I dunno why everyone rushes their music. She writes all her own songs and that shit takes time.

me but I knew the band had left due to the fact the band left and went to ben moody's band we are the fallen.i supported bens new band and even bought 2 vinyals but carly caught hell for copying evanscance but its also bens sound 2.ive been waiting for a new cd but heard they didn't get signed.my fav band is delain and a few complained they were stilling the sound of within temptation.when martijn westerholt let with mono he was the keyboardist ,his brother is robert who is married to Sharon the lead singer.very few complained because symphonic metal sounds almost alike but nobody caught more hell than we are the fallen.

"We made the record that we wanted to make". No, Amy, you keep saying "we", but it was always about you and Ben, and when Ben left, it was all about you, and your music, and your image and what you wanted to do.
No it was about them she always included the band into everything and even if she didn't it's because the fans saw Amy as the best so it wasn't about what she wanted, it was about what the fans wanted and they wanted Ben and Amy.
If you know about their history there was no real band for many years and it was just about Ben and Amy. He left because she was pushing to make it a band and not just be about his and hers writing. From that point the line up changed enough to where no one really cared about who was playing with her since nobody else really stood out. In multiple interviews these transient band members always have nothing to say in interview end it's not her hogging the spot, they are just lame. Even on this last tour they have changed once again and they still sounded great at House of Blues a few months ago. She is a classical trained pianist and composer and has been the major driving force behind "her" band. She even sued her last labell for unpaid royalties and was able to get released from their toxic contract. I'm sure this benefited her and her band members. She write and puts out albums when she is inspired and had no issues taking tie for her self for years between records since she not a puppet of the machine. I can't see how anyone could try and bash her for being who she is and doing what she wants with her band. She is an impressive women in what is still a dominant Mae field.

Amy has real talent. The entire band does. They have every right to do what they want when they want. Her singing has improved a lot too. I saw them live in 2015 and they are perfect Amy sounds identical to the studio recordings.

I almost agree with you... The open door was anyway the last album that I liked... but the absence of Ben is strong... I didn't like "evanescence" album. It's just not evanescence, even if I listened to them since 1998.
It had some good moments on it but the songs were very all over the place for me, like they didn't know which direction to go so they did a little bit of everything, I think it was too much in some of the songs on the self-titled album
She can do whatever she wants, she is always so true and consecuent with what she says. And she is hardworking af. Love her work and truly have Amy as an example.

They were mainstream during the fallen era, but that was short lived. It was just a right time right place scenario. I find their new stuff is better than the old stuff anyway. That guy is an elitest asshole that doesn't know shit. Ev writes all there own music, they have a good producer, and their label has been very generous to there wishes. We all have the right to an opinon. I like listening to evanesence, but i also like stuff like Megadeth, foo fighter, Mastadon and Evile just as much.

Ben Moody solo album was brilliant, i loved Ben Moody at evanescence especially the origin album, evanescence should of been David Hodges, Amy Lee and Ben Moody for ever. Evanescence's newest album sounds totally different, like the riffs and the rhythm to the songs. The guitar riffs on WATF sounds too familiar to Evanescence with ben
You do realize that the band couldnt make it without Amy. Amy is amazing. She still has a beautiful voice its a little worn out some shows because she puts it all out there for her fans. Evanescence wouldn't be evanescence without amy lee. And there would no longer be any original members of the band. That is the most ignorant comment i have ever seen.
