- The Mzansi Youth Choir was established in July 2003 with the aim of affording talented, underprivileged teenagers and young adults (14-24 years) the opportunity to proficiently perform locally and abroad. Their vision is also to package, re-package and create new African Music. The choir consists of 60 choristers from Soweto, South Africa and other areas in and around Johannesburg. The choir recently celebrated 15 years and are proud to have over 645 children pass through their hands. Many have gone onto be professionals in their own right.

This was an epic tribute to one of the most beloved, adored & admired AGT contestants ever ✊️😌. This deserved a special reward for this choir & receiving the first ever “audience-awarded” golden buzzer was such an emotional moment. They truly are the pride of South Africa 🇿🇦 🇿🇦🇿🇦

@@jamiembryantbreakingstereo6957 … I remember watching when it first aired here where I am (Australia) & it took me a few seconds to pick up on & figure out the song they were singing but once I got it… I couldn’t hold back the tears, remembering Jane (aka: “Nightbirde”) ✊️🥺

You just KNOW you’ve done a great job as a contestant when you can render Simon Cowell near speechless. He was struggling through his judgement & it’s not hard to see or know why 🌅🌅🌅
He was speechless because of how he felt about Jane and how this brought back so many memories of Jane to him
@@jjsteel43 … I think so many of us who saw the impact Jane had on him & the rest of us can understand the emotions Simon was struggling with, especially because of her story 🥺🥺🥺. It took me a few seconds to realise what the song they were singing was but once I picked up on it, I knew there’d barely be a dry eye in the house ✊️😔

@@jamiembryantbreakingstereo6957 … Flawless, impeccable, immaculate, vocal perfection… You name it, they WERE it in this incredible performance. I can’t wait to see what they do next. They brought back fond memories for me of the Ndlovu Youth Choir, who were on AGT a few years back.
Simon Cowell has a reputation for being a bit of a hard ass. Nevertheless, I have seen him lose it before but never have I seen him this emotional
