Looks great definitely help in the dark. I wish I could tuned in last night but I help teach a class on Tuesday. Keep up the good work nova looking great. 👍😎✌️
Hey BW! Luv any 55 videos you put out those headlight rings can be tricky. They were engineered when bulbs lasted for longtime periods even years before replacing. Those old bulbs were made with quality as you know. I think you might be missing the spring that attaches the stainless trim ring to the bucket if not mistaken. It holds it in place till you twist it and tighten the screws... Havent changed mine in decades,LOLLL!
Yeah BW like I said in the chat tonight my headlight assemblies supposedly and I do think they are original buckets and rings not 1956. I checked today & pulled the bezel on my 55 and the spring thats on the bucket goes to the outboard side of the stainless trim ring first as theirs a small hole in the ring close to the edge. That kind of holds everything together trim ring, cup and headlight as you line up the screws snugly and also provides tension to slightly pull in and adjust the headlights. Anyhoo I think your past all this by now,HA! .......later
i usually leave one screw loose, take 2 out and bend back trim ring and pull-out headlight. Also always check that the new light works before assembly everything
Good job BW would have sucked if the lights didn't work since u didn't try them before u put them back. Good video on the nova some people don't understand what it takes to change all the sheet metal and get it straight. C u on Friday
Thanks Mark, honestly, I just put the lamps in when we wired the car, and was like I will order them and just didn't lol. It took till I needed them LOL
Cool video BW! Im with you man im looking for the small projects that you can complete in a day or two. Your right that 7 inch single headlight was very common all the way up to the early 70s! The lights should help out alot on hot summer nights. Good luck with the exhaust i think thatll help out on the fumes and sound. Later Buddy 👍
Mo better with new bulbs. 👍 I remember what you were talking about that you could twist them stainless rings. You could put it on then twist and tighten the screws.

The spring for the adjustment to bucket was there. Maybe a second spring for the retainer ring? It's possible
@@bwsgarage Im wrong BW Il look at mine tomorrow my memory isnt great either,LOL!

Yea man, thanks brother
good job, need lights
Sure do LoL
My headlight rings are held in place with a couple of springs on my 56 . No screws .
One of the many differences between the years I suspect
I have to take my whole front end apart to get to my headlights ....
Some of them these days are hard to get to
like ! !
Thank you David, and thanks again for the plug today over on Chad's show
Looks great, how come your front wheels are so tilted ?
Might be way it's sitting? Toe may need a little adjustment, rides nice
👍👍✌️
Thanks Bud
