I would love to understand what is done to the cuttings in years 1, 2, and 3. Do you leave the cutting in a bigger pot in the early years or put into a small pot? Do you trim regularly? Wire branches or not? Thanks! Love the video!

Those bonsi are so cute, my dad had an english freind who pruned trees into animals, rabbits, ducks. They grew on his lawn in Edmonton, Alberta. Intetesting tree pruning. As it is a cultural idea. Don t see many of those English trees anymore.
Very good little trees! I've not seen Renzan in the UK but we do have Hinoki Nana Gracilis that looks similar, I have one in the greenhouse ready to be styled in the spring and one that is more finished, very cool from Mrs Ohno!
I have a few, the main thing is Nana doesn't grow back on dead wood, be very careful if you trim or cut, it's never coming back.
