    "theres too much disrespect in this sport" Jakob read the room a few weeks ago and made it funny, love this guy

    Very good indeed. I did not think anyone would break Hachim's Mile or 1500 WR, but now I am getting to believe, both Jakob and Nuguse could have a shot at the record.

      I think for Nuguse it was the perfect race with 4 laps of perfect pacing and wind protection, so it will have been his maximum for now. For Jakob it was not perfect because of two backstraights in the wind and pacing only until 900 m. He has potential for more.

    He didn’t like being told he looked gassed though hey, got his back up when cheeky chaves pulled him up. What a guy though. Immense stuff

    Dude is a beast!! That was a great race, and we all believe they both will 👍

    Jakob covered 1613meters during the race. Average speed was 25.5 km/h which is 7.0833 m/s. At this speed rate 4m = 0.564 sec, so theoretical 1609 meters would have been 3:43,16. No doubt this WR will fall. Congrats, try to take the inside spot at the lineups.

    I’d hate to have to run a mile in the middle of the day in the heat and with that wind. Amazing to get so close to the world record without optimum conditions. Not making excuses for him… I just want to see him do his best. Obviously capable of world record after that performance. Hope he gets another chance. Why can’t diamond league think about this and put the final in a location with good conditions and put the premier event in the cool of the evening?

      dont think the heat is going to matter for under 4 minutes of running, in terms of the wind how would they know when it would start or stop?

    Is it possible that one day he could hold all distance records from 1500m upto 5,000m at the same time ?

    Bit of carry on here re. would have liked more pacers for longer, hard to see wavelights in the day time etc. It's a great run but damn it makes me respect WRs like Rudisha's 800. No bullshit, just did it on his own.

    Which runner gets to choose the pace light speed?

    I guess when you are that great you can be a bit arrogant 😅. I wish he gave a little more credit to Nuguse, obviously he was the only who could even come close to him today.

    I think he just threw both Eric Z. & Nuguse under the bus...or maybe it was just the competitive spirit. Would Jakob agree that "It's easy when someone else is doing all the work" when he was following pace-setters or coming in 2nd? C'mon Jakob!

    • @ianbusche1471
      @ianbusche1471 Рік тому +6

      I don’t think he was throwing Eric under the bus, he knows that’s not always possible for pace setters to go that far when they are running that fast. Nuguse I could see because he believes he’s much better than nuguse and he wants to prove it by doing the more difficult job of leading. And nuguse got to just follow.

    Why is no one talking about the American who ran 3:43.97 🤣🤣🤣🤣
    He’s gonna beat Ingebritsen in due time

      Ingetbritsen is beatable, it is been proven .. but what is also true is , that Jacob is very hard to beat the he is healthy

    • @Runners5000
      @Runners5000 Рік тому +3

      It is proven that a sick Jakob is beatable. For a healthy Jakob the last loss is a big amount of races in the past.

    Before comparing with Hicham or Noah. Check shoe technology, check track surface technology, check for doping. Every microsecond advantage matters over 1760 steps. 🥶

      @ZATHURAKEY 8 місяців тому

      Ya, and every runner has run 3:43 in the mile in the last 20 years with all the new shoe technology and track improvements . Please everyone stop with the new tech , "the runner makes the shoe , the shoe doesn't make the runner "
