  • I first wanted to transcribe the solo from the Proto Cosmos performance earlier in the video, but that one is already included in the booklet! Fortunately the outro solo during the ending credits wasn't, so here you go :-D
    Happy studying!

nice job! this solo seems a bit more "risky" than the one that's included in the booklet. i'm not sure it flows as well, but there are some great ideas in this one.

He use this a lot when he are in a "safe spot" (He use this on the final solo Section of Pud wud where the note is only Am) in this case is Amaj#11. This is the beggining when the fun begins. You have to think that your "safe spot" is Lydian (because of the #11) but then he play the #7 of the B Mixolidian (Basically A lydian) then he plays with another note of another scale (practically he modullates all the tension and release he can do in a short time). You can find the melodic scale, Diminished, augmented, and even combinations with the Bepop scale (in this particular case of Amaj#11 you could use E major bepop scale (#5) etc such as the scale that i mentioned. You can search for "just of the corious" VHS and booklet on the internet where you can find all the scales he uses. He mixes and he creates his own atmosphere around that. Everything has a point when you analyse note per note.... it's just wonderful
