It will collect less water when wrapped from tip to head. I know a guy whose pipes rusted and fell apart in less than 1 year, his were wrapped head to tip.
I'm about to do the same to my vs800 but I'm gonna throw on some 5$ turn down inserts as well haha sounds pretty mean tho despite the carbs being unsynced
Hey Mark, I have 1993 VS800....would love to ditch the air boxes that hold the filters....may I ask what simple air filters you are using,,,,and will the fuel tank still mount with your front filter being a little high as seen in your video.....Thanks in advance....Pat

No it's a 95 VS1400. I have the stock tank it just needs paint.
