Classic heavy metal. I didn't even know this existed until a few minutes ago. That's what I love about youtube. So much long forgotten, but grea metal to dig up.
OMG! I remember seeing these guys a couple times. With Savatage at one show, then again with Griffon and Corinth Ungol. I felt they were extremely overlooked by big labels. But so we’re the other bands I mentioned. Brings back some really good awesome memories. 🤟🏾
Wow. If the person who uploaded this song hadn't mentioned that this band was from Florida, I would have just assumed that this was a long lost NWOBHM relic. And I don't think I'd be the only one who'd think that.
+lynchie137 Definitely. They didn't make that "either pub rock or power metal" choice that most American bands made in the early-mid eighties. They simply played heavy metal.
Yeah, one thing that I have learned through youtube is that South America is a bastion for badass metalheads that love metal to the core and seek it out to its most obscure roots. Just look at the Rock in Rio Concerts, amazing, South American metalheads coming out and rocking by the hundreds of thousands. Also, we have South America to thank for Sepultura and some awesome new thrash bands. They know what it means to fucking rock!
A great band that I do know, They played in clubs from Cincinnati,Ohio to Florida and every where in between. They are from Tampa Bay Florida, last known long road tours was in the late 80's. They are still together and play around there home state from what I hear.
Saw them in west palm beach Florida in a club, '82/83, They played this song and I was certain it was a Hit, also have it recorded on cassette from The Metal Shop Radio show, Great Song, still a Favorite
My cousin Jimmy Sumner was also friends with these guys. I remember meeting them at his sister Marceys wedding when I was abbout 12. Love the local Tampa/Brandon music history.
What ever happened to Glen (guitar) who lived in Tampa from Argus. Back in the day we used to run into these guys from Palm Beach the Bowery to Tampa and Pinellas County 49th Street mining company
yeah, it's similar to the first album of iron maiden (at least in sonority). ARGUS! great band!... it's a shame that they have so few songs!! i want more!!
Real Heavy Metal Old School !!!
Saludos desde chile
🤘Hails from The Navajo Nation! 🤘

Man of power, man of need, sadistic love can be powerful indeed.
Florida has brought us so much good metal!

Seen Argus in south Florida back when this album was out, at Hooligans bar on Hollywood boulevard and Dixie highway, and the Tree House in Hallandale
Music - the universal language. It binds all barriers; language, race, age, etc!
Saw them in west palm beach Florida in a club, '82/83, They played this song and I was certain it was a Hit, also have it recorded on cassette from The Metal Shop Radio show, Great Song, still a Favorite
So many days later hear this song fantastic rocking version.
Wow that galloping sound of bass reminds so much of Steve Harris. This is like first two albums of Iron Maiden. Killers. Great stuff.
Which came from Thin Lizzy....
Jerry ryburn

What a track, vocals sound like Def Leppard until the Paul D'anno scream. The guitar rythem mixes between Def Leppard but the leads are all Iron Maiden.
Hail from argentina
