People in Taiwan are so spoiled by the convenience of everyday life. Even when I come back to Canada after 1 month being in Taiwan I feel this kind of pain too
I remember exactly ten years ago in 2013 when my parents and I went back to TWN for the very first time (for me at least) for a few weeks. The night we returned to Vancouver we took a cab from YVR to go home and I remember thinking what a ghost town Vancouver is and it was only around 8pm. In most cities in TWN people are just coming out and doing all kinds of shopping and entertainments at that time!
Welcome back, I guess. 😉😉! Everything here is a lot slower than in Taiwan, especially compared to Taipei. I still haven't gotten used to it after 20-some years, even in Vancouver. To overcome Mia's dietary request, you probably need to come to the Vancouver side occasionally. A ferry ride from Nanaimo to Tsawwassen and a short 20-some minutes drive to Richmond will probably be your best choice because you will have choices of supermarkets specialized in Asian goods, like 大統華 (Lansdowne location is the best), 國華台灣食品, and PriceSmart (a sub-brand of Save-on-Food that surprisingly sell a lot of Taiwanese brands). These stores are just 5 minutes of drive from each other. While in Richmond, don't forget to go to many Asian restaurants there. Don't bother to go to Victoria for Asian food. You will be disappointed.
Yes, Canada is shockingly barren and very cold temperate country. Last visit to Toronto [ possibly the largest populated city] where we intended to emigrate, I walked endless street blocks and encountered No One😆
You might try to make a trip to Metro Vancouver and go to T&T (or similar Asian supermarkets) to buy up all the seaweed and pork floss etc. Thanks for your videos, and welcome back to Canada!

好棒的雙文化經驗！我們住過溫哥華，現在Edmonton, 加拿大大城市交通停車還是比台灣大城市市中心好多了，但市中心也是不分便的，市政府鼓勵搭捷運公車進市中心，停車費一直漲。今年以來各大城市治安突然很差，我們都盡量不到市中心去。近幾年新移民，大都留大城市，變化很多。
我們倒是喜歡冬天滑雪溜冰，夏天種花種菜玩水。享受居住的環境！！

看到你們全家幸福的樣子很可開心，我也是六年前才移居澳洲的布里斯班，氣候倒是一樣，在澳洲和加拿大一樣，土地大人少沒有像台北可以逛逛或是方便的7-11、全；晚上很無聊大家早早就寢了！唯一好處是空氣好。

在大部分地區，可回收的物品和廚餘，應該是每星期一次。就是要鼓勵大家減少那些要求堆填區的垃圾。衣物也有回收箱。

In Edmonton ，海苔和肉鬆除了華人和東方超市可以買得到，Wal Mart 和Super store 都可以買到。
亞伯達省的垃圾得分類，垃圾是黑色大桶子，廚餘是綠色垃圾桶，也做汽水瓶罐的分類

我從不覺得國外月亮比較圓，但不能否認國外有些地方確實值得台灣學習，就以加拿大來說，加拿大的交通秩序就值得台灣學習
我已經搬到美國12年了，剛來真的覺得好無聊，因為這裏沒有夜生活！
那裡有工作可賺錢最重要。台灣方便但地小物價高房價高薪水低。
若能選擇我願住薪水高物價相對低的地方，羨慕可以在國外有房子的人
