Just re-watched that episode and I'm really upset that dreaming of you was replaced... Destroyed one of my favorite scenes 😤😭 This song itself is not bad though
Idk if you listen to it too, but according to their Fake Doctors podcast they said when everything started to be streamed online, some songs in the series were lost because they couldn’t get the rights to have it air on streaming services. Or at least that’s what I understood.
Vinote Diagou not wanting to be square, but this isn't the original song from that scene. The song that was heard in the original airing was Dreaming of You by The Coral (a song which fits the scene in which it is used better in my opinion). This one's good too, but somehow doesn't work as good with the scene.
Let's Plays in Space U're confusing two songs dude. The one from The Coral has nothing in common with this one up here. excepting the fact they are both good ;D
Ivern le buisson incurvé nah of course it has nothing to do with this song, but in the Scrubs episode they used the song from The Coral, originally. This song got used in syndication, I presume because NBC/ABC didn't want to pay the fee for The Coral's song.
As a Here Come the Mummies fan, this song is one of my favs! From the context I have, though, this totally shouldn't have replaced Dreaming of You. It seems like it was finally meant to be an intimate moment after tons of buildup, and that song makes it way more heartfelt. This reduces it to sounding like something ultra-scandalous, and while in other scenarios this song would rock, I feel like this is inferior. Never seen Scrubs, but smh deserved to keep Dreaming of You. Maybe there were licensing issues.
My best friend and I disagree on this scene. The first time I saw the show was on Netflix, so "Dirty Minds" was the song played over this scene. Apparently, it was originally scored with "Dreaming of You" by the Corals when it aired on TV, and that's what's on the DVDs. So he greatly prefers "Dreaming of You", and I prefer "Dirty Minds". I think "Dirty Minds", tonally, fits the scene better.
@@Khaleslie That scene is not about being hot but about finally admitting to your feelings with one another. We see a passionate sex scene for sure, but the original soundtrack makes it joyful and romantic, which fits how clumsy they both are and how little do they care about looking sexy in that moment. New song is about being filthy! That's not how people felt when JD and Elliot finally got together! Also: for fans of the show it is absolutely iconic scene and what creates the tone of it is music. When I've seen that moment for the first time I immediately run to look for that (Dreaming of You) song and it have been on many of my playlists. Because it fits the scene so well and gives it a context: it's not about passionate sex and desire. It's about two people who are close and dear to each other, finally admitting to their feelings, leaving all of the fears and expectations behind. While Dirty Minds makes it a scene that supposedly is sexy. It's not! It's all about not having to feel sexy and cool in that moment, it's about joy of sharing that moment with someone close to you.

This is a cool song, but yeah, dreaming of you just made the scene so amazing..this song is about as good of a substitute as there could be though

Amazing!
Note: I was here...
The movie Fired Up brought me here.
The janitor shouldn't worry because in a couple of years he's going to marry Debra Barone and have three kids
Are there any covers of this?

Your friend is right, scene has been killed and they took some zombie version out of the grave.
I agree with you the sequence has more pace
You ruined my favorite song and moment in the Show...THUMBS DOWN!
