    These are the absolute best settings for BFI I've shared so far. You can see the brightness differences in the community post. Near black is absolutely perfect. These settings are also 100% safe, no service menu access is necessary (I do have TPC and GSR Off).

    I already use FPS preset for BFI but, this video has a lot of work hours behind it; hours spent to make the games play amazing and look amazing at same time. Thank you Ariel. The better you do, the better I do: the hours you put into this are the hours I add to my gaming time! Thank you, again.

    You genius! By doing this setting, you've made OLED Pro/BFI show near black detail even during daytime viewing (all but the darkest of blacks, obviously not as good as viewing in dark room). I can see so many gradients of black now. Thank you for elevating the C1 beyond all expectations. I don't know if I even need reshade anymore.

      Reshade isn't necessary to increase the visibility near black. The TV does it best. The reason why I've worked on Reshade is to help others without LG OLEDs to offer a global solution. Reshade is also great to have near black test patterns in-game, which is what I do to calibrate

    Yup! Again this is why it was worth to sub :D THE VERY SAME DAY ya show something new to try out.
    I'm on C2 so only have that basic Motion setting available to me since I'm on RTX 2060 but I have a ton of older games that I wanna play that runs perfectly BUT are capped at 60hz due to HDMI 2.0 so if C2 can only do 60hz BFI that is all I can do no matter what anyway.
    Well you were not lying, the image quality to me really seems just as good as your SDR HDR trick settings but yeah man it feels like game is running at much higher framerate, I never really experienced framerate over 60 so cannot say how well it compares to proper 120 but man it's insanely smooth to me.
    Something to note you have to turn off VRR (be sure to turn off g-sync in Nvidia control panel first else TV gonna give you NO SIGNAL) which I now noticed show being disabled BUT even then I still had Motion setting greyed out, well turns out ya also cannot have the input lag reduction option turned on which I had but purely cause why not, did not really noticed any difference in input lag so no loss there.
    Keep up the good work man! I have this TV for almost a month but it feels like only after finding your channel I'm actually using it properly.

    I know you're primarily finding your test results in a Windows 11 environment. I've noticed for a while now regarding when you mention "Open the game in SDR". PlayStation 5 version of games will open in HDR if selected in PS5 System Settings Menu as "Always On" or "Only When Supported". The only way to guarantee to open PS5 Version of games in SDR is to select "OFF" for HDR in System Systems under "Screen and Video" Settings. This is for console, Specifically PS5. As I believe, Series X/S, can separate opening in HDR/SDR.
    Then, similar to HDR WINDOWS 11 settings for PS5 were going to the same menu for when changing maxcll. Change the EOTF to either "st2084" or "HLG" to force SDR to HDR (your SDR HDR trick) for console users.

    Great video and great content. Just a question, im on ps5 so its a lil bit different but what's the benefit of using the sdr hdr trick ? I just turned DTM on and it increased the brightness enough for bfi . Is that to avoid double tone mapping? Like in my case, ps5 is tone mapping and then with dtm on the tv also , i adjusted the settings accordingly to not raise the black level . I'm still testing phase since i only recently figured it out , and u seem way ahead already so wanted to ask whats the benefits for hdr sdr trick vs double TM with dtm on ( fyi i don't have a service menu that's why that would be my last step if im not totally satisfied with my current settings) another question is about motion pro settings, u mostly recommend high , but for console with limited 120 fps games especially stable, 60 hz is the norm , and on high i can definitely notice the strobing and is annoying, but can see that is clearer. And what do u think about auto ?

    Do you have a recommended way to force Vsync in games that don't have an ingame Vsync Option like New Super Lucky's Tale? I have a 55 inch LG C1 and Oled Motion Pro requires a fixed framerate that matches the refresh rate and while I can put a framerate cap with perfect frame pacing/framtimes with Rivatuner Statistics Server, its not with Vsync so there is tearing. I tried Vsync in the Nvidia control panel and also vsync ''forced on'' option in Nvidia profile inspector and the frametime is not locked to 8.3ms for 120HZ Oled Motion Pro. My GPU usage never goes above 40% (RTX 3090) so its not a hardware problem and when playing uncapped, I am well over 250 fps at all times so it really comes down to the vsync not having proper frame pacing.

    Cause the whole game is in the dark.

    • @plasmatvforgaming9648
      @plasmatvforgaming9648  Рік тому

      Try using HDR Always ON on the PS5 instead of the Game's HDR and use Dynamic tone mapping plus the 22 calibration I shared in this video.
      Alan Wake 3 is dropping below 60fps, for BFI you need a solid 60fps/Hz.
      It doesn't work at 30fps.
      At 30fps 60Hz you get double images, at 40fps 120Hz you get triple images, at 30fps 120Hz you get cuadruple images and at 60fps 120fps you get double images.
      This multiple images effect doesn't happen with sample and hold (non BFI) for example 60fps 120Hz non BFI will look almost the same as 60fps 60Hz

The color do not pop (bcz of oled motion pro) but it def gives a better natural feel to it, I feel its def the most natural, look good settings I have tried. The thing I will probably never get used to is the difference in the eyes with BFI on, as if it is kinda flashes subtely and gives me a subtle attack to my eyes. With those settings, it is the least aggressive. I had to change warm to 30 because 50 was too yellowish. Other than that, do I need BFI on single player games? • @plasmatvforgaming9648
      @plasmatvforgaming9648  Рік тому +2

      The input lag penalty of using OLED motion pro high at 120fps/Hz is about 10ms (almost imperceptible and at least a 3rd of rendering lag). To use BFI you have to locked the FPS to 120 meaning the GPU has to be at 85% most of the time (unless using Dynamic resolution scaling), when that happens the input lag gets an improvement that compensates for the mere 10ms penalty of BFI, meaning you're most likely going to end up with the same lag, if not better (depending on the Game and system specs)

    • @plasmatvforgaming9648
      @plasmatvforgaming9648  Рік тому

      For example, right now I'm playing Evil West at 120 OLED Motion Pro high. The Render Latency reported by Nvidia performance overlay (alt+r) is below 10ms which is fantastic, you can add the display and peripherals and the end to end System Latency is great
