All consumer electronics is designed to be assembled quickly and easily, not disassembled. They want your stuff to break and you to buy a new one. It is called planned obsolescence. Only military grade stuff does not fall apart when the warranty expires. I repaired electronics professionally since leaving school 40 years ago
Exactly my point who is the evil person the d.,....k head that designed that just watching it makes you want to puke cry scream keyboard should be as easily replaceable as changing out a battery on the old laptops they've made that difficult now too there should be four screws on top maybe five maybe under some keyboard letters or you pry out a little cover to remove the screws and have the keyboard out in 2 seconds sometimes I wonder what evil people engineer these things and who tells them to do it this way
@Samsung watching this makes me wonder who is the evil engineer who are the evil people who that design this The person or people that designed this should not be allowed to ever design anything in their life they should be kept under watch at all times last God forbid they design anything else ever. The keyboard should be removable in 10 seconds it's not rocket science stuff gets spilled on a keyboard all the time you should be able to remove it without any tools in fact but to have to go through so much pain to remove it and to go as far as even having to melt plastic and scrape plastic it wasn't enough that there was a thousand screws and you have to dismantle the whole entire machine this is top notch evil or top notch ignorance but there's no way somebody can be that dumb That's stupid and be able to get anywhere near any brand or anything at all to design it
Uhh.. This is a bit different for the RC512. It doesn't clip on like your model. I've opened it enough to just clean the fan and reapply thermal paste. But I haven't gotten to the keyboard. All I know is that it doesn't have a cover to go over. All the keys are under the laptop case.
Thank you for this step by step video! Just changed my keyboard. It took me 2 hours to get it done. It was quite difficult but with your help it became possible.
On mine it wasn't the actual button it was just a piece of foamy rubber like a thermal pad that's used for video cards between the actual button and the case part of the button. it just wears down. You can see if that's your problem by starting it up with the top of the case off and pressing down on the actual button. hope that helps.
Wow, really. This is a really bad design, makes it such a hassle to do something like replace the keyboard or even just take it out to clean it after getting something spilled, and I'm not sure you could really get it back in well after...who thought this was a good idea?
Thanks for the video. The access panel on the bottom is a stupid design. Why do Samsung want people to risk snapping plastic just to get access to the drive and memory?? One of my mouse buttons wasn't working either so I soldered in a few new micro-switches while I was in there. I don't ever want to have to do this again!
okay my Rv 509 ( Up Arrow ) Stopped to work yesterday, even when i remove the label of the key and i press on the Silicon, it doesn't work, do i really have to buy a new Up arrow key ?! or is there a way around ?!

I wonder what they were drinking while designing this.

System designer should be awarded with GOLD MEDAL. Not single but Two GOLD MEDAL with Certificate of Excellence.

Remind me not to buy or recommend this model to customers.
Question is, why on earth would you design this thing like this? It's madness.
Samsung is definitely one of the worst laptop manufactures I have ever seen
Thanks man After. 20 mins of agony.. I finally replaced my keyboard

Nice video, i was wondering if you have any video for: how to replace-or-fix the mouse left click button.
Appreciate your response

My brother has this same notebook and some his keyboard keys are not working.
Its a nightmare to repair.
I have same problem with same notebook
Perfecto, justo lo que necesitaba para limpiar el disipador. Ahora toca mejorar la memoria y sustituir el hdd por un SSD

stupid design !!!
Thanks this video was very helpful in finding all the screws etc!
Thanks for the video brother...
You could have use the same soldering iron tip to remove those plastic rivets...
Why use the soldering iron at the end? the keyboard clicked in anyway. Can I just pass this step with no problem?
because for all fixed bezel.
but
exactly (simple keyboard clicked in housing ,even functions)
must not be used with soldering iron ..
Thank you
their notes added in video ..
