I don't plan on beating these special stages again. This video was made to showcase all the layouts of these stages on just so people knew what to expect from them going in. I knew the pain of having to restart an entire grand prix just to get one of these, so I had to rush this one out at the time (there weren't any videos at the time that featured all of them to my knowledge). Seeing this makes me think of how difficult this game has become, as a long time srb2k player it's kinda okay but I can't literally introduce any friend to ring racers
That’s the most frustrating part, it’s impossible to convince anyone with conventional racing game backgrounds to try this game. My friends saw me play this and were terrified lol
@@pixelperfectgaming1996 And this is fine, we already have the casual games. Let's have the hard kart racers too. Don't wanna play it? Go play something else.
i'd have to disagree, maybe that belief stems from all the online tryhards out there. the track here isn't that tough and the AI rubberbands like a genuine motherfucker. your friends will probably love this game.
On one hand, these special stages are a spectacle, absolutely gorgeous and amazing music On the other, they are SO FRUSTRATING. 6 especially is my personal hell.
It is so hard. I rather have my expectation on "let's drive around this beautiful stage and enjoy the music and if I manage to snag a Jawz homming missle maaaaybe I get the emerald" 🤣🫠
I mean, these stages are supposed to be for REALLY good players. But the main problem is that you don't get much opportunity to play on the stages and formulate better strategies and routes
@@chaosreaper05 It helps a lot that after you get the first 7 emeralds, you unlock a mode that lets you replay the stages infinitely, even ones you haven’t beaten yet… and with how evil the Super Emeralds are, I got a lot of use out of that mode lmao
While these are a spectacle on a visual level, they suffer from way too many problems. I'd mitigate some by: 1. Prolonging some special stages because in ones like 5/6, you literally break the capsule right at the very end near the dash panels that send you flying 2. Slowing the UFO a bit if the player is WAY too far away (1-2 bumps against a wall/touch the spikes once in Special Stage 6, you might as well start over) 3. Increasing the emerald size and hitbox cuz you have NO idea how many times I broke the capsule but just phased through the emerald trying to grab it 3.5. OR outright give the player the emerald once you break the capsule. If not that, then at the very least remove 1 hit point off the UFOs in normal special stages and 2 off the UFOs in super emerald stages

Late, but the underwater isn’t bad, the only difference is that you have to take turns differently, and you fall slower. You drive at the same speed underwater. Also, you can’t drown. I’ve tried.
TIP: In a regular race, you can type in the console (be sure to bind a keybind to it to access it) "map sealed star -force" to practice on that map. If there are other players in your server, you can race against them on the maps too! I would recommend AT MOST 4 players for Sealed Star Zone, however.
Its because what was originally 4 was seen as much easier than 2, which.... Yeah. Imo its probably the easiest of the sealed stars, i did it after only 1 or 2 tries.
Tip for Venice (Invincible Cup's Sealed Star): If you use the Ballhog in just the right way, you can shotgun all 5 shots directly into the UFO and instantly break it open, although this does send the Emerald flying afterwards. You can also do a similar thing of shoveling a bunch of damage into the UFO on Gallery (S.P.B. Cup's Sealed Star) by throwing all your Gachaboms at once. Also a tip for Rooftops (Lightning Cup's Sealed Star -- AKA the infamously difficult one): The ending section is actually very easy with the right technique. I already replied to a comment on this same video about this same strat, but here it is again (copy-pasted cause I'm lazy): Just before the gap, if you keep going down the slope right next to the edge of the platform (at least a little bit of your kart should be sticking out over the edge) and go IN A STRAIGHT LINE, when you get to the gap, you'll perfectly stay on solid ground all the way to the end. I tried this in practice and it has literally worked perfectly every single time.
got to the final special stage and dude i have no clue how you're supposed to consistently do the part at 21:52. thank god the egg cup is mostly a pushover though because the ai have trouble with the tracks
Before the go onto the slanted area, there’s ring boxes in a line - follow them and then turn to the right as you go near the top spikes and you should arrive the red springs. Alternatively, go immediately left and touch the SPB weapon, then follow along the top most part of the section avoiding the spikes.

To be precise, you must at least get 425 points on a grand prix. You don't have to get all A ranks or to be first every time. But you must build your point with laps bonus (by being in a good place in each lap : 2 points for being first place, 1 point for being 2nd), and ring bonus. The bonus stages where you must destroy all capsules must be beaten perfectly if you want to have more chances to get to a special stage. Also, restating a race makes lose points. If you didn't restart a single time on a grand prix, you get 50 points. If you did 1 time, 25. Twice, 0 points. You start to lose points if you restarted at least 3 times, and the more you restart, the more points you lose. Being first on a grand prix gives you 150 points. It's pretty much required to finish first place most of the time
Yeah. You need to have enough points for an A rank in order to get the entry ticket - except on Master, where just for fishing first is enough, and Easy, where the tickets can't be given out.
I love that the game doesn't tell you whatever technique y'all are doing to keep speed up the first slope in Super Emerald 6, because I sure don't know what the fuck that is.
It's the tether system! Trailing behind an opponent gradually creates a connecting line of sparkles. Once it fully forms, you will hear a noise and get a speed boost, letting you keep pace with (and potentially overtake) them.
