I been watching your videos for help! I have a huge state pageant this weekend. I followed all the rules I have a long ball gown, nude open toe shoes, and bold earrings thank you!
I wore even two rings in evening gown competition. Actually earrings and 1 ring were from the same set. It just blended together that time But generally it's such a small accessory which doesn't affect anything, because it's about you and your gown anyway. People are watching your face, your whole body movements, they won't notice a ring. Neither judges, nor audience. Even me now I needed to watch my photos to actually recall it. As regards shoes - hard to say. Back then I only had closed toe nude pumps. I literally couldn't find any suitable sandals! However it worked!
Wow these are things I’ve subconsciously known but you putting it to words brought it up to the surface! I’ve been watching and nitpicking on pageants since 2015 but your videos really put things into words and context! :)
Definitely I can't be a peagent. My hair is colorful and long, my dresses are colorful, shiny blue and pink are my favorites colours and I have a lot colorful, shiny shoes but they definitely are not elegant. Well I don't want to change a style so It's not for me but It's stil fun to watch your movies 💖💖
I love these long dresses they wear, usually I wear short dresses but I tried long dresses as well and I feel really good in them. These long dresses are amazing.
I myself think that ring aint a great idea Specially If you're wearing bracelet,cause that looks a bit heavy...! It would be great if we add only bracelet and Big Ear Rings!💜✨ Btw I love your videos Ma'am..Your voice is just so soothing and relaxing to my ears.. I'm just 15 currently and I am gonna participate in my National pageant after few years so That I can go for my dream "MISS WORLD" 💜✨
Personally I don't love rings... I think simple bands are okay but super bling rings kind of distract me when I see the person. When the light hits a super extra ring it just takes away from the person- Im just obsessed with the fingers 😂
Yep, they can be pretty distracting if they're ginormo. To your point I also think simple bands, esp. in an interview setting, can be terrific. But it's worth mentioning that all accessories are still subject to trends so who knows, maybe in a decade, rings & necklaces will be in and earrings will be out. Only time will tell!
I've been seeing tea length evening gowns on the rise because of designers like Tueta Matoshi. Would that be appropriate for something like a teen or college division pageant?
I'm not much of a ring fan! I feel like it takes the attention away from the gown and misplaces it onto the ring. This is especially true if the gown is more of a basic style and the ring is large and flashy.

Short is easier to dance in and show off really cute heels, but long is soooo elegant! Especially when it’s that perfect floor sweeping length!

What if your toes or other area on the top of your feet are disfigured? I would think a close-toed shoe would look better.
