Seems like there's maybe something going on with the bright lights trackside, they're supposed to be LED flag panels. So would flash yellow, if there's an incident etc. I think maybe your Post Procesing filter is clashing with the settings for them, causing them to be so glowy all of the time.
Yep, it's just my settings. It wasn't something that bothered me much! Nice work btw!

Madrid is looking to be one of those tracks that’s fun to hotlap, yet average to mid for racing.

Nearly a third of all current circuits are on that tier.
Only reason why I like this Madrid go is because I can see the race without paying. (I live beside IFEMA)
Like traditional Race tracks, like f1 cars have out grown them, every corner is flat look at Zandvoort whos tighter than monaco, like monaco is the only street circuit whos bad for racing, same with miami. I want Monaco to stay because its monaco, miami can piss off its awful, but dont hate something bevause its that something

I get some Mount Panorama vibes in the sector 2. It honestly looks a lot better than what I gave it credit for by looking at the map, only if those elevation changes are accurate. Could be a fun circuit after all

This track feels like a combination of a lot of tracks. India, Adelaide, Sochi, Canada, Jeddah are the ones that come to mind for me
It looks like a fun track to drive especially with the elevation changes but it's sad that we may be losing more and more classic tracks
since its barcelona its fine. only a problem if they start taking the actual good tracks away
@@kennythx9395 Keep in mind that Barcelona has been in the calendar for 40+ years, is an iconic and classic track, and is actually good for racing. So no, it wouldn't be fine. That's still not a problem at all as, id the news are true, Barcelona GP should renew its contract too. So we'll most likely have 2 Spanish GPs.

@@Tortoso16Nope, Barcelona is akin to Monaco. Unless you’ve got a car advantage, the only thing you’ll be seeing is DRS overtakes into turn 1 mostly.
If anything it’ll be refreshing to see Madrid.
@@MikeCobweb Not really, you can battle head-to-head for the full Sector 1, Russel vs Verstappen in 2022 is a great example. The other zones where you can attack are turn 5 and turn 10, hard-braking zones good for divebombs. I would not compare it to Monaco who has literally 0 places to pass. But yea, i'm still happy to see Madrid, i would be even more if we could have both tracks.

Positively surprised to see the elevation changes. Esepcially the corner combination at 1:15 looks fun. Other than that it's the same old formula of endless corner leading into another endless corner, finally leading into an incredibly tight corner that will never see any kind of overtaking maneuver, except maybe by some F2 hotshot who just recently graduated from the Maldonado school of driving.
People hated on this circuit before even understanding how the layout really was. Since it was presented I always thought it was going to be a great addition to the calendar, and my feelings got confirmed by this video. Not so many overtakes in sight but definitely a unique sequence of corners!
It’s bewildering how people jumped on the hate wagon despite Barcelona being a snooze fest itself in the race with practically turn 1 being the major overtaking zone and that’s mostly due to DRS.
@@MikeCobwebIt confirmed to me that most F1 fans just loves jumping on the doom and gloom wagon without having any idea what they are talking about.
Everyone said Vegas would be the worst track for racing on the grid as well, but then it turned out to be pretty good. You would think people had learned from that.
@@Dragonpuncher123 Exactly. It’s just that most F1 fans are barely knowledgeable and spout nonsense all the time that one can’t be arsed to argue with them lol.
I liked the track, it could have longer straights for more chances of overtaking, but it looks good, ups and downs, vaguely reminiscent of Portimão
I like it, its got medium and fast corners , keeps you on your toes, its got a good flow, qualifying will be critical, overtacking willl be hard in the real race.

Tried the kink at the first sector (left handed before small tunnel) and fastest I can do it is in seventh around 250, so is not flat unfortunately
From what I’ve heard, it’s going to run along side Barcelona, so there will be two Spanish races, this isn’t replacing Barcelona as of now
This track looks interesting .I have to be honest I used to think let's get Barcelona where nothing seems to happen out the way, than it's off to the principality we know as Monaco . It's Istanbul I want back on the calendar.

I like this video because of the racing and due to the fact it has a NASCAR style corner since I'm a NASCAR fan.
When I see things like this, I wonder if some game developers are just lazy or why they take forever to add/fix features. About the track: I doubt a bit that the banking will be this fast, but if it is that’s crazy. I had hoped that the left of T5 after the braking through the flat right T4 is sharper so it’s a harder brake zone, but I had also hoped the map kunda lied and the straights were longer. I am disappointed that the turns before the banking are not a proper s-section, as it sort of looked it, but maybe for this track it’s better they’re not
I'm still quite impressed how (as far as i know) i haven't still seen a mod that tries recreating the 2026 cars

It's not just about designing new tracks for the F1 drivers, but gamers as well, and this track looks fun to drive on, has some interesting corners , I don't mind street tracks as long as their good ones . Las Vegas for example, ok but not brilliant.

The Madrid City Circuit looked like Adelaide + Rome Circuit.

@@Dragonpuncher123 oh yeah, things like the kerbs and trees are pre made models, I have a massive library of race track themed stuff that I can use.
This looks a bit like a mix between montreal, zandvoort and jeddah
Definitely not a fan of being so narrow, feels like there'd not be a lot of opportunities to overtake. But hey, Vegas was a great race, will see if this is the same

We all love watching F1 cars overtakes! Does this track meet that requirement?
Hopefully the elevation is true to this, looks far better than Barcelona, I think there could be some overtaking but I've learnt anything it's that we don't know anything until we get there. Except for Miami maybe, we knew that'd be shit.

Looks short, fun to qualify on, impossible to race/overtake on. Imagine when backmarkers get in the way
Its good over 1 lap but tbh i cant see much overtaking its to narrow and the main reason they have gone there is to make lots of money if they didn't want money then they would put turkey on the calander and ones that you can see overtakes on.
Sadley i think alot of new tracks wont be great it will be decided on money which is why i think turkey wont be on the calander which is a track i think most f1 fans wont on the calander

I already can see a tragic crash in the tunnel entry corner, look super dangerous, the deceleration in the wall will be huge or nearly fatal
You can't really make any judgements about safety based on this unofficial version made in 24 hours. There'll be plenty of small changes on the actual track compared to this.

Louis colliding with nico leading to max winning his first race , one of its.better moments ,that awful chicane and in desperation brought back the old corner, but its all too late , i was never much of a fan of the track , always felt the teams let the track down, treated it more as a test track than a race track.
Bring back Hockenheim or Nürburgring or Sepang or like India or Korea ffs
This track just feels soulless. At least Barcelona has history and now with the removed chicane in the final sector it's fairly good for racing

Great work by modders and you, Tom, as usual. But the circuit looks so goddamn bland, uninspiring (apart from elevation change, that's quite cool) and soulless. Just a copycat of Jeddah and maybe Sochi? I'd take Barcelona over this any time.

why oh why another street race track??....they are all too narrow, and boring to watch on tv!....monaco is a waste of time....i genuinely havent watched the actual race on sunday for years now!...pointless!!!.....las vegas was underwhelming., same with miami!......stick to spa,...!!!
