I remember when there was a bidding war for that property, Fort McPherson. There were developers from all over the world and wanted that property but Tyler Perry and his team broke it down for the mayor, city council, governor, and State Legislature.
Tyler Perry didn't have the highest bid for Fort McPherson but his long-term strategy, meaning jobs generated and the possible tourism that his Studio Plus Pinewood-Atlanta would bring in... the state couldn't resist.

HEY CHUCK!! Culture is formed by collective human experience. Particularly in America, the Black experience has been drastically different than that of other races, therefore the race has evolved its own independent culture from what you would call mainstream American culture. Quite simple to understand, even for someone who isnt black, slavery and then segregation excluded blacks from mainstream American culture, so they created their own and decades later it is now becoming more mainstream.

I was there that evening singing. This vid really brings back memories. It was a night that I will never forget.
I got chills as Mr Perry spoke about the grounds where the Confederate Army made plans to keep black humans enslaved now belongs to him, a black man. Powerful.

Honestly when I first heard about it and even caught a few glances of it on UA-cam a few weeks ago, I really didn't think too much about it. But after viewing this full eye opener of the studios, Tyler growing up in poverty on Sylvan Avenue/Rd and now having his name listed on a sign right next to it, I immediately felt chills. ..especially when he said " if you want success, work like you're broke"!!

personally feel that Jada should of gone only because he really wanted her to. It was a special and unique moment in time and he wanted to share it with his wife. It wasn't about what Jada felt was best it was what mattered to him. I got the sense that he was dissappointed. Saw it in his face while they walked hand in hand. A healthy marriage is one where there is mutual submission which makes each other happy. If she had gone it would not have taken anything from his moment; if anything, it would have made him a happier man because she respected and honoured his request.
