SANAAは、妹島和世と西沢立衛による建築家ユニット。建築界のノーベル賞と呼ばれているプリツカー賞を日本人では丹下健三、槇文彦、安藤忠雄に次いで2010年に受賞した。代表作は「岐阜県立国際情報科学芸術アカデミーマルチメディア工房」、「ディオール表参道」、「海の駅なおしま」など。「金沢21世紀美術館」はまちに開かれ、まちとゆるやかにつながった美術館。外壁や内壁に多くのガラスを採用しており、建物の内と外にいる人がお互いの様子をゆるやかに感じ取ることができる。

21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa Design: SANAA Completed: 2004 Location: 1-2-1 Hirosaka, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture SANAA is an architectural unit consisting of Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. In 2010, they won the Pritzker Prize, known as the Nobel Prize of the architectural world, following Kenzo Tange, Fumihiko Maki, and Tadao Ando as Japanese recipients. Their representative works include the Gifu Prefectural International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences Multimedia Workshop, Dior Omotesando, and Sea Station Naoshima. The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa is an art museum that is open to the city and loosely connected to it. It uses a lot of glass in the exterior and interior walls, allowing people inside and outside the building to feel each other's presence. Please watch along with Henri Bertini's Minuet.
