Filipino fan here, I recommend buying beef steak cuts instead of the minced ones. The minced beef is often mixed with pork, so the beef steak cuts are better. You can find more options in the public market than the grocery, and you need to be wary of the prices cause they often charge higher prices for foreigners or tourists, not to mention, some lurking snatchers in the area. Corned beef literally means salted beef that's why it's salty. 😅 But you need to pan fry it, just add garlic and onions, or even add diced potatoes.
