And subconsciously we act out on those emotions and we don’t always realize it bc we have always been victimized so when we take out our emotions inappropriately it comes off as “not taking accountability” bc again subconsciously we’re still the victim. People like Brooke who have been honest about it are the reason I finally felt comfortable going through with my nose job this year. I had wanted a nose job since I was young (my natural nose was VERY large), but I was so worried about the stigma. But others who have been so honest about their procedures made me more comfortable about potential stigma. It was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I am very honest with others about it

For me it was such a big change (even though my rhinoplasty was very subtle/natural looking) and I’m very happy with my decision, but that’s because my starting nose was a life long insecurity. It definitely takes the right surgeon too! I paid a lot for mine, but it was so so worth it. My surgeon gave me a very natural result that really fits my face. Always happy to talk about it :)

me & tana are the same age and it’s so refreshing to see someone experience the same thing i have with drinking (party girl who always overdoes it to pretty much sober) and not to be parasocial or wtv, but i truly feel like tana doesn’t even enjoy drinking anymore; she just does it because it’s what’s expected of her and so much of who she is to herself is based around being “a good time.” but she’s surrounded by good friends and i hope she realizes that she doesn’t always need to be the entertainment. i feel like makoa has helped a lot with that too, just chilling her out and taking life slowed down. idk i’m just so happy for her and proud to have grown up alongside her.

Regarding drinking alcohol: you’ve gotten a taste of adult- woman Tana while being sober. It’s hard (and for me , i remember feeling kind of silly) to go backwards to being “girl” Tana. That was my experience when I went through this journey in my late 20s. Looking back , my sobriety was actually the BEGINNING OF MY LIFE. I had SO much fun in my teens and early twenties being drunk, high, all the things.. but adult Me (not drinking) showed up and damn I loved her and life really came on strong and fabulous! Within a few years, I was engaged, bought my first home, landed into what became my career.. it was such a transformation era. Here I am at 59 now- retired 4 years ago because of my financial stability thru my career, investing well, and not throwing money at alcohol and drugs certainly helped that! I got married, raised 4 amazing girls into adulthood, had fantastic family vacations, even bought a vacation property! I KNOW if I had stayed longer in my partying phase - my life wouldn’t have turned out so beautifully as it did! Wishing you all the love and support during your “caterpillar to butterfly “ journey! ❤

Brooke, thank you for sharing your story, I'm a gay male that's been in a similar relationship situation for 6 years off and on, this man had me evicted from every apartment, I ended up in a tent for two years off and on, had to move back home with my family, I was going to go back and try and make it work at the end of the month but this episode snapped me out of it, I have bpd as well and he was my person, isolated me from everyone, made me look crazy to everyone. Manipulated my friends from back home, family members, gaslit me, text book narcissist. Thank you again, keep telling your story and saving lives. People like Brooke who have been honest about it are the reason I finally felt comfortable going through with my nose job this year. I had wanted a nose job since I was young (my natural nose was VERY large), but I was so worried about the stigma. But others who have been so honest about their procedures made me more comfortable about potential stigma. It was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I am very honest with others about it
I want a rhinoplasty sooo bad but I joined a Facebook rhinoplasty page and soo many people regret it so i chickened out haha

For me it was such a big change (even though my rhinoplasty was very subtle/natural looking) and I’m very happy with my decision, but that’s because my starting nose was a life long insecurity.
It definitely takes the right surgeon too! I paid a lot for mine, but it was so so worth it. My surgeon gave me a very natural result that really fits my face.

Regarding drinking alcohol: you’ve gotten a taste of adult- woman Tana while being sober. It’s hard (and for me , i remember feeling kind of silly) to go backwards to being “girl” Tana. That was my experience when I went through this journey in my late 20s.
Looking back , my sobriety was actually the BEGINNING OF MY LIFE. I had SO much fun in my teens and early twenties being drunk, high, all the things.. but adult Me (not drinking) showed up and damn I loved her and life really came on strong and fabulous! Within a few years, I was engaged, bought my first home, landed into what became my career.. it was such a transformation era. Here I am at 59 now- retired 4 years ago because of my financial stability thru my career, investing well, and not throwing money at alcohol and drugs certainly helped that! I got married, raised 4 amazing girls into adulthood, had fantastic family vacations, even bought a vacation property!
I KNOW if I had stayed longer in my partying phase - my life wouldn’t have turned out so beautifully as it did!

Brooke was making a joke referencing to this meme, she clarified after she doesnt even think Maddison has surgery. Meme culture is a huge part of the internet and pop culture these days and celebrities are often at the face of these memes and I dont think it warrents being labeled as ‘mean girl’ to reference one.

i truly appreciate brooke for being so real & honest about her feelings, especially talking about the guilt and depression that comes with being in an emotionally abusive relationship as a mentally struggling person yourself. i find that a lot of people act like you should just get over it because it was bad for you but it’s so much more complicated and deep than that especially when you struggle with mental health in the first place. it really makes me feel seen
So grateful for the transparent conversations about plastic surgery and addiction. These are healthy learning opportunities for all of us girlies 💖
