Thanks for the video Sir, my friends and I tried a similar trip in August of 2011, but couldn't get to Leh, Ladakh as the roads both in the Spiti Valley and north of Manali had been closed by landslides due to unseasonal snow. Hats off to the BRO who keep the roads open. Have you ever ridden in the far east of India? I would like to try to ride from India through to Thailand one day.
Its such a shame that an amazing paradise like Ladakh has so poor infrastructure. I mean just look at the highway and road conditions. You are driving on the edge of your luck. Anyways, one hell of a trip report. The quality of the video is 4K. The visuals are breathtaking and to top it off an amazing track which runs behind the scenes pumps up the adrenaline and makes you wanna visit Ladakh one day. +Joseph Osborne : its a 500 cc ....I always recommend using a thunderbird because of its high handle bar and wide seat...its a cruiser and you will not be exhausted ....my friend was riding a bullet and he felt the same...go with thunderbird mate...cheers...

+xenonxm : It does not rain in LEH, its a dry land. Even if it drizzles which happened to us near the pangong lake last year, it lasted for about 5 minutes. Plan your trip around Mid july- August 1st week. Thats the best time time you can be there, dont just rush after the rohtang pass is open. Your wait is worth and July is the ultimate time you can be there. Hope that helps...
