but rather a tactical looking 3rd person shooter "realism be damned" Both communities are are very vocal and while the former community may not necessarily be a diehard ghost recon community, they are a part of the much larger community that wants a tactical milsim game "ON CONSOLE" The argument is that ghost recon is the only tactical 3rd person shooter in today's market. So it's obviously a no-brainer to keep it in 3rd person. But it also has the opportunity to be the only tactical milsim fps on console as well. So it's logical to have both fps and 3rd person as a built in core feature of the game in order to hit 2 birds with 1 stone I personally would like to be able to hop on my ps5 "since I can't afford a gaming pc" and play games like ready or not and escape from tarkov... but it's not available to me as a console player. Ghost recon has the ability to fill that gap.
Breaking news: people who are playing a third-person game like third-person games!!! Stop the presses! Where was the "New GR Must Have First-person" vid? Was it "absurd" to not have first-, and did you ever say so? Oh, you don't actually care about that; you're simply biased. You didn't even make an effort to point out how first-person makes the game better and more tactical. GRFS was the first GR game to not have first-person as a dedicated perspective (still having it as aim.) Can you all stop acting as if the series wasn't known for being first-person? How is first-person "trend-chasing"? They added third-person when they were chasing trends. It's not "arguable" that it's easier to aim or be precise in movements; it's science. How is the series "famous" for being able to customize the operator? For the majority of the series, you can't change your outfit or even select any gun that you want to use. I've never heard anyone's description of GR be "that's the series in which you can customize the operator!" That's even worse than the already ridiculous claim of the series being known for being open-world. The actions of the avatar are not at all restricted by the first-person perspective. The FP mods prove that for anyone foolish enough to think otherwise. It's interesting that "combat rolls" aren't ridiculous unless they're in first-person. Please, link me footage of the many instances of "combat rolls" being used in combat. Literally, the only thing you have is "you get to look at your avatar more often." What would I ever do without being able to see such immersive stuff such as 2:15, 3:21, 14:02... It looks so silly.
They don't actually want a realistic tactical shooter. They want a tacticool role playing simulator so they can make believe themselves to be any character under the sun. It's fuckin ridiculous. Wildlands did great in terms of sales because ppl like stupid shit, not because it was a good ghost recon game and breakpoint was even worse stupid shit with the crappiest story I've ever seen not even the Punisher himself could offset the level of fuckery that game was. Combat rolls cqb takedowns and hiding in bushes... seriously leave that stuff for splintercell and assasins creed. Have ghost recon focus on teamwork and strategy and most importantly THE GUNS. I couldn't care less about 3rd person. fps is definitely the way to go. No more being able to cheat by seeing around and over corners. Let the players who actually care about realism feel the stress of having to lean and peek cover and risk getting shot in the face.
@@KillMonger592 , yep! I like the people in the community enough, but almost none of them talk about gameplay. It's mostly Barbie stuff. When they do talk about gameplay, it's typically asking for rappelling or for nautical stuff. I don't know what game they're trying to get, but it's not what GR is supposed to be. They would rather play Just Cause than Black One Blood Brothers.

You said it all, don't f*ck with your fans of the franchise. Since there is already a FPS view when aiming down sights, it would be easy to implement an optional non-ADS FP view for those who want it. I like FPS also, but there are so many options already in that genre, more coming all the time. I personally also find the connection built to the character through 3rd Person much stronger, seeing all the customizations, how your character moves and having a better overview when stealthing, it all makes it more immersive for me. I can get lost for hours in BP or WL while CoD & co I put down much quicker. Ubisoft must listen, we need 3rd Person!
Plain and simple. I bought Wildlands at launch. When Breakpoint launched as a stupid gear score looter shooter I waited until the ghost experience came out before I bought it at 12USD on discount. If GR Over comes out with no 3rd person, I won't buy it. I'll wait until 3rd person is back in. If Ubisoft want me to buy the game full price at launch, they will give me 3rd person at launch. Otherwise I'll pick it up on sale after the fans tear them apart and they are forced to add 3P back in.
Of course there'll be third person, how they going to sell stupid pink and tartan kit and orange weapons if the buyer can't see his character wearing it?😂 Whatever they do just don't give us another Breakpoint.
I honestly dont think we will have a good Ghost Recon game. Ubisoft itself been pretty bad for its recent / canceled shooters. GR Future soldier imo was the last good GR. Everything after are like a spin-off from other games. I'll try the new Ghost only if it has third person
To be fair to the devs this kind of decision can be made by the corpo suits above them who dont listen to the fans. The investors might see call of duty tarkov and all these FPS games and they might try and chase the oversaturated market and theres nothing the devs can really do about it if the investors force that upon them. At the end of the day Ubisoft is a corporation and a really clueless one at that. The only reason the clone wars existed in EAs battlefront ii is because the devs went rogue and put it in to make fans happy so hopefully it locking it into FPS is the investors and corpos above them imposing their idiotic will, the devs have the courage to make the fans happy anyways
New ghost recon will not have third person. Because Ubisoft want to develop their own battlefield / call of duty alternative and provide pvp to the battle royale junkies and make profit. And games will consume anything they push out. So yah good bye third person.
Unfortunately Ubisoft has failed to listen, and then backtrack so many times I have little to no confidence In their ability not to fuck this up in one way or another. My negativity is purely based on their track record of listening to an absolute avalanche of golden advice from tens of thousands of loyal fans over decades now pleading with them. The people who make the money happen and the game ultimately a success. Il gladly be wrong but with Ubisoft at the helm without community hearing aid not plugged in properly who knows.
i see that ubisoft do want to spend time and money for the character customization and animations sense the team that was responsible for all this in wildlands and breakpoint retired from the company
I understand your points however im all about making the experience as realistic as possible, no hud, no minimap, i want nothing on my screen and i dont want to be in third person because i dont want my field of view behind and around me. I was my camera to mimic my eyes like the first person mod does
So if you are forced to play as one perspective, would you choose first person every time? BP was developed without AI squad mates in mind and I think if they overhaul AI squad mates, and commands, this would for sure work better in third over first. Also I believe that stealth play and Character customization is better in third over first. If I'm forced to only have 1 view, for me it's third but I would like to have the option for the reasons you mentioned.
I'd expect nothing out of it whether it has 3rd person view or not. Good game in the hands of shit developer, sooner or later it going to turn into a shit game. Well, if it somehow managed to draw my interest, I'll be sure to pirate it as a demo and see if it worth the money I have yet to spend.
Doubt that's the reason to like third person. For me, I get motion sickness on first person. Seeing my character and animation seems more authentic and connected to the player. First person games look all the same. My friends and I make fun of it as it you just using a drone with a gun moving😅
Third is cool and all but the game started as first person. I personally want it to go back. And have full fleshed out options for both. People saying it’s a staple of the product its not. The origins for the several original iterations were first person. That whole it’s a staple and people demanding third person. Irky as hell… but I do get people want it. Don’t get it twisted first person was the first and in my opinion best view for immersion. And NO IT SHOULD BE BUILT FIRST PERSON first. Smh Console players never have the option for a tactical sim for military we always get cartoonish mess. From the talks i’ve heard ubi is going to attempt to go back to their roots. Yall are trying so hard to derail it… stop 😂
😂 they don’t care because they think they know better than us. I mean, just look at their latest decisions with all the recent other games. And if you dare question them while you’re everything in the book, you’re a terrible person.
Ok. If you do not want to play I appreciate it.Nobody will force you to play nor to buy the game. You do not have to post bad comments just because the game is going to be in FPP.
Honestly I'm pretty stoked about it being first person, I mean yeah 3rd is nice but I kind of wanna see abit more change and something different. I don't hate third person it's just I to play it more differently kind of feel more immersed into it, not being able to see what my enemies could do, the feeling of being more immersed in your environment. In third person you can basically see what your enemies are going to do, not in 1st you have to think alittle harder on what your next move will be instead of Just running and gunning
3rd person or I won't buy it. (TPP) I don't mind the 1st person (FPP) option like they have been doing, but the games all look the same if it is only FPP. For me FPP is the way to go with VR games and googles. I've watched some FPP video of games and for me it is boring and not immersive at all. They ALL look like the same game. Easier to make because you don't have the TPP animations to account for. If they were smart they would merge positives of Wildlands with BreakPoint for their next version. Wildlands definitely had it going on and I don't understand why they removed some features when they did Breakpoint. Some simple, but that makes me question it even more. There are positives that were added to Breakpoint as well, but I didn't see EXPANSION. What they expand on is not gameplay, but accessories. Then of course the pay to play. So much could have been added to make this game much better it isn't funny. I wish I had the money, because I could do so much better with expanded ideas of functionality and removal of tedious functionalities after you reach a certain level. With all of the Skell Credits that I will never run out of I would make the WEAPONS RESUPPLY have an OPTION to FILL ALL ITEMS rather than individually. It doesn't sound like much, but it is one of the easier items I would add. They had it with upgrading gear. Why not for refilling weapons. It isn't a hard update to do. Hopefully, they are not following in the same footsteps as EA Sports and Madden series. They don't want to do that. But again, if it is FPP then I will hold on to my money. TPP is the way to go with optional FPP.
Breakpoint is a terrible game. Might be good enough for those who like to play dress-up and make believe but others can't stand the bad story corny voice acting idiotic enemy AI and boring gunplay. Ghost recon needs to go back to being believable and realistic in terms of tactics and team work added with solid gunplay and a decent story like modern warfare 2019
I 100000 billion percent will not play another cookie cutter first person game. I hate yes hate 1st person games. I dont want to run around with tunnel vision and see nothing. No customization of my character no looking around corners tactically planning approach on and on. Mark my words they will regret it in the end yrs later. Breakpoint is soooooo freaking good, after yrs later it's considered one best 3rd person shooters. I cannot believe ots even a consideration it's just like every other game and movie or whatever they want to flip it on its head and turn into something it's not. I cannot think of a single example of something as of late being switched from what was originally and being successful. Yes this pisses me off so dam bad I'm actually mad right now about it. I love Breakpoint so much it's crazy. I'm so let down
I think you kind of over looking the fact that there are mods for 1st person in breakpoint it looks better. They're also going for a Ready or Not style which is one of the best first person tactical Shooters out there. I'm pretty sure half of the people didn't even fully read through it. Not to mention it could possibly give you a much more tactical feeling than being in third person. I'm not saying third person is bad I'm just saying it could potentially add a whole new level of immersion in a way like how someone a previous first person goes Recon games were
if they don't have third person is not gonna be the big issue if it's fully frst person they need to implement a freelook feature kinda like ARMA 3 or how the first person mod worked in Wildlands. But yes the third person was so cinematic to play as but a bit cheesy for being a tactical shooter since you can third person peek angles to see what is behind and have more situational awareness
The game def needs first person in certain situations, 3rd limits what u can see in buildings and tight qtrs. The og ghost recon was first person and it is very good game. People just need to stop feeling entitled and stop crying.
I agree that it needs first person for certain situations, but that's exactly what recent GR games have had. An aim down sight for more precise shooting and use in tighter areas. The advantage of third person is to take in more of your surroundings and make it easier to control your squad mates. Wildlands had a 3rd camera view when stowing your weapons away. You could zoom further away to take in the ambience. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Nothing is officially confirmed as of yet, so we will just have to wait and see. 👍
Good points Bullet, but the main criticism I have against a lot of the third person crowd is that you guys seem to believe its the most important feature in a Ghost Recon game. You guys don't seem to put the same emphasis on other characteristics which makes a great squad based shooter. Frontline was first person, because the director believed first person is more immersive. He said this in their video on UA-cam. A big part of the Ghost Recon community are more concerned about animations, tactical barbie and camera perspective rather than tactical squad based options, squad based gameplay - things that make a Tom Clancy game a true Tom Clancy game.
Honestly, I think the best way to go about it is to make 1st and 3rd person optional, so we can run ops the way we want.
If only that was possible but this is Ubi :(

I’m 54 years old played thousands of games all my life and found wildlands late it practically changed my life 300 hours in and 200 in breakpoint I got really into the franchise and really am looking forward to the next game but now Ubisoft has shot itself in the foot with first person
Typical I loved wolfenstein all of them and the metro games now wildlands is by far my favourite of all time. Ubisoft please listen to the players I’m one of many PLEASE I need THIRD PERSON 😢
I loved the weapons wheel the alarms the banter the bases loved unidad being relentless let’s be honest beautiful game to me it’s a masterpiece 😊
Thanks, I'm 43 and agree
Ubisoft is trash since over a decade...
Great video. I completely agree, it needs to at least have the option for 3rd person. Like so many others, if it doesn't have 3rd person, I am not interested.
If not 3rd person then count me out
So many people agree with you buddy they need to listen to
Can't play dress up count me out 😂
Great video bro! This is a big risk if it doesn't have 3rd person. Could be detrimental to the future of the franchise.
Totally agree bud
GR will never be the same again. 😢
Guess who's back, back again TELL SOME GR FRIENDS ❤
The next GR needs both 1st AND 3rd based on the leaks and the news that it wil be 1st person, but 3rd should be the primary and first being a secondary switch for some CQC action. Ik me personally, if I'm going into a tight spot, the ability to switch on the fly would be glorious, as I prefer 1st person for tight spots sometimes.
This comment was made during the first minute of the video, I am watching and listening now to the rest while I work , glad to see a new vid from you!
Thanks buddy hope you are well and your comment is spot on !!!
Agree 💯
Ubisoft claimed that the reason they chose first-person perspective for their Avatar game was because they believed it was more immersive. 😬 playing as a Navi, climbing through the trees, and stealthing bases would have been so much better in 3rd person.
Cosmetics are the main appeal to ghost recon, and if you can't see your character, then there is no point in buying gear for them. They are going to need to do a lot of 3rd person animations like rainbow 6 vegas did for 1st person to work.
Loved rainbow six vegas but i agree with you
Play fortnite if cosmetics are your main appeal
You make a great point here
This is also my worry. With it being an FPS, is this there way of outright removed squad commands and instead just allowing us to have squad mates that do there own thing. 😢 I pray this is not true.
If they don't have 3rd person, I won't buy the game.
I can completely understand that
Same as
Definitely won't buy it if it's first person only.
Yes, it definitely does need 3rd person. Even better if you can combine both (3RD AND 1st) like Star wars battlefront II
Battlefront 2 did it so well too !!!
There’s gonna be so many FPS games coming between now and 2025. If FPS is the only option, I’ll prob pass on the game
Sadly yes.
They need to listen to the community
@@GhostLead65its very sad
If I want to play 1st person I’ll play COD , 3rd person features are what sets it aside and adds more intrigue to the game
Exactly its a selling point for them
Exactly
I was waiting … keep me waiting … but here I am !! Glad to see yall back !!
lol thanks man, i have lots of videos coming
@@BulletCatcherGaming that’s what I’m talking bout !!! & I’m all here for it !! I don’t wanna schedule anything for ya & the rest of the GR legion, but I think it’s time for a deep dive tactable with ASQD; Gmoney & even GIT & others !! Just like you did in the past !! Vent our thoughts once & for all !! Keep it up 👍🏾 I’m here Andy !!
@@mouradmorojack1246stay tuned then something is coming
Couldn't have said it better myself. Hope they listen and build the game this way so we can have the best of both worlds.
Agree all day long buddy
Awesome video brother! I think you couldn’t have made a better video regarding 1st & 3rd person discussion on a new Ghost Recon title. Your perspective remained reasonable and agreeably neutral. I couldn’t have agreed with you any more throughout everything you talked about. Good stuff man, happy to see you post this today!
Thanks bud though am not neutral lol i want both lol
@@BulletCatcherGaming lol…oh I know. By “neutral” I just meant you understand and appreciate multiple perspectives and opinions that you may or may not always personally agree with.
Im in the ‘no TPS = not buying’ camp. There r too many FPS games out there.
What set latest GR games apart from other shooters were the graphics and the detail of the world.
Wether its FPS + TPS thats fine but they will lose so many players if they cut TPS out of the game.
Totally agree with you bud
Third person please!!!!🙏
Agree 😊
Any news on project over yet 😢
I only started GRB because it has 3rd person. Ive been really looking forward to the new Project Over but if its only 1st person i definitely will not play or buy it. Ubisoft sucks for this.
I have a feeling that the reason why it wasn't announced at Ubisoft Forward is because they saw the feedback and are now scrambling to change it to 3rd person. I don't think they have it in them to do something good for everyone and have both options.
Could be too early as well they maybe learnt a lesson with skull and bones. Now they need another lesson to listen to the gr community
@@BulletCatcherGaming I wonder if there is a term for someone who vehemently refuses to learn from their own mistakes time and time again
@@cherminatorDRthere are multiple that spring to mind lol
I think the obvious option is to support both. Gamers love options. After playing some of the Far Cry series, I have to say I did enjoy the FPS action. However, I'd miss TPS in Ghost Recon so I can see my avatar in action with my customizations on. Otherwise, all those customizations are worthless. Only other people will see them and you'd only see them in the menu.
No 3rd person no purchase for me plain amd simple
I got into these last two games just in the last couple years and was so excited for the next one but now not so much because of the switch to FPS only.
Having no third person would be catastrophic for me and even worse added on top if it never had the weapons wheel and ai team mates
Absolutely loved wildlands ❤
It's funny how Ubisoft can say, "The feedback you've given for Ghost Recon Breakpoint has been instrumental and will help shape the future of the franchise." and pull the plug on dev for Frontlines after its negative reception, which happened to be locked into first person aswel, yet the next mainline GR game could potentially be locked to first person. 😅
Im not sure what goes through the minds of the newer Ubisoft devs or higher-ups.
It's the obvious choice that the next GR game should have both perspectives as an option, and content creators have been saying this for a couple of years now 🤷🏻♂️
I'll always keep my expectations low after BP and Frontlines, but stay open-minded.
Ayy thanks for putting my First-Person screenshot in the thumbnail! 🤗
Good video and like you and dude said, if third person is not there, I'm not there
World like Wildlands, Gunplay and Camera like Breakpoint, Customization of Both, story of both. Both are great, has their flaws.
Spot on here bud
The link to the discord isn’t working can you copy and paste a hyper link from the server?
Trying to get Ubisoft to listen to the community, is like "drawing blood from stone"!
Good luck....
Check your emails for a Ubisoft survey. 👍
When is project over coming out any news yet anyone ????
2025
it should be first person - like tarkov and modern warfare 3 - good gunplay - maybe the ability for loading up mags animations complete and included, mag check, weapon inspect and more.
Or deploy one from 50 meters high LOL
Third person shooters are for kids in my opinion, its more child like and if any online multiplay is included, people will, just peak corners in third behind cover - it never works out well if its realism u are trying to bring to the player.
We are witnessing Ubisoft commit corporate suicide in real time
Jamaica Ghost...holding in 3rd view. Welcome back Andy
You would of thought after frontline though they would of avoided the same situation
Totally agree
We need to them hear it
Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption 2 are - I think - the best examples of games that offer both 1st and 3rd person. It is a lot of work to do but would be worth it for Ghost Recon in my opinion.
Ubisoft does everything backwards, this franchise needs a new publisher and studio
I agree 👍 💯 love the content 👌
Honestly this game must have 3rd person, like why not just do it? Breakpoint's gameplay was perfect
A mission based one with more buildings would be cool or generally smaller maps that still give you tactical options would be great, breakpoint feels empty and pointless at times
They can’t do both to satisfy all gamers?
I also think it's time that Ubisoft added mod support to their games, seeing as my GRB right now is modded into oblivion, guns, gear, clothes etc
That being said
I believe that 70% of the ghost recon community do not want a "realistic tactical milsim" game, but rather a tactical looking 3rd person shooter "realism be damned"
Both communities are are very vocal and while the former community may not necessarily be a diehard ghost recon community, they are a part of the much larger community that wants a tactical milsim game "ON CONSOLE"
The argument is that ghost recon is the only tactical 3rd person shooter in today's market.
So it's obviously a no-brainer to keep it in 3rd person.
But it also has the opportunity to be the only tactical milsim fps on console as well.
So it's logical to have both fps and 3rd person as a built in core feature of the game in order to hit 2 birds with 1 stone
I personally would like to be able to hop on my ps5 "since I can't afford a gaming pc" and play games like ready or not and escape from tarkov... but it's not available to me as a console player.
Ghost recon has the ability to fill that gap.
The next ghost recon game might be a lot more cinematic and linear rather than the open world of the previous two games.
The Samurai example 😅😂
Ubisoft needs to view this video and read the COMMENTS
I do not think it must have third person perspective! It does not have to have it at all. What is the problem with FP perspective?
After seeing what the modding community has done with both Wildlands and BP, I believe that mod support should be at least considered
Im not touching the game if theres no third person
😂 no dress up
Breaking news: people who are playing a third-person game like third-person games!!!
Agree . FPS sucks
They should of just put both in
All we ask for was an environment like wildlands and mechanics from breakpoint but nah Ubisoft being Ubisoft
Casting call for Ubisoft's "Project Gone".
Project "GONE"
Storyline: GONE is tactical military video game about navigating the complexities of war.
Casting for the following roles:
Raphael

Ringo
Male. Age 30 - 40. Indonesian-American or Asian-American. Accent: RINGO speaks with an American accent, we do not need actors to specialize in a specific accent.. He also speaks some rudimentary Thai but his accent is not authentic and this dialogue can be learned. RINGO is a respected skilled veteran soldier who is centered, charismatic, and unshakeable. He is also haunted by a hidden past and covered up a use of performance-enhancing drugs resulting in 'friendly fire' which causes self-hatred and drives him into battle again and again. He feels worthy only when completing missions and doing good in the world. Weapons training or military skills are a plus.
Spengler
Male. Age 30 - 40. Japanese-American, or South-American origin. Accent: American. He is the team’s Forensic Specialist. Emotionally unavailable and unable to connect with others unless it’s a topic he’s interested in. Cerebral and intense. Where others see chaos and danger, he sees stability and purpose.
Uhura
Female. Age 30-40 . American - Middle Eastern (or American - North African). Accent: American (she grew up in New Mexico with a tough home life). Generally speaks with a low, laid-back voice. Please indicate if performer speaks Thai. Accent can be a slight Thai accent or Standard American, a British mix, or any mix that portrays her high level of international education. AHN is worldly, determined, and compassionate with an edge. Educated at a prestige American university, she now works for a multinational NGO as a tireless advocate for those in need. Ahn can come off patronizing, but her words still carry empathy. Character arc finds her questioning her allies, conflicted on what’s truly right or wrong as she finds her reality shaken in ways that seem impossible to turn back from. LEAD ROLE
Kya-Win
Male. 40s-50s. Thai or Thai-American. Role is primarily English speaking, with a Thai accent. Must be able read phonetic Thai words in English at minimum. Thai fluency is a major asset, please indicate if performer speaks Thai. Ky was former head of the National Secret Police and is now a rogue operator. Inspired by the coup revolution in his country, he is an enigma of a patriot who will destroy his own people, and with an oddly honest code of ethics, he inspires others to follow his ways. LEAD ROLE
No third person, I’m not gonna buy
I’m not on social media has anyone even messaged tom Henderson to see the latest news at all its been really quiet 🤫
Of course there'll be third person, how they going to sell stupid pink and tartan kit and orange weapons if the buyer can't see his character wearing it?😂
Whatever they do just don't give us another Breakpoint.
I honestly dont think we will have a good Ghost Recon game. Ubisoft itself been pretty bad for its recent / canceled shooters. GR Future soldier imo was the last good GR. Everything after are like a spin-off from other games. I'll try the new Ghost only if it has third person
So many people echoing what you say bud
Playing breakpoint. I love the ability to swap and its easy
The new ghost recon must be both first shooter and third shooter
I dont want CoD, I want Ghost Recon. I will not be buying this if its FPS
Agreed
They will, all ghost recon games have been third..they started adding first person for people who like cod and game like that.
New ghost recon will not have third person. Because Ubisoft want to develop their own battlefield / call of duty alternative and provide pvp to the battle royale junkies and make profit. And games will consume anything they push out. So yah good bye third person.
Sad really though when they could of just done both
I'm pretty much TPP would still be there
The leaker must have only seen FPP gameplay
Ubisoft are you listening or watching???? Third person please 👀
If I wanted to play first person I would just play Call of Duty or Battle Field
No third person, I'm not buying that game.
Sad
I understand your points however im all about making the experience as realistic as possible, no hud, no minimap, i want nothing on my screen and i dont want to be in third person because i dont want my field of view behind and around me. I was my camera to mimic my eyes like the first person mod does
I agree it should be in there just not ditching third altogether and half the community
NO WAY FIRST PERSON ONLY THIRD 😢
I'd expect nothing out of it whether it has 3rd person view or not. Good game in the hands of shit developer, sooner or later it going to turn into a shit game. Well, if it somehow managed to draw my interest, I'll be sure to pirate it as a demo and see if it worth the money I have yet to spend.
They have made great games in the past if they listen to the community they could make something great
what the fuck we playing barbie dress up for if we can't see our player in third person... lets be real.
Everyone wants barbie dress up lol
SOMETIMES WE WANNA BARB OR KEN OUT!!!!
Smh
Console players never have the option for a tactical sim for military we always get cartoonish mess.
No 3rd...I will not buy it....i will be looking for another shooter gamme.
Hi.
If they don't have 1st person. I'm not buying the game
Sounds like its just first bud
3rd person or I won't buy it. (TPP)
I don't mind the 1st person (FPP) option like they have been doing, but the games all look the same if it is only FPP.
I'm so let down
Completely agreed I love wildlands more than breakpoint though I really hope the next game is going to be epic and of course third person 😊😊
