    This wasn't a Grand Slam final so people won't think of this as one of the greatest matches of all time, but it absolutely is one of the best matches of all time. Andy said it wasn't about a strategy - it was all heart and fight. Those are the best matches. These two left it all out there and put on a show in the process.

    Aynaoui had so much potential crazy how he accomplished so little with it. The man has so much charisma as well.

      Do you really play tennis? Do you understand tennis? Sorry but I think you don't. How come you think that? Younes had such a weak backhand. Of course he had a great slice. The truth is that he played with his maximum potential. Couldn't do better.

    • @mrprince6467
      @mrprince6467 4 роки тому

      he is still considered to be the greatest morocan tennis player of all time until this date in terms of what he accomplished , even tho he retired years ago . quarter final ao and us open i think , that was like a dream, and he won some pro tournaments too . and he is one of two moroccans that won the 500 atp major morocan tournmant along side with wawrinka and robredo from spain . so he is considered to be the best moroccan tennis player of all time , with el alami who was a strong player too (i can also mention Hicham Arazi)

      His career was plagued by injuries especially in the ankle, whenever he managed to reach his top fitness an injury came and put him aside for at least 6 months. 2003 was the only year he could play for months without injuries, but even then he had to always sleep with an ankle fixator ... Anyway he managed to play decent games and win even at the age of 45, and he was the first player to prove that a tennis player can go on in the top level as long as his late 30's and even 40's way before it became a normal thing with Federer and Nadal

  • @jwoodward101

    I think you'll find he has the most technical and swift one handed backhand in the world...

    Yes, I prefer watching Federer, Gasquet, Wawrinka etc. when they are in full flow, but you can't deny that Djokovic and Nadal are outstanding. Personally I am a Federer fan and think he possesses more tennis quality than both of these players but their fitness, determination and work rate makes them so hard to beat, which is why their matches against each other and against Federer are generaly so good

  • @jwoodward101
    @jwoodward101 11 років тому

    He said not the greatest match in terms of quality, what does Al Aynaoui's technique have to do with that? I can think of over 20 matches just off the top of my head with higher tennis quality than this, the majority of which involve Federer, Nadal and Djoko obviously

  • @Steevy84
    @Steevy84 11 років тому

    Santoro?
    Come on, he had more mana or magic power but not technique :p
    His game was the ugliest in the world with some extra magic shots time to time, his way was to trouble you and make you play bad, very bad, Safin can confirm.
