    the mini Bolbitis...is very delicate and its easy for scavenger fish to snap off the croziers on that little fern. Tie to wood,give much light..and wait for months as it grows wiry roots first then the better fronds come. 3 1/2" is tallest frond since August 2018 adding.

    star grass is a fav of mine once it reaches the surface it can grow the tiniest beautiful little flowers, judt takes a bit a practice to get the light time just right

    Ooooooo you got fancy moss!!! Can't wait to see the pair. You've only been teasing me with talking about them for WEEKS! I've been so good not asking for a pic but the curiosity is killing me!! Show the awesomeness that is your wilds!!! Also I'm loving the African water fern varietal you got.

      Thanks Jim, I'm really loving it too! I like this seller (liquid creations) because he grows all the buce he sells, none is taken from the wild where it is quickly going extinct.

    • @SimplyBetta

      Yeah! I did have some die-off but not that much - I'm pretty sure my nitrates got too low when the tank was cycling. It has bounced back though ;)

  • @meggrotte4760

    Hi I'm actually adding plants to my tanks. Currently I have anubias and they always seem to do pretty well when the leaves start turning black I cut them off.
    The black spots could it be because they're not getting enough light?..
    I turn my lights on at least 3 hours a day. Also want to do a complete water change I add plant food it's in liquid each tank gets two to three drops.
    Also does java fern and other beginner plants need CO2?

    • @SimplyBetta
      @SimplyBetta  5 років тому

      More light, maybe? They don't need co2 but try doubling their photoperiod

      I have many more questions. I am new to the bettas and love them! I bought one to try to save him, he was floating at the top and looked dead. I think he has swollen bladder disease. I've watched so many videos just wanna the right thing. You seem very knowledgeable can you help guide me? karyn7806@gmail.com

      Hi, So glad to hear back from you! He is doing a lot better doesn't look like he's struggling as much to swim down. I've been doing the salt water bath once a day ( I heard that it could burn them he doesn't look like he's in pain when he's in there though and he's been getting better) He absolutely loves the peas it's so cool to watch him eat. Any tips would be great! I actually went to the store to ask questions and ended up buying 3 more bettas. :)

    Ooooooh so cool!! I'm so nervous to get more plants!! What substrates do you recommend? Right now I only have gravel and sand tanks with a few potted and floating plants. I can't imagine plants doing well in these tanks, perhaps I should change out the substrate...?

    • @SimplyBetta
      @SimplyBetta  6 років тому

      if you want plants in a gravel tank I would suggest plants that feed from teh water column instead of roots, like anubias and java fern :)
