Brilliant Rob, brought back memories from my trip to DC in 2019 from Liverpool, England. Very sad to see the fencing around Capitol, hopefully comes down soon and people can enjoy the space again. Hopefully get to see some more walking videos of DC soon so I can tune in live 👍🙂
PS Hope to return to DC one day and take in a tour and enjoy some of the things I didn't see last time, although on my first trip I was able to see many things and even managed to visit the White House East Wing after following information/advice from your channel and also trip advisor 👍
Watching on Monday. Very nice walking tour and views! Would love to see a snowy tour of the Lincoln Memorial side of the mall as well as Arlington! Sure easy for me to ask while sitting warmly in front of a computer. Thanks Rob!
Nice, David! Unfortunately the nice dusting of snow from Sunday morning has already turned to slush in the heavy traffic areas. So I may have to save that for a future snowfall.
Thanks for the snow day walk! It is obvious you enjoy your job. I look forward to taking a tour when we can return! Pete's Diner will definitely make the cut.
I have a bike trip planned the last week of April riding the C&O canal. I'm anticipating having about a day to ride around DC and explore the outdoor monuments. I hope some of the fencing has reduced by then.
We definitely don't get the snow we used to here on the Eastern Shore. We used to open the door and have snow completely blocking it. My father had old pics of him as a teen ice skating by the Bay Bridge.
People V. Flint was also filmed in DC. I met Woody Harelson when they were filming. I had friends visiting who wanted to see the Supreme Court and it was roped off. (Pre-9/11)
"Lock down" is a very misused term in my opinion. Most of the outdoor things you saw today never closed down at all. However, almost all indoor sites including museums and federal sites are still closed.
Ah. I see. Yes the entire National Mall, all the way down to the Lincoln Memorial was closed off for inauguration but it was quickly re-opened afterward. The perimeter around the Capitol building itself is the exception, of course.

Hello from Guatemala
Hello! Thanks for joining.
Seems like they reopened quiet a bit, how much is still locked down?

@@TripHacksDC Sorry didn't mean lockdown as in covid, I meant the recent gates and military.

Hi, I will be traveling to DC from California over Valentine’s Day weekend. It’s only a four day trip. Do I still just need a Covid test?
Yes.
