Why is it great to see that poor Kendall was betrayed yet again by his own sister. If he does it, he’s awful but it’s okay for them to do it to him. They always throw him to the wolves
Its clear to me that Kendall knew something was up with Shiv so he set her up by asking her to call Nate and see if she'd actually do that. He couldve just called Nate himself and he'd always pick up the phone since they were old pals and used to "run around shanghai together". And that was why he and Roman asked Shiv to invite Nate to the tailgate party and not did it himself and to their 'surprise', Matsson showed up too, conveniently just in time for the party. She never got a "fair shake" in this company cause she was playing politics until season 2 she's is the most inexperienced not surprised at all Matteson snakes her
This scene shows why Shiv is a bad choice. 1 she can't lie to save her life or at the very least she can't sustain a lie much like we see in season 3 when kendel easily attacks her by just making her uncomfortable during a speech. Another issue is Shiv thinks like a politician, and not a business person which roman and kendel actually had training in working for there father. You can see hoonce roman gets her talking Kendel instantly figures out something is wrong. As a team kendel and roman are amazing. It's kinda sad how Shiv will always be an outsider even in her own family. She really is her mother
Siempre que Shiv Roy miente Sarah Snook hace una inflexión en su voz, ésta se aplana, se torna grave y rápida o lenta dependiendo de quién es. Me encantaaa
That scene was soool uncomfortable to watch. Watching the two of them confronting Shiv like that, you could see how lost and intimidated she was. Amazing acting and great script
I think this could be my favourite scene in the whole series. The look Shiv has as she is getting busted, blabbing away trying to spin her lies. The timing of when the music starts. Roman knowing it’s BS. Shiv getting knocked down after threatening Greg. But the chefs kiss is the smile from Greg as he walks by. Hard to see, and you almost have to pause it, but it’s gold.
Ok the ending for me was bitter sweet...!but this episode was the peak of the show, from the cold open to the call was beautiful, it was television perfected
i hated shiv more than roman this episode, he was annoying and too pushy but at least his intentions were crystal clear while shiv pretending to care about the country bc it fits her agenda was disgusting, and she actually believes on her own bs sometimes, kendall was unsure about mencken and if she actually cared about the country she would've called nate even if it meant no gojo aquisition, and kendall would side with her had she got a little something from jimenez. also she underestimated greg so much that it was dumb, she knew he knew and what could happen if he tells her brothers and even so prefered to threaten him, tf did she mean by that, "keep your internal organs" doens't even mean anything, she thinks she's unbeatable sometimes and acts all cocky in situations that had she been careful, she would've succeeded, buy greg, get something from nate, save the country and she is smart enough to try to mantain the deal later, but no. from all of the 3 siblings, kendall is the only one who deserves some sort of happy ending honestly. that said, i love this show.
Kendall accidentally killed a guy but never turned himself in, so the boy's parents won't ever get closure. He also helped a neo-fascist get one step closer to being president for his own selfish needs, despite the fact that his daughter will be targeted due to her race. He also never calls or sees his kids. I get that you don't like Shiv (hopefully not just coz she's a woman) but to not also point out how utterly shitty Kendall and Roman are shows you have a lot of bias and cognitive dissonance.
I think she really does care about the country but she's also extremely wealthy out of touch and has no idea what "caring about the country" actually means to the average American.
you know Kendall and Roman are the ones who actually betrayed Shiv first right? And that Kendall basically did the same thing in season 3, pretending to care about the cruise victims bc it fit his agenda to the point where he actually believed his own bs. And actually almost forgot Roman was the first to betray both of his siblings by going back to his father's side If we're being honest none of the siblings have any sort of moral superiority over the other and neither of them really "deserve" a happy ending tbh. This show always felt like more of a tragedy than anything else and i find it hard to believe it will end with a clear winner but we'll see. It certainly won't be decided on the basis of who's a better person anyway coz they all suck and that's part of the charm of this series
I agree. He’s the only one of them who actually has a conscience. He regrets and admits his mistakes. He hasn’t betrayed them as near as bad like they did to him the entire time. For awhile, all he wanted was for them to all get along while still getting the company that was always going to be his but Shiv always hated that fact and does everything she can to make sure that he never gets it.
It was a dumb move but I like how Roman never lost focus of Mencken after learning Shiv was playing both sides. The average person would spiral down that topic
This was my favorite scene in the episode. Shiv getting caught and pathetically trying to talk her way out of it was very entertaining. Did you guys notice at 1:27 in the video, Shiv’s eyes bug out when Kendall said he was going to call Nate? I laughed so hard! Lol! Did she honestly think he wouldn’t call himself to get answers? When she saw the look on Kendall’s face while on the phone, she knew she was f***. But when she saw him talking to Greg, she knew she was royally f***. Greg may be a goof but he’s a valuable one. She shouldn’t have threatened him.
maybe it’s me having being caught in a lie more times than i can count but man i don’t understand how people don’t practice that “what bs am I gonna pull out of my ass if someone finds out im doing this” excuse
The advantage Kendall has over not just Shiv but also Roman is that he understands the utility of Greg.

"For the good of the Republic!"
-Sioban Roy
I just love the way the music picks up as Kendall walks past the window. Chilling.
Greg literally is the direct responsable of the future of America lmao
After this and the finale I think Ken and Roman might be cool again after about a year but Kendall will NEVER speak to Shiv again.
Makes sense she spotted a way to get more power and stabbed him in the back. She's been a b since day 1
@@jimmylee9120 no thats not it, she would have had more power if she voted for Ken but then Ken would have been above her, and this she could not accept. She would much rather have less power if it means she has more power than Ken
@@cainandabel7059 🤣🤣 are you dumb? Ofc there is a difference. Her husband on the throne. Someone who she is having a child with or her brother who she barley talks to...
@@jimmylee9120 but Mattson is the king and her husband is the puppet.
@@jlopezb04 that's like being the puppet of a president... You still have ALOT more power than anyone else... In the situation where Kendal wins she gets lot less power
Insane to watch the final scene between the three of them back to back with this one.
As soon as someone said "it's me, I'm the Succession" it was over. But, none were smart enough.
super funny the way the music picked up while shiv eyed Kendall lmao
1:53 cinema
Shiv is a front runner who always finishes last due to her own envy and jealousy grounded in the fact that she feels she never got a fair shake because she was born a woman.
She never got a "fair shake" in this company cause she was playing politics until season 2 she's is the most inexperienced not surprised at all Matteson snakes her
The Roman impression of “fuck Lyle send” 😂
Wellll... Mencken. Mencken, right?
Mencken.
No. What?!
Tom!
NNNO!
poor Shiv, that second "no" always cracks me up
When you catch someone in a lie, the stuttering in inevitable. Every time.
That "Shivy" line breaks me
When Kendall called her a piece of dirt I was like omgggggg lmao
This is my favorite scene of the whole show XD
Greg owned it
A sibling rivalry, like children arguing in the kitchen, that ultimately affects the stability of the country.
Shiv is the absolute worst. She never played her hand in an effective manner
1:52 It was at this moment he knew, Shiv fcked up. 😂
@ 1:52 Nate "I didn't just talk to Shiv" 🤣🤣🤣
Mess with the bull get the horns
I think this could be my favourite scene in the whole series. The look Shiv has as she is getting busted, blabbing away trying to spin her lies. The timing of when the music starts. Roman knowing it’s BS. Shiv getting knocked down after threatening Greg. But the chefs kiss is the smile from Greg as he walks by. Hard to see, and you almost have to pause it, but it’s gold.
Ok the ending for me was bitter sweet...!but this episode was the peak of the show, from the cold open to the call was beautiful, it was television perfected
Kendall reminds me so much of Logan when making eye contact with Shiv through the glass, crazy good scene!!!
Shiv doing the do ie sleeping with the enemy as a protest f after break up and being reminded is like being caught actually doing it.
Honestly there hasn’t been a show I’ve watched that’s convicted me like this. Such good television. There are no words
Greg the fucking Egg
i hated shiv more than roman this episode, he was annoying and too pushy but at least his intentions were crystal clear while shiv pretending to care about the country bc it fits her agenda was disgusting, and she actually believes on her own bs sometimes, kendall was unsure about mencken and if she actually cared about the country she would've called nate even if it meant no gojo aquisition, and kendall would side with her had she got a little something from jimenez.
also she underestimated greg so much that it was dumb, she knew he knew and what could happen if he tells her brothers and even so prefered to threaten him, tf did she mean by that, "keep your internal organs" doens't even mean anything, she thinks she's unbeatable sometimes and acts all cocky in situations that had she been careful, she would've succeeded, buy greg, get something from nate, save the country and she is smart enough to try to mantain the deal later, but no.
from all of the 3 siblings, kendall is the only one who deserves some sort of happy ending honestly.
that said, i love this show.
And actually almost forgot Roman was the first to betray both of his siblings by going back to his father's side
If we're being honest none of the siblings have any sort of moral superiority over the other and neither of them really "deserve" a happy ending tbh. This show always felt like more of a tragedy than anything else and i find it hard to believe it will end with a clear winner but we'll see. It certainly won't be decided on the basis of who's a better person anyway coz they all suck and that's part of the charm of this series
@@dmaria682 bull Shiv has always betrayed Kendall since season 1
Interesting echoes to the final confrontation with Kendall.
Probably my favorite scene in the show
maybe it’s me having being caught in a lie more times than i can count but man i don’t understand how people don’t practice that “what bs am I gonna pull out of my ass if someone finds out im doing this” excuse
I love Shiv's growl❤❤
“Cause they’re busy?” 🥴🥴🥴 As she scoffed towards the sky
When she said that I was like “really?? That’s the best you can come up with??” Pathetic
The scary part about this clip is that it’s real life. The media actually does this stuff.
