Syd & Beryl - a life in film

Syd Pearman was a good friend to Matt Holt our Cameraman and a mentor. We often thought we were coming up with original work but Syd & Beryl had been there doing it the hard way on 16mm film 40 years before us.
He was always full of fun and modest about his work. We'll miss him dearly and he was probably Leicester's oldest professional cameraman when he left us last year aged 88. We are hoping to make a longer film to celebrate his life in filmmaking. This short played after Kim Hopkin's screening of A Bunch of Amateurs at the REAL Documentary Festival 2023.
