NFL Draft Trade-Up: How the Colts Could Land a MOSTER Elite Playmaker! This is the year Chris Ballard needs to do all he can to trade with the Chicago Bears. Rome Odunze would be an immediate impact player on the field for years to come.

Hell will freeze over before Ballard makes that trade. When asked why he had so many 2nd round picks, Ballard replied, "I like dem picks"...
They need to trade up as far as they can, to get Bowers. With Downs, Richardson, Taylor, and Bowers, the Colts could own the next 20 yards, on every play. Betting on the long ball with a WR is nice, but it doesn't win games. Bowers is one of the best blocking tight ends ever. Consider how that opens up Taylor and Richardson for the run. I predict they will go after and get Brock Bowers. He's the move that leverages Richardson and Taylor which is what this offence is going to be centered around.
Odunze would be amazing. If we trade up, I hope he's the target.
If we trade back, I hope it's Cooper DeJean.

I really like nabors more than adunze. Nabors put up insane numbers and he is an elite route runner, he accelerates through his cuts! Most receivers slow down, being able to accelerate like that is a huge difference make, although adunze will also be a difference make early on, rather one I would be okay trading up for
Trading up would be great if they are targeting one of the Big3 wideouts. They gotta keep the 2nd and 3rd round picks though... for those that want Bowers, I think Sinnott from K-State can be had at 46 but not at 82... Stinnett I think is the sleeper tightend in this draft that to me is the poor man's version of Bowers.
Q. Mitchell, TJ Tampa, trade the third for B. Aiyuk and trade back into the third for M. Kneeland
Bowers does. He is the best down field blocking TE in the draft, by a mile.
If Brian Thomas is selected before 15, we trade back a couple slots back for a couple picks. We select Chop Robinson

I'd rather have an elite separator and explosive threat if we are trading up. Nabers and MHJ are both superior in those areas.
Bears aren't trading #9 without a Swap pick and a (24) 2nd.

Only scenario I’m okay with a trade up is with something like you suggested - We need to keep this years 2nd for sure. Odunze is filthy for sure.

Ballard needs to do something or we're basically running it back with the same team that landed the Colts AR in the first place... I've been a Colts fan for over 35 years and haven't missed a single snap in 30... not easy or cheap when you live in California... I feel like ownership and management Quit on trying to win championships the day Andrew Luck turned into a coward... takes a generational talent to win championships and Unless AR can be at least what Luck was we're screwed... what Luck did to this franchise is some Benedict Arnold type of shit... 😆
Seriously though ever since Luck quit I feel like ownership/management has cared more about selling tickets than competing for championships ... I've talked myself into the Colts just winning the division for so many years now that its getting harder and harder to get pumped to watch a season... we have a potential generational talent on a rookie deal and the fact that management didn't do anything in FA makes me feel like ownership isn't completely sold on Richardson... I think AR has the ability but if he doesn't have the players around him it doesnt matter... Ballard better do something big or I have no hope for winning anything this up coming season... this channel and content is the only thing keeping me going at this point... lol

The Colts need Brock Bowers. To open up the run game, you need an all star check down guy. He's a 1/1 like Richardson. Bowers for the win.
The question is, would you trade up for a TE? Bowers may not be available at 15
TE’s don’t really open up the run game. If anything it makes it harder because players have to play down and tighter. Also jalenti woods is pretty good but im not mad at brock and woods
If the Colts could make this pick trade, they should. Even if Odunze, or Nabers is not there maybe TE Brock Bowers still is on the board. The Colts can get one of these WRs or Bowers and the Offense turns into an explosion waiting to happen.
So you would trade up for a TE? I’m on the fence about that.
@@thecoltscast I would trade up for a Generational TE Talent, Brock Bowers is him! Maybe both of us are thinking too small. Jim Irsay covets one player in this draft, that player came out this week and made a statement saying he would love to play for the Indianapolis Colts and follow in his father's footsteps. Ballard cleared enough money in the Buckner deal to make the move toward the top of the draft. Think about it, most Colts main players are under contract for the next few years and the owner would like for it to happen.
If Ballard can move up 6 spots to #9 for: 15 and 151 in 2024 and our #2 in 2025 . . . . that's stealing. I haven't checked the value chart but I would think #9 overall will cost two 1's. Even so, I'd do it for an elite playmaker like Odunze if he's still there. And that's no sure thing he makes it to the Bears' pick.
