Nice one Nathan. I should be more organised about quantities. I use Gallup all the time and the price has gone up a lot lately. I did learn at an early stage in my career not to spray weedkiller, then walk across a lawn with unwashed boots...
Cheers 👍 refreshed my tickets the other year, 2 council guys were sent on same course as they'd sprayed the walked across bowls green🤦♂️ it's does transfer off boots😬
Brilliant video mate 👍 Learning I have to be more organised, I am nearly in my 2nd year and took on more commercial! What I am learning though is I need to do things earlier next year 👍
Thanks 👍 I'm sure these things come with experience and I bet you'll find your way of doing things, we all do things slightly different but this works for me. Good luck with the commercial work👌
@@LewisgardenservicesLtdit's fantastic and safe for everyone. The only minus is the cost of the foam and the initial outlay of the machine but with all the controversy around roundup people don't like to use it where we are. Spraying is starting to become more of a no for us.
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd off the top of my head the l12 is around £20,000 then the foam on top. But it's the way it's heading no chemicals and environmentally friendly.
Tip,put some spray dye in with your mix. The customer knows where you've been spraying. Plus, your covered for things, you did'nt kill by overspraying. I like to make it,like the smurfs, did it, Blue!!
Maybe £500 for pa1 and pa6, don't think you need to refresh them tho. This was just the standard course, not sure if there is a refresher, did mine years ago at agri college but lost my paperwork etc for it and was easier just to redo them and thought after 25 years it would be good to do. I generally don't wear mask once everything is set up but do have the kit in van for any issues
I done my PA1, PA2, PA6 and Chainsaw tickets over twenty years ago. I have never done refreshers for self employed work. I think refreshers are more for if you are PAYE and work for a company to cover their insurance. Nothing wrong with doing them though, even just to keep up with legislation as they are always moving the goalposts.
We normally leave the use of weed killer to the boss. He's a great believer of pulling the weeds out by hand. However he'll use spray on commercial sites. Also the price of weed killer has become a joke
Yeah, you have to think ahead in this game. I like to spray 2 weeks ahead if possible for one-off clearances. Were they your beer bottles😂 ? Hope you put that in your risk assessment.
Hi Nathan, good to see you're organised with your weed and go! Interesting video. Thanks 👍
Cheers 👍 I'm still far from organised tho😬

I thought you were having the weekend off Nathan... time to spend with the family... interesting vlog... thank fxxk HAS is all behind me now...
I'm back😅this was filmed maybe last week. I'm always keeping up with the old health and safety 😎🤔

Hi Nathan, new to your channel. What weed killer do you use on your jobs?
Thanks for the sub👍 it's glyphosate..rosate 360 I'm on at the minute.
Hi Have you ever considered using Foamstream?
Have looked into it as a local council are thinking about using the system, do you have any thoughts on it?

What type of costs are we talking for initial set up😬

Does sound like something to consider but at that price I'd need a good plan for it. Thanks for the info 👍

I know someone who got sprayed blue accidentally once😬😅 it can be handy 👍 cheers
Costs now't
Might save,a a bit off bother.
Can you actually get weeds growing in fake grass?
This area proves you definitely can😬 basically growing in it and through it, another year and I've have dropped a mower on it😅
Hi mate , how much did it cost to do ticket again and does everybody need to ? Did mine 30 years ago !! Do you wear a mask for spraying ? Andrew

Glyphosate generally, rosate I think currently

20ltr has gone from around £80 to £300😬 hand weeding is great on borders but all that fake grass🙄😅
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd on fake grass the boss would definitely have one of us pulling the weeds by hand

Few beers to start the day 🤣Last time I went to that pub someone got thrown over the pool table, bit rough😅
Got to love the zero maintenance fake grass mate. I hate the stuff.
That definitely was not zero maintenance, looked like it was just chucked over an old lawn area
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd 😂
The only downside to weedkiller currently is the price!!
It has gone up slightly 🙄
I thought yes how to get ya licenses 😒......👏
That's a simple one...book a course and follow along😬😅👍
