Usually hear this on classical guitar with nylon strings! Very unique to hear this on steel strings!! Very bright and beautiful sound!!!! Closer to a harpsichord. Great job, Gabriella!!!! Bach would applaud!!!

From English Wikipedia: "Air on the G String", also known as "Air for G String" and "Celebrated Air", is August Wilhelmj's 1871 arrangement of the second movement of Johann Sebastian Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068. The arrangement differs from the original in that the part of the first violins is transposed down so that the entire piece can be played on just the violin's lowest string (the G string). In performance, that part is generally played by a single violin (instead of by the first violins as a group)."

@@GabriellaQuevedoMusic I never thought I'd be critical about any of your music videos, but this piece sounds so much better played on a nylon string guitar. Steel strings add a harshness which detracts from the overall sound. Having said that, your playing is amazing as always. Love your videos... Thank you.

I -love- 😍 your smile at the end. It reminds me back in school in music majors theory, the professor at one point asked us what purpose the frame has on a painting… after a moment to let us think he said that it completes the painting (a different frame will have a different effect) and also separates it from the space around it. Does a piece of music have an equivalence? Yes, the moment before the performance starts as the performer gets into the ‘headspace’ needed for the performance, then after the performance as the performer returns from the ‘headspace’. The moment before is most likely edited out of the final video, but your smile at the end is your way of returning from the ‘headspace’. Btw, I always look forward to it. Beautiful playing, and a beautiful smile! 😁
