Three legends of the music world renewed the vibratory culmination of years of musical love, dedication and respect. Respect for music and each other.
This is the official video of the first recording session of trios recorded by 5Passion label, as part of a trio trilogy.
"Gypsy" written by Ron Carter
To the Maestros: my spirit was dancing like Monk! Thank you so much for this!
When I lived in NYC in 1993, a guy from Panama hipped me to Gonzalo Rubalcaba; it was a video in which he was playing jazz fusion, not acoustic straight-ahead, as in this video. I was blown away by what I saw and heard in that video-and have since, never ever forgotten about Gonzalo Rubalcaba; it's true he is not well known here in the U.S. like a lot of your other major pianists(could it be because he's from Cuba?), but he's right up there with them in my book(and in a lot of other people's also)...2-9-23.
THANK YOU RON & Company !!!
One of the best jazz tracks I've heard in years......
Gonzalo is unique, a class of his own, genius, just love it
I don't know what to say. I am overwhelmed. I'm in heaven listening ...
congratulations to the grammy, very deserving!
Congrats on your jammy and Grammy.
So fantastic the music and the film! Black and white filming is again the future! All best wishes and please keep playing!!

A Masterpiece by Three Legend's
Masterful. My kinda groove. Bass accompanied by drums always a favourite of mine. Thank you.
Oh yeah, this is sound of life .
Many of you might remember the splendid couple Gonzalo and Chick Korea formed playing 'Spain'. With Ron and Jack is also a phantasy.
Great performance. Lots to learn from this.

The pianist is a monster. Check out a video of him playing Giant Steps by Coltrane live in Japan back in the 90's.
@@sammuniz5360 Thanks. I have actually transcribed this tune from Ron's album PARADE, and arranged in for big band, and also octet.

Smok.....nnnnn!
Listen to "Madness" off "Nefertiti" by Miles Davis - You'll hear the inspiration behind this tune! :)
By wayne shorter****
@@Zacharysandilands madness is actually by herbie, you can hear a little bit of that along with other miles songs in here. However this song "gypsy" was written by maestro Ron and came out first on his 1979 album "Parade"
@@figrindan8151 ah okkk. Good to know who actually composed those tunes from that late quintet era cause miles tried to steal all of em without writing any.
is it a musical art? are you kidding? ( jape)
cool
