Been in medical field for over 25 plus yrs, let me start off by saying I'm so sorry this happened to your mother. The reason why they denied you the info of the doctor, was do to HIPPA Laws, y'all go to that hospital ask for medical records department, request Mom's medical records from there they'll have her sign a releaseof information, the records will have the Doctors name along with the RN's that supposedly took care of your mother, from there find a Injury Attorney, the hospitals have insurance for things like this, ask for the MAX!!! The eye drops were an anesthetic which is for numbing of the eye for pain which I have been giving some before but yes she could be allergic to that as well bit it is not the same as Anesthesia but you have to wait a certain amount of hours on between putting them in her eyes I'm praying 🙏🏽 ❤️ for her

@evelyngill661 True, but it could still be Negligence brought on by the doctor, the daughter says those drops that were given should've never been given to mom because those specific drops are only used for Anesthesia and weren't supposed to have never left that hospital in their hands. Those drops are mainly used for eye surgery, If those drops are what I think they are.

Something not right. No one knows the doctor? The nurses have access to drops that are for anesthesia, and it's just randomly given and sent home. What hospital is this. So many questions. Man, I hope this gets resolved.
HIPAA laws. They can't say that stuff over the phone. She will have to go up there. Either way that ER needs to be sued, the doctor, and the nurse too!

@TaTaBaby-I was looking for this comment. I always Google the medications and look at what's in it, the effects and healing process.
You can retrieve the medical records from the hospital from that day. They can not deny you that. The medical records should indicate the doctor, diagnosis, the treatment plan, medications prescribed etc. Those are legal documents and your mom is entitled to them. They cannot withhold information of the doctor that recommended the anesthetic. M you will need to go there in person with ID of course. Please start writing down what took place as accurate as you can from the initial hospital visit moving forward. Continued prayers for you and your mother.🙏🏽🫶🏾
That should also be on her discharge paperwork.

The HOSPITAL/STAFF needs to be SUED because 1st, how did they not ask if she's allergic to anything. 2nd, they keep records of the medical staff, times, etc, 3rd check her record to see what staff work and if there's any information on any papers they had given y'all.
Her mom actually did tell the hospital (mentioned while on the phone) which makes it even more unacceptable for the hospital to make such a "mistake"

There are different medications that are used when having surgery. I suggest finding out the specific medications that your mom is allergic to. Anesthesia is a broad term.

I’m not sure if she’s allergic to the anesthesia they use to numb the eye but I think the eye drops were either Proparacaine or Tetracaine.
I bet everyone’s name is on the bill so they can get paid. Ask for an itemized bill.

I just found your channel. I was in your same situation... My Mama's only child, we always lived together and were truly best friends. I'm so proud of how well You're taking care of your Mom...I didn't play about mine either we went to each other's doctor's appointments and everything.
When my mama was diagnosed with ovarian cancer I didn't know what I was going to do. The Mama bear instincts just kicked in, God gave me the strength to endure and wisdom to make good decisions during her illness. I was so shocked once the nurses started coming to the house ALL of them said they hoped that their daughters would take care of them the way I took of my Mama...I was shocked thinking that all daughters would do what I did for mine. Apparently not...so know that you are indeed a special daughter. Keep doing what you're doing and you are Blessed to have all the positive video footage. I lost my Mama 11/2021 and I thought my life was over... I'm still here. 🙌🏾🙏🏾

It's not the hair 😭 idk why people keep saying the hair the hair the hair. She probably always uses that hair and her scalp would be tore up if she was allergic to it. The hair just cut her eyes by accident. But the ER nurse and doctor is at fault for the further injuries. Especially since they've been told about using that medication to relieve pain anyway (per the other doc and nurse). She is allergic to anesthesia. That's it that's all.

First off- any medical official (nurse, doctor, no, etc) should ALWAYS ASK PRIOR TO GIVING ANY MEDICATION if the patient has ANY known drug allergies. That in itself could have eliminated the worsening of the condition 🤦🏽♀️ they all need to be fired

Coming from an Ophthalmic Tech (eyecare medical assistant) y’all need to sue that hospital IMMEDIATELY! I’m almost certain you guys were given Proparacaine eyes drops which are a numbing anesthetic that should only be used ONCE or TWICE at the most during an eye exam by an eye care tech ONLY and after confirming there are no allergies. They should NEVER be prescribed or given to a patient outside of clinic to treat any type of eye pain. That hospital definitely dropped the ball. To anybody that ever experiences any type of eye trauma DO NOT go to an ER to treat it they will almost ALWAYS do the bare minimum or just what will get you out the door. I see these types of cases as a COT all th time & have to help fix the ER’s mess ups..

Just wow!!! The unprofessionalism of the emergency room. That's a lawsuit. Usually they give you discharge papers or papers for care with medications. Sometimes those papers have the name of the doctor who seen you and maybe the nurse signature. If you do not have those release papers then there was no proof that you were ever there. Prayers for a full recovery. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
