Honestly, I really enjoyed my time at SFU. I was at another university before and I think SFU has a lot to offer and it definitely is very beautiful. I have to admit the campus kind of looks like a prison from the outside, but all around it is gorgeous nature and there’s quite a lot of things to offer there. Of course UBC is wonderful in its own way, But I find it’s too big and too spread out though. Just my opinion though.
UBC campus is definitely more beautiful. But do you know the cost to walk from one class to another class esp. you are direction blind??? I chose SFU because it offers the best undergraduate program, for graduate study I'd go to UBC, you'd enjoy it there.
SFU is better for sure. It's just too many people don't know about this school. SFU has a dining hall, an affordable buffet style meal. I don't think UBC has that kind of place. Not to mention it's waaaay easier to get admitted to SFU, and a high GPA is far more likely to impress SFU peers than UBC peers.
Does sfu have affordable film making courses I'm really confused as whether I should go for langara college or sfu also I'll need to consider money wise affordable So any idea?
I like SFU's campus more. Burnaby mountain park is beautiful and the views at SFU in the summer are great. UBC campus is alright but nothing special, overrated imo
Yo how about employability of sfu ? Do u know sth about that compared to ubc…i heard body saying u will be unemployed after grad from ubc, like from arts or food nutrition, unless u are in competitive program. is that true ?
Well the student union building is opening up in fall so that might make a huge difference and the new pub on campus has changed the vibes... a lot... but, beware of the constructions. And there is a lot of party and fun places, you just need to know the right people
Eh, I wouldn't say that, where UBC is more modern, sfu is more nature oriented with the views and everything, but I think people compare cause a lot people from the lower mainland go to SFU due to the distance compared to UBC, with that said, where as UBC has had its upgrades done, SFU is having major renovations and for some reason has had them going for a long ass time, heh. But yea, people also choose cause of the program right, like Criminology and some others are more feasible at SFU. But if you wanna live on campus you go to UBC.
