NhA not yet 😂😂
Imagine Wemby vs Kareem 1 on 1 Hahaha. Kareem can't dribble or jump. He would look so unco
Wemby's skill and talent at his age is truly unbelievable... A once in a lifetime talent no doubt! Hopefully the Spurs GM can make the right moves this off season to build around Wemby🏆
He will
He has that it/superstar factor. He's probably going to be the first prospect to actually live up to the "best prospect since LeBron James" label 😂
This year gone be the worst we ever see him😭only thing that could hold him back is injuries so lets pray that man don’t get injured man😭😭😭
For real. He’s going to have a 30/15/5/5 season in his career, if not multiple
@@TuneThaGodwhat’s more than multiple bro
If he stays healthy. I hope he will but it does not look good. I mean now he is too weak but if he bulk up he will get injured.
@harrikuusjarvi3795 this is a dumb take. How does it look like he will not stay healthy?
You're just assuming he will get injured cause hes tall. Derrick Rose was injured prone and he was only 6'2
@@itsjustjohnnydanger Because of his size. Back spams etc etc. I have seen this before. Greg Oden was saddest thing. Just mean i hope the best but really tall people have many issues with health. Of course today they have better care. People get hyped but come down. I dont want to hype too much. Like Yao Ming never reach his full potential. I hope Victor will be ok at health.
@harrikuusjarvi3795 This is different. Wemby is more flexible than 99% of the league. The dude can do the splits. Tall people get injured because they arent flexible. He literally conditions himself excessively for injury prevention, hes rolled his ankle and reacted as if nothing happened.
His ceiling is the goat to be honest. It's scary
It's not the 9 blocks on the stat-line that's scary. He's 7'5". It's the 8 assists. And how crafty he is with his passes. Y'all said he's going to be the GoaT after his draft. I disagreed a bit a year ago. Now I'm starting to believe. Even with some injuries he's going to have.
I am not sure that a player taller than 7'3 can remain injury free like shorter players.
Samson, Walton, Yao, Porzingis, Bol Bol, Sabonis. The list of player that height who suffered injuries is quite extensive.
I hope he stays healthy and wins titles.
Wemby will be the best player in basketball in 2 years. Hes already this best defensive big ive ever seen in my life. The Spurs need to surround him with real All star level talent right now
Baby WILT fusion curry in Kareem Body
They gotta get him out of the center position. Once wemby gets more experience you might see some new defensive strats if he’s playing alongside a legit center
You must be 10
You definitely younger than 20😂
Unfortunately, I think he'll start becoming more injury prone by year 3.
He’ll be one of the very few to win both the league MVP & DPOY award 🐐
Multiple times I’m afraid! Literally making his own history
Maybe more than once
He's missed some games, but hasn't had a serious injury. I predicted he will be injured at least a bit worse this season, and I still think he will have more injuries next season.
9 blocks is wild
Especially vs Denver who have great athletes and take good shots. Kareem would get bullied and destroyed by Denver's front court
@@addytrolla2535cap
@@addytrolla2535 Don't talk about Kareem again.
If the Celtics frontline couldn’t destroy Kareem…I doubt Denver would today.
As much as it seems impressive I recall young AD having multiple 8 blocks per game when he was a pelican. Yet at the time he was critiqued because folks thought his stats didn't contribute to winning.
AD has a 7.6 wingspan. Wemby has an 8 foot wingspan and is 7'5. He should be averaging 4 blocks per season given that he can block without even jumping.
When Wemby gets teammates that pass him the ball, and when he really locks in on the offensive side, the league is *_COOKED_*
He can avg 25 15 if that happens with a few 40 and 50 point games
Ben simmons twin towers Baby WILT fusion curry in Kareem Body
He literally averages the most shot attempts per game in his supposedly limited time. He’s gets plenty of opportunity. That’s a ESPN narrative that you drank up.
@VernonTang-wj9pl they also led their teams to more victories and LBJ had one of the lowest scoring seasons of all time as his rookie year.
Context matters pal.
@@frankiethefrog1752he avg 1 more shot attempt then vassell. Lol that ain't a narrative. In no world is wemby only getting 16 shots a game. A player like that suppose to get at least 20 shots a game
The one question everyone always misses: Is Wemby done growing? I mean, he could easily grow a few more inches, right?
He just turned 20 years old, and he's listed as 7'4". I'm calling him a 7'5"er, just because so many other players have grown at least an inch at that age. It's hard to estimate the height of players of over 7'3", because there's so few of them.
Wemby will be The 🐐 if he stays healthy
Over Kobe?
@@Ball4lyfeeover everyone
He has a lot of ground to cover. Shaq wasn’t as good defensively, but Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem, D Robinson improved their team records more their rookie years. Even Lebron and MJ. But to Vic’s defense, he’s had a minutes restriction and he plays with a bunch of selfish dudes.
@@ninocrown3247 don’t matter this is only his first year.
@@STELLARMIGHTYhe was to win championships, mvps etc he has a LONG way to go. Relax
Wemby will be first player with quintuple double in NBA history. Mark my words
10 steals is going to be hard. In a same game with 10 assists and other stats. Hakeem has a game high of 8 steals in his career, without dishing 10 assists or getting 10 blocks. David Robinson had 7 steals in one game.
Josiah looks at the camera and goes “AYO” and just continues reading 😂😂😂😂
That’s the more PC version of “No Diddy” 😂
If Wemby don't win DPOY, idk what to say about the NBA?
If he doesn't win, then, say they got one award right?

@@skeetbonejones4368 Are the players in the 70’s better than the players now ??
to be fair about wilts 14.5 blocks a game. if u go back and watch what little highlights of him exist, like 90% of them were goaltending. which also didnt exist back then
True
and no one can shoot backthen
90%?
That’s disrespectful whilst being incorrect.
More like 25% at best.
Wilt timing, strength, vert and skill are unparalleled to this day. He blocked the skyhook multiple times POST PRIME.
Wilt at the least would average 5 BPG today and like 7-9 BPG in the 80’s-90’s.
Look at what Wemby is doing.
Wilt was much more athletic, coordinated and only 2” shorter.
That is such an incorrect statement. Beside there are a lot of video of Wilts games. So what are you talking about little highlights? Plus it not really fair to watch video and determine its goaltending games get officiated live without replay. Just like today they get away with palming and traveling. I can take half of Giannis points away from him or say they don't count because the ref missed the call.
Goaltending became a rule in the 40’s bro lol
Bro, virtually any athletic elite big man would’ve averaged 10+ blocks in Wilt’s era.
Hakeem, Shaq, David Robinson, Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, and especially Wemby….would’ve all had double digit blocks virtually every game.
Even the not so athletic, but tall and long big men would’ve averaged double digit blocks (Dikembe, Mark Eaton, Rudy Gobert, etc).
Blocking milkmen wasn’t hard to do.
Don’t speak on history of game if u know nothing about it. Just makes for a dumb ass comment.
@@anthonymalcolmcalan What you mean wasn't a thing? The rule was in place 20 years before Wilt.
I honestly think that it has easier to average blocks against shorter players such as forwards and 6'9 centers than the big men of the 80s and 90s.
I believe that prime Robinson and Olajuwon could also have multiple 10 games blocks in this era, many more than they did in the 90s.
@@johnbarkley925 No, it was far easier to get blocks in the 80’s/90’s and before that.
The spacing wasn’t as big. Three point shooting wasn’t as popular. More points were scored near the basket, and more plays designed for giving it down low to big men were far greater.
Meaning, more (and easier) opportunities to block shots closer to the basket = more blocks.
blocking jokic isnt too hard too,as we see🤡
Just to get back to get dunked on shows that Wemby is a Dawg! That was all heart and effort
When Wemby's no longer surrounded by young haters but rather young vets who understand what time it is wit' this young man the Spurs will be perennial champion favorites for the next decade.
LeBron was surrounded with haters, when he came into the league. He made the finals his 4th season.
He's a phenom. I just can't shake the feeling about his height. His longevity really is going to be the biggest challenge for him.
It doesn’t look like he’s barely jumping to dunk.
And he's not the defensive player of the year. Crazy
He shouldn't be the DPotY just because he has the potential to be one some day.

Could someone explain what he means when he said 'does it outweigh having to live in san antonio full time'. Is San antonio a bad city?
Just a boring city. Utah, Minnesota, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Cleveland, San Antonio. Boring
Compared to living in Miami or LA or something
Is it me or does kareems picture in the thumbnail looks like a character from chappells show 😂
Damn. It must be the 'stash.
Tim Duncan was everything they're predicting Wemby to be. He has the 2nd most all-NBA selections in NBA history behind only LeBron. He has the most all-defensive team selections in NBA history with 15. Nobody else has more than 12. If he was as flashy and popular as Wemby is he'd be in the goat conversation
He’s amazing but our Timmy never got a dpoy and wemby might his first year, the all nba n defensive teams are a given for vic
@@2ClutchCee Tim Duncan never winning a DPOY despite anchoring an elite defensive unit for his entire career might be the biggest crime in NBA history lol. He should've won at least one

@@2ClutchCee that's a extremely tall task but I believe he's talented enough to do it. He has to have the longevity though
@@2ClutchCeeaiming for Duncan’s? That man can aim for Kareem/Magic’s/Shaq/Bird’s resume and I’d argue MJ and Bron’s. I’m looking at total MVPs, DPOYs, Finals MVPs personally. He could get 3 like the guys I mentioned plus Tim, but he can have 3 MVPs and 3 DPOYs too. I can see him having 3 of all 3 bare minimum. That alone makes him greater than Kobe, Tim, Magic, Kareem and Bird to me especially if he’s top 10 in points, blocks, and rebounds like I predict.
Tre Young and Wemby!? You might be on to something there.
He will be judged on championships when it comes to his all-time ranking. The stats and awards will be there.
His stats gonna be so unbelievable tho they gone be apart of the rankings
I don't think Popovic's ability will last more than 4 years.
By that time Wemby will be 24 but the West will be as stacked as now. There's ko guarantee that he will win championships easily.
Tim Duncan had a former MVP on his team when he won his first title.
we need a Europe vs USA ALL-STAR game
Luka and Wemby in the same team is nasty work
Ultimate offence and ultimate defence
2030's era will be Wemby's era
When wemby gets a killer wing and or point guard...curtains for the whole league
Gil is so intelligent and he knows stuff😂 😂 what a deep analysis
What is the name of the under armour shoes brandon is wearing?
Its crazy, he's doing this while still having a LONG way to go defensively
Bro’s KD if he was half a foot taller. He’s even got a bigger bag than rookie KD.
If wemby can balance the three level scoring as well as the defensive dominance he’ll definitely be in the competition for best two way player period

Es increíble ver al panel de comentaristas y ese silencio de que sera el mas grande y nadie opina porque saben que asi sera 😮
I love this show ❤❤❤
Would love for his run to be more competitive need Bol Bol to step up a Notch 📈🏁
Thats what Chet is there for Bol Bol doesnt want to be that type of player.
Sengun as well. He’s only 21 averaging 21,9,5 (He’ll be like Jokic)
Wemby is a monster!
This group says Wilt should get no love because he was bigger than everyone. I think Wemby is great and will rule the league, same way I think Wilt is underappreciated. How do you appreciate Wemby and not Wilt.
The way people hype up Wembanyama is how I hype up Wilt Chamberlain
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🐐
With Wemby its all about health cause the sky is the limit
If Trae goes there and they surround Wemby with 3D type players. Its gonna be difficult beating them
Needs 27 blocks more to move in top 5 all time rookie block list, lets go Wembanyama 👊🏻
I think Wemby is already the best center ever, because he does it all. He beats out Jokic and Embiid because he can dribble like a PG. And he steals the ball a lot with his quickness. He will probably end up with several Quadruple Doubles. He was only 3 shy of one the other day. Only four times in NBA history has someone had a Quadruple Double.
if jokic score 42 on him imagine what would prime shaq do to him 😂
Wemby is a stretch 4 just like porzingus. If you put any legit centers with either of those guys they can’t move anyone in the paint. Now think of wemby as Tim Duncan with range. Imagine wemby playing off a legit center… that would be unstoppable like how Timmy had Robinson. Wemby needs a Robinson
Crazy cause soon as he got moved to center he started really killing it
So far this season he been great but the team will need to be better as far as winning.
Gil Arena is probably the most consistent basketball podcast out of them all
The new clip about Tatum and Luka was one of their worst ever.
This is Hakeem stat line.
I'd like for Wemby to get some work in with Hakeem in Houston in the offseason. Imagine that.
that didnt rly help few of them
Wemby will eventually be the best center since Jokic.
NOTE TO EDITOR: cut to the video they are reacting to in fullscreen. You cant see whats going on, even when sitting close to the screen.
I only wish him the best. But he is one lower body injury away from never playing again. Pulling that statement multiple years early
He doesn’t even play 35 minutes and this is his stat line 🤯🤯 picture him playing 40 minutes ….
Players this tall can't play 40 minute games.
Hell no if I’m the spurs I don’t want to place Trae with wemby the better fit would be trying to get garland from Cleveland
They need to go get Murray back for a little less than what they traded him for. I'm with you, no midget scorers with no D for Wemby.

C'est un truc de fou !
Every American player brings up "living in San Antonio". That demonstrates exactly why Europeans are dominating the Association. American players don't want to win, they want to "get they bag". Wemby is the product of a two-parent household. He's been playing as a professional for years now. His attitude and statements demonstrate his drive for greatness. I don't think most NBA players or media understand him.
Wemby will be a retired near billionaire before the age of 40, probably before 35. If he wants to live a dissolute life, hit the bars and strip clubs, he'll be able to do that. I don't think he will. I think he's in the mold of Jokic, Duncan, and Manu...a winner.
Didn’t Tim Duncan almost have a Quadruple Double in a finals game against the NJ Nets?
I ask bc I remember a ref saying that they counted his block as a steal (he had 9 blocks).
Yes. Close out game if I remember correctly

AD has a 7.6 wingspan. Wemby has an 8 foot wingspan and is 7'5. He should be averaging 4 blocks per season given that he can block without even jumping.
I am not impressed with his ability. It is mostly the result of his incredible height.

Coming from Gil, LeBron and other historians of the game, wemby will perhaps be the big, new change in how the game is played...

It’ll be an actual let down if they don’t get wemby a dpoy this year, he’s a wrecker on defence, never seen anything like him on that end it’s scary.
Wemby is Hakeem & KD skillsets in Ralph Sampson body.

Denver isn't the best team without Jamal Murray. But yeah, they do have Jokic.
How many points did Joker 🃏 score🤔🤦🏻♂️😂
HIM DUNCAN
Before I can agree with this statement, I would need to see Wemby (first) go to a NCAA D-1 college FOR 4 YEARS. And in those four years go 88-2, Win 3 consecutive NCAA Titles, 3 consecutive NCAA Player of the Year Awards, 3 consecutive Man Of The Tournament Awards, and 3 consecutive UNANIMOUS All-American Awards. Then after that get drafted #1 overall. Then after that win Rookie Of The Year while leading his team to the NBA Finals. Then after that win League MVP AND Finals MVP in year 2....
What was Gil B saying anout Milwaukee? They got beat by Memphis. Man hes right Doc a dumptruck
I feel like Wemby will have a "out the entire season" year maybe once or twice
I predicted more injuries for his rookie season. He missed a few games, but he might be less injury-prone than we thought. For big men to be out for a season, it usually means the end of their prime, and several injuries happening once they return.
Gil lose brain cells when you talk to him about defense 😂
1:20 literally stats nowadays
I gotta get me some money bro what the fuck lexie wearing a shoe that could pay my rent for a year.. And i aint even paid my rent yet for April wtf
Don’t ignore the 42 points Jokic scored on his ass.
If Wemby bulks up a bit, and stays healthy...it's basically inevitable. Dude is a legit cheat code.
Spurs management has a big job ahead of them… they got 7 years max
I get what you mean but I think that’s unrealistic. These top tier athletes they can jump at the rim. If you perfect throwing it at the perfect height maybe but that’s difficult and difficult to finish regularly. It’s why you don’t see him play like that. I think quick lbs would be really effective for him like if he’s open just throw it directly high and to the rim but other than that just regular lobs I think most teams can get too. Now in the post if he can develop that and idk because he needs size and he not built that way, but if you can’t deny him from getting the ball. Idk he’s interesting we will see how he develops. He seems from how he is currently is going to be a smaller build so I don’t expect him to be Giannis. More Yao Ming type but with a better body for basketball. Yao was unfortunately too big at that height to sustain but wemby has a great basketball body. Luke Durant
He survived this rookie season without serious injuries because the league is so extremely soft. If the paint brawls start coming back at all, Wemby won't be as healthy at this weight. Probably won't avoid injuries either way.
Best three way player.
Bro Half that team is getting traded or waived. Ain’t no way the Spurs don’t see they not sharing the rock. After this season the whole team willl be built around Wemby.
The Cavs were hostile towards LeBron his rookie season, and I don't think many got traded. And the Spurs must have some new rookies coming in next season.
How is anyone else winning DPOY after this year?
By holding Jokic, Sengun and Embiid lower than their season highs in points.
People love to make predictions. Talk shows gotta have something to talk about! No harm there, but I just don't get into it. All I know is that Victor has been phenomenal this season and he deserves ROY and DPOY.
Everyone talking about #wambawamba but who's this female on the couch? She's absolutely gorgeous. 😍
Goaltending was not a violation when Wilt or Bill played
Yes it was. Did you hit your head onto something?
David Robinson was the last quadruple double I believe.
Was Tim Duncan better on defense or offense??
Defense, by a small margin. I'd say Duncan was deserving of 4 defensive player of the year awards. He won zero.
He had a great all-around offensive game. But he wasn't that clearly the best in the league on offense, than he was on defense.
Wemby is HIM and we coulda got a glimpse of this when bolbol came but he got black balled for being African which is the narrative. Wemby is just doing shit that makes it impossible for yall to talk about about 😂 but yall gon learn 💪🏽
Conveniently leaving out of the conversation a Center guy who scores 30-40 points every time he plays Wemby 😅
