I honestly don't understand how a mock interview between two of the most brilliant comics/comedy writers Britain has ever produced hasn't even made it to 4000 views six months after being released.
Nope3, the character was born on the radio 4 show 'On The Hour' (the pre-runner to 'The Day Today') and Stewart Lee was the creator. Armando is responsible for most of the scripts (the funny bits anyway), coogan just provides the characterisation really.
I've got one - the Kofi Anann Joke, could be done with the pm of Israel, who starts every day in a web cafe... What would you like Prime Minister, Netanyahu ('net, & Yahoo) "YES PLEASE!!" You're welcome.
na apparently lee and herring wrote much of the early stuff in 'on the hour' but then left through disagreements, not responsible for the creation of the character though

11 years after your comment it stands at a still paltry 64k views.
Because their brand of humour or satire really is too highbrow?
@@SkinnyEMedia - It's more art, really.
Love that bit of Lee forcing an unfunny gag into awkward humour by just bearing his presence down the camera lens.
"I'm approaching that age like...Tony Blair or Frank Skinner" Fucking lol
There is actually a cafe in Marseilles called 'Coffee á Naan'
I love how the Kofi Annan gag seems inane until he starts repeating it in that deadpan manner!
'I was thinking of a bank on a moon'
Armando Ianucci needs to be in a show
Again !?

The Kofi Annan joke works so well because it's something Stewart would never make
both are amazing. Iannucci is the funniest man alive
From channel 4 to bbc

Came here to say the same thing!
Its amazing he lasted so long

Yeah since I wrote that I've seen it and it might be my favourite Iannucci show, even over Alan Partridge
Is the music off End War?
One of them created Alan Partridge, the other wrote all of the Alan Partridge scripts, and neither of them is Steve Coogan...
"It's political correctness gone mentally challenged."
lol. Genius.
"I think he should have been made a fascist dictator of the world, then everything would have been in a lot better state"

I've never heard a sentence where Tony Blair and Frank Skinner were comparable. *stares into mirror in monochorionic horror*
Comedy perfection from two comedic genuises (....geniae?)
na apparently lee and herring wrote much of the early stuff in 'on the hour' but then left through disagreements, not responsible for the creation of the character though
I love Nigel Farrage.
@DrewUK85 I always thought he was a Scottish Jew...

Who else could compare Frank Skinner to Tony Blair
Asad Ahmad. A sad almond.
